Hello - I am new to both this group as well as Calorie Count - so not much history there. This coming year I WILL loose at least 30 pounds, and Will do it by counting calories, exercising and living healthu and productive life. Last yearI lost about 30 lb - slowly and enjoyably. At this time I weigh about 202 lb, and eat 5 small meals a day, and trying very hard to replace all refined sugar with fruit. I am trying to maintain my calorie intake around 1500 kcal. I live in Silver Spring. I am married, work full time in DC, live with three men ( two sons and husban) who cook a lot and don't gain much weight, although they try to support my efforts.
I've been struggling with my weight for the past 5yrs and have been able to lose and also gain back what I had lost plus some extra and I've decided to make 2012 about a New Healthy Me, so here I am day 1 of many..... wish me luck! By joining this group I'm hoping to make some new friends that can help me stay focused and keep me on track and if I can be there to support anyone else I'm here for ya! My goal is to lose 30 lb, which will get me back to my weight when I started my job 8 years ago! My assignment changes every 3-5 years. Each time I move and start a new challenging assignment, the stress makes my weight skyrocket. My heaviest was November 2011. Since then, I've lost 20 lb, but then gained 5 back. I need people to keep me accountable to keep moving down! If any of you live near Rockville and would like to meet up for neighborhood walk/jog session, please let me know.
My name is Kristi and I live in Urbana, but I teach in Gaithersburg. I have lived here for 3 years. I have battled with my weight all of my life. I am not big now, but I do have 15 pounds to lose. I gained this weight since my husband and I moved here compliments of the U.S. Marine Corps.
I love the outdoors, especially bicycling, hiking, walking, horseback riding, etc., but I do not have anyone to accompany me. My husband works in D.C. and has a 2 hour commute so he does not arrive home until late.
I would love to meet up and exercise together!
I really want to stick to this program and make friends who will support me and who enjoys the same activities as I do. We are going to be here for another 4 years, so I could really use the friendship and company.
