I'm Jan.  I've had weight problems off and on for all my adult life.  I got married 8 years or so ago and put on weight after that.  I'd maintained my weight at 125-130 lbs. for 12 years and ballooned up to 163 when I started cooking and watching after a husband again.  I joined CC about 14 months ago.  I'm sorry to admit that I didn't do much to lose weight until my husband gave me a miraculous weight loss and exercise machine called a Trikke for Christmas.  Again, I languished, learning to ride the Trikke but not being particularly energetic about it.  Last June, after goofing off for months, I got serious about riding the Trikke and watching my calorie intake.  Since then I've lost 24 lbs. and many inches I haven't bothered to measure.

As for my interests:  Too many to believe.  I'm a photographer, avid golfer, Trikker, tennis player, fly airplanes, paddle canoes and kayaks and love life.  I'm over 70 and have 4 grandchildren who I spoil and leave with their parents to deal with the troubles I cause.  I have a Sheltie who follows me wherever I go and irritates my husband.  Life is good!

Oh, yeah, I'm a retired ER nurse.  I've become addicted to golf, have a handicap of 16.5 and play a couple of times per week during the summer when golf's cheap here in Florida.  During the winter, I play in a ladies league once a week.
