Hi there,

I just joined the group today, I've never joined a group on the internet before so this is new and exciting.  I hope that it will help me to achieve my goals by being in contact with people who are also experiencing the same thing.

A bit about myself.  I have had a bumpy history with weight loss.  Was seriously into athletics all through my teen years and training was considered at an elite level, had very bad eating habits through high-school because I was burning so much energy.  My regular lunch was a meat pie, a coke, a packet of chips, and if i could afford it a chocolate bar, and I was always hungry haha.  So when I finished running when I was 18 i found it very hard to control my weight.  Had bulimia when I was 19 but I beat that and all of this year I have been loosing weight (that i piled on after the bulimia) the healthy way.  Its probably taken me about 5-6 months to lose 5kgs, but Im happy with that and am feeling really healthy.  I will be graduating from university in November and am planning on taking a year off for adventuring around the world!  First stop, Thailand for some serious relaxing.

My goal has been pretty constant for the last 2 years since I got better and that has been to be 55kgs and to stay at that weight instead of yoyoing.  Calorie Count really helps me to stick to the 1200 calories a day that I need to eat, I have been signed up since 2006, but since that time Calorie Count has really turned into a supportive environment, it feels very positive.  Its great to be able to receive support from people who experience similar things as you, and know that you may also be able to support them.

Thanks :)

Hey everyone!

1 and 2. I did join C-C last year, got the results I wanted, and then fell off the bandwagon, back into my terrible eating habits, and gained everything back.

3. I want to set a short-term goal by the end of September of losing about 5 pounds in this month and then go from there (long-term goals and I don't get along).

4. Just moved to Atlanta with a new job! Have plenty of access to a gym, and finally the power to control my own diet in a way I see fit (but unfortunately, I'm not that good at it yet)

I hope to cut my portions down, and limit myself to about 1,500cals/day at first and keep working out. Anyone have any meal plans that they follow? Any suggestions? I could really use help with that... thanks everyone, and nice to have a group!

Hello cc'rs.

My name is Crystal, I just turned 24 last week I am the mother of a 6 y/o daughter and 3 y/o son. My original weight loss goal was going to be on my B-day. However, when I started I didn't think how many weeks I had till that date, basically it was unrealistic.

So here I am week 9 and Ive lost 16 lbs. S/W:164 , C/W:148 , G/W:140.

Ive got 8lb to go and I think I can do it by the last week of September.

How did I get this way? Two years ago I moved from Cali to Oregon, left a full time job to do my school work and watch the kids. I put on 30 lb! Even though I was seeing my self get thick, I didn't do anything about it. Then just a few weeks ago I was getting fed-up with not having any thing to where and I couldn't afford to buy any clothes so I told my self that was it!

Well I am replying to my own post.... I lost the last 8 lbs but it took me longer because I had a tooth pulled and I wasn't able to exercise and I was trying to eat thick soups that were high in calories so I wouldn't get to weak. So now that I reached my goal a few weeks ago I have started to maintain but I feel as though I am eating to much and I think I should try to get down to 135, this way if I do start to gain weight I will still be below or at 140 lbs.

I am 33 yr wm living in Knightdale, NC. I am married with 2 children, 18 month old girl and 9 week old boy. My wife and I are both exercising and eating healthier.

I have set a goal to get back down to 165 lbs by the end of September.

from Feb 16th - Mar 16th, I lost 9 lbs from 217 to 208. i have not lost any since then. I am not discouraged but I am worried I will not make my goal or even get close unless i can figure out away to get over this hump.

yesterday I changed up my workout schedule to workout in the mornings before work. I am hoping this will help me burn more calories through out the day and an added bonus is I feel more awake at work.

I would love to start some sort of competition with a small group to lose the most weight in a set period.
