I obviously live in the area, San Joaquin to be exact, near Modesto.  I have been on calorie-count for almost two years and it has been an AWESOME way of keeping track of calorie intake and calories burned while exercising.

I have been a vegetarian for only three years, and a vegan for about two weeks.

I have about six pounds to go until I reach my goal weight, and I am Super excited.

Welcome!!!!

Have you tried Zen Bakery Blueberry Fiber Cakes? They are these awesome vegan blueberry bran muffins ... I get them at Trader Joe's and they are the bomb! (I eat them EVERY day!)

MOLLY

No, I've never heard of them but they sound fantastic!  And knowing Trader Joe's, I bet they're made really great ingredients and low on calories!

Well, I joined this group some time ago. I should probably stop being lazy and post something. Laughing

1. I've never been thin. I have been varying degrees of overweight. I'll never be thin, but I don't want to be, either. I like being nice and soft, thank you. I do want to be healthy and replace a good portion of my fat with muscle, though. Anyways, getting back on topic. When I left home in August, I was at 195. As of now, I am at 184. My next goal is to be at 180 (lower would also be awesome) by December 31. From there? No clue.

2. I joined Calorie Count almost a year ago exactly. I really tried, but I just wasn't in control of much of my life at that point. Stuck at home with many of my parents' bad eating habits, and a very busy schedule at school that kept me working at my computer for much of my free time. Now I'm out of that situation, and taking full responsibility for what I eat and how/how often I exercise. Not really using the tools here except the forums for support and the weight log to keep track of my progress.

3.  Well, I've spent my whole life in central CA. Born and raised in Bakersfield, I moved to Fresno for college this fall. I'm interested in talking to more local people. ^_^

4. First thing I share in all those start of class, get to know each other sessions: I'm a psych major, planning to go through the certification program for victim services. I'm 18. I have a boyfriend who lives too far away (near Thousand Oaks, a four hour drive), but we adore each other and are making it work. I love cooking, especially baking, and I don't get to do nearly enough of it anymore since I lack a kitchen. I am developing a new hobby, though! I plan on getting into crafty stuff, especially the making of clothes and accessories.

My, talk about a Wall O' Text. That's me, though, in an especially large nutshell.

Hi everybody!

I live in Oakhurst, I'm retired and I am trying to stay fit and healthy.  I am also trying to stay in my bathing suit which I fell out of this last fall and winter by gaining 20 pounds!   I am 56 yo, but I still like to go swimming, sailing, windsurfing and enjoy the sun.

I joined Calorie Count January 22 because I didn't want to go back on Jenny Craig.   I know I can do this by myself.  And I've lost 9 pounds, only 11 more to go to hit my goal of 144.

I joined this group to meet people, get advice, find new lo-cal foods to eat and find motivation/will power!

Oh, good! Another person. ^_^

Welcome. Congratulations on the progress you've already made, and good luck on reaching your goal.

Hi there! I live outside of Fresno, and would love to find someone to walk with. I spend a lot of time on the Woodward Park trails. My goal is to start jogging!

Anyone out interested, drop me a line.  Smile -Michelle

I've been on Calorie Count for awhile now but haven't done anything because I have been pregnant. I had my baby a month ago and now I am ready to get to working out again. I lost weight following what was offered in advice from the site then found out I was pregnant. I'm from Portrerville. A tiny town between Visalia and Bakersfield. I have 3 kids, 2 girls and a baby boy now!

Hello everone, I'm glad that I found a local group. I've been a member of calorie count since January of 2007. I've been off and on due to having children. Before my primary reason for joining was weight loss. This time it is a little different. My mother just pasted away at the age of 63, due to heart desease. Her mother pasted away at 62 from the same condition. On both sides of my family I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. So my goal is to not only eat less, but eat a healthier diet overall. I am also changing my childrens diet to a healthier, lower fat diet.

I just moved to Bakersfield in January of this year. I would love to meet other moms that like to workout too. If anyone is in Bakersfield I would love to have a bike riding partner or walking/jogging partner. Mornings or evenings works for me.

As far as my interests go; I'm a mother of three, I have two dogs, a golden retriever/corgi mix, and a labradoodle. I like to play softball, but also enjoy all other sports. I ride my bike daily and am trying to get back into running. I'm currently a stay at home mom and hope to stay that way for another 3 1/2 years or so. I feel at my best when I weight 140ish and I currently weight 154ish. So, I would like to loose 14 of the hardest pounds ever.
