hi guys,

am 23 and have been progressively and steadily gaining weight for a couple of years now, the problem was that i never saw it, or rather i was in denial!!! You know how you have a BMI of 25 and you think, i can improve on that, then you hit 27 and you think, not too bad. When i hit 29.8 {i still insist not 30!!} then i realised i have to do somethin about it, so here i am!! sigh!

I rarely cook but i think i should start then i will be in control of how many calories i consume.

Hey there. Just turned 22 this August and am realizing I don't have that size two highschool body anymore (then again I was 17 when i graduated and just now realizing I have to keep up with it!!!) I used to work at a desk which was horrible for my weight because I have the mentality that it won't catch up with me I can eat whatever I want. Well, guess what - it did!! I would not call myself fat at all, I just need to lose a good 5 to 10 pounds and tone up my body. I notice that my arms are gaining weight along with my face. Even when I was little I always had big thighs and a big butt but now its getting too much.

My boyfriend and I live together and are trying to start eating much healthier and he has started walking and I have started ZUMBA which I LOVE I actually look forward to working out! However this semester with school starting and full time there is not enough time in the day to eat healthy!!

Anyway I really love this website so far, I just joined yesterday and I am already obsessed it is so educational! I hope to meet great people through this group and any advice/tips are greatly appreciated! (Especially for butt and thighs lol)

Hey, how did that p90x work out for you? I heard it's great but I haven't been able to stick with it.

1. History with weight loss: I've been trying for quite a while to lose weight, and lost 30 lbs in the beginning of the year but kinda just stopped doing what i was doing and got out of the swing.  So I'm back trying to reach the goal because counting calories has been the only thing thats ever worked for me
2. History with Calorie Count:  I'm new to CC, stumbled upon it google seaching for calorie counters.....LOVE IT....its great
3. Reason for joining this group:  wanted so low cal recipes and to share some as I come up with them
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  I'm 24, single mom of 2 little girls.  Love em.  Love my job, life in general rocks right now and I wanted my body and health to rock along with life!

Hi everyone, I just joinrd CC today and I feel a little lost. I have lost 20 pounds since May. A friend of mine is counting calories and is looking wonderful. Well, I thought counting calories would be better and I could accomplish my goal in a more successfull way. So I googled counting calories and here I am. Smile

1. History with weight loss: In Spring2008, I wanted to get back to pre-pregnancy weight after my 2nd son. I did ok, but in Dec. 2008, my stepbrother was killed in Iraq. I put on weight like nothing else and started to get to #s I'd never seen before. In March of 2009, I started to get focused and really work. I've lost a total of 17 pounds, am 2 pounds away from pre-pregnancy weight, 5 away from goal!!!

2. History with Calorie Count: I've been here since Spring/Summer of 2008, but just since March, I've been dedicated to using it.

3. Reason for joining this group: Needing new ideas for every meal.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I'm a 31 yo working mom of 2 boys and married for 9.5 years. I love sports, especially soccer. I started playing again in May and love every minute. I'm running in my first 5K in 12 days, and I plan on doing one a month. I also have a 8 hr./day desk job, which actually keeps me motivated to workout everyday so I can fight the inactivity I have during the day. I also have a Golden Retriever who used to walk or run with me until recently. She just can't do it anymore. :(  I also love to scrapbook and photography. I love to go to the lake in the summer and take mini weekend road trips.

Hello! I joined CC a while ago but just decided to be more active in the forums/groups.  I've struggled with the same 10 - 15 lbs since I was 12; I am almost 25 now. Got into a bit of disordered eating when I was a teen. I'm better now but still have trouble with overeating(like most americans).

I've been counting calories off and on for the past year. I started to get serious about it lately as I am noticing not only to I have a gut, but my husband dissatisfied with his appearance/weight now too.

So I thought I'd hang out in this group so that I can come up with meals that leave both of us feeling satisfied, while not going over my calories for the day. I would love to share some of my ideas as well.

I'm a stay-at-home wife living in AZ ( moving to Japan in January, where I will get a job), I've been married for almost two years, I have 2 cats that make me laugh on a daily basis, I love to cook, I struggle getting motivated to exercise, and am teaching myself to knit and crochet.

Hey everyone! I'mm Jess I am 20 years old almost 21. I have an awesome husband and am doing pretty good in life. I have always struggled with weight since i was little. I lost a good portion of it in high school...i got down to about 135-140... which i was very happy at...needed some toning up but thats about it. Now, I am up to 155 and am VERY UNHAPPY with it. I don't feel as  healthy and I am sick of going up and down. People seem to have this precieved notion that just because some one is young that they have a faster metabolisim... I hate to say it but its not true... I can not eat...work my lil butt off...and still gain weight...

I decided to try this website out because it seemed like a pretty easy way to keep track of things like what I ate and what i did...  I joind this group cos im alays looking for low cal recipes!!

Hey, I'm Pam and 25. I've had a weight probably since graduating high school. It wasn't too bad but then I got depressed and more pounds just seemed to pile on one day. Last month I got serious about weight loss and started eating better and working out every other day. I've been counting calories and decided to get back on here to have a place to record my progress. I know it can be a slow road to my goal weight but I'm feeling good about doing it with good ol' hard work.

I am a Navy wife with no kids currently. We'd like to ttc and I know losing this weight can improve our chances. Plus with me more aware of what I'm eating my hubby is making small changes himself :)
