Hi, I'm Ron and I weigh 320 pounds at 19 years old.

1. Well, I've tried losing weight before...but it was just really hard to start eating less so that I could lose it. I've committed myself this time because I'm afraid of what might happen if I get any larger.

2. I just joined calorie count in an effort to make losing weight a little bit easier.

3. I've enjoyed playing DDR for about 4 years now...but I'm only now making myself do a minimum amount of time per day as a form of aerobic excercise. I can play on standard mode fairly well, but I can't do that for very long so I do my 90 minutes a day on light mode.

4. I'm a temp for Denso manufacturing and I live alone in an efficiency. I have no pets and I love just about anything to do with computers and technology. I'm a technophile.

1. I'm hypothyroid. So losing weights always been hard for me. I'm hoping to be able to lose weight finally.
2. I joined to find a little support from people who are going through the same thing.
3. DDR is one of my methods for exercise. I love the game.

1.   Always been overweight, but just over the healthy lin
2. Today has been my most active day on the site
3. I lost 8 lbs on DDR once, but fell out of the habit - I'm starting to integrate it more and more into my schedule to burn calories.  It's good to see I'm not the only one.
4. I'm not very interesting - 33 years old, secretary job, married, no kids, suburbs... the painfully average stuff

Does anyone else talk back to the "dj" ?  Just me?  thought so.

DJ: You're not an ordinary fella!

me: That's right!  I'm not EVEN a fella!

1. History with weight loss: I've always been a heavy guy.  But since high school, I've flip-flopped between 260 and 320 (past 8 years or so).

2. History with Calorie Count: I've been a member of calorie count for a little while, but never used it seriously.  My current plan is to track EVERYTHING I eat here if at all possible, along with most forms of excercise.

3. Reason for joining this group: I began playing DDR back in about 2000 or 2001 when 3rd mix hit the local arcade.  I played DDR fairly seriously for the next 3 years or so (until about 2004), and then just dropped it more or less.  My current excercise regimen consists of gym three times a week, with about half an hour of DDR tacked onto the end (Yay for my work gym having TV's with GOOD inputs)

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  I'm a network admin in Arlington, VA.  At the moment, I live with two other guys (Owner of a house and another roommate).  I'm a computer geek, and have an on again off again love for Anime.  I also like to ride my bicycle around, but I never seem to get much free time to do that lately.

1. Incidentally I've only ever seen my waistline significantly decrease in my adult life while playing DDR almost daily.

2. I'm probably not as motivated to log my foods and workouts as I should. But I've been around a while.

3. DDR is and probably always will be my favorite form of 'exercise'. I am a true gamer at heart and one that gets me moving is the best thing for me. I've been playing for five years. I used to play it competitively then gained back all my weight when I couldn't afford entry fees for the tournaments and coinage for the arcade (I am a firm believer that the arcade experience is better than anything available at home). Now I started playing it again on my PC.

4. I'm 26 years old. I'm a cashier at a store conveniently located two miles from our place. I live with my mother and grandmother so we can pull together during tough financial times. I'm a video game geek, I like anime and cosplay, and other such hobbies of nerd quality.

zaionczyk: I don't talk back to the DJ, but sometimes I quote him. The way he says "Oh mah gawd" when you fail a song, or "can I call you a dancing master" are hilarious to me. :)

hey i'm ally. i'm nineteen and last i checked i weighed 180 lbs.

1. i've been overweight since i was in the fifth grade. the smallest i ever got down to was 150 and i did it by playing ddr daily and just kinda watching what i ate. i'm trying to keep up the habit again.
2. i just joined this website but its been such a useful tool so far. i always diet about a week and then just blow it off because i get unmotivated or something. but i'm hoping i'll find some success using this site.
3. obviously i joined this group because i play ddr every day for a half hour mostly dancing to songs on standard. light is too easy for me and standard is starting to become less of a challenge. lol i'm not ready to move past standard.
4. um, i'm left handed and shy. i'm going to school to be a med lab technician. i spend most of my time with my boyfriend and my bestfriend. and i love my mini chihuahua cecil. ♥ lol.

i really just wanna meet other people who have played ddr to lose weight. i wanna know i'm not the only one out there. haha.
