*renumbers posts to make my post #1*

Jessie's post doesn't count since she didn't respond to the list of stuff.  So I accept your challenge.

1. History with weight loss:  I've been overweight since I was 5 years old, so I suppose it goes without saying that I've tried practically every diet plan out there (even though I just said it).  I developed hypothyroidism after my son was born, which caused my weight to skyrocket into the 300s even though I had not changed my diet/calorie intake.  I take medication for this condition, and I've been informed that I'll be taking the meds for the rest of my life.

2. History with Calorie Count:  I've been a CC+ member since January '08.  I'm still a rookie, and don't expect to achieve pro status until I lose at least 50 pounds.  I was pretty good about journaling everyday, but seem to have lost some steam around the end of May.  I'm back to journaling everyday now though.

3. Reason for joining this group:  I have an addiction to LOLcats.  I can't seem to create any of my own captions.  I need some ideas.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  I'm an HR Specialist (Federal sector).  I'm married and have a 4-year old son, and we live in Maryland. No pets, although my son is like having a pet.  My interests are somewhat eclectic and include crafting, mosaic art, music, etc (see profile for additional interests).

Next.

OOOH.  but normally i am so good about following the rules!

hear you go.  follower.

1. History with weight loss:  was active as a kid (judo from 6-16 yrs old), gained weight slowly after i quit ( due to knee injury), did ww for a while, arobics... started at the gym w/ a friend 3 summers ago, back to judo with daughter 2 summers ago,  knee surgery so i could continue playing judo, started counting calories jan 08 (had peeked at the site previously)  seriously back to judo this spring and summer.  Highest weight: 182, current weight:137, competitive weight as a teen:125-130, CC goal:119.5 ( i can't even imagine.)

2. History with Calorie Count: Kind of already covered that.  started counting this jan.  love it.  go through dependancy cycles with it.

3. Reason for joining this group: cats are cute.  i like cats.  i like my cat.  my dog likes her too.  he is sure she must be fun.  she does not approve of his intrest.  we may be looking at harrassment.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  Play judo.    Married, 1 daughter, 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 hampster, 1 fish.  well, hampster and fish are technically daughter's. i work for the state.  desk job.

Hi new friends! Another friend on here just let me know about this forum. First I absoluetly love Cats and LOLcats is the first thing I do in the a.m. even before BREAKFAST! It starts my day off with a smile. I understand the "language" but not sure if I could try speaking it myself!

I have been up and down the scales all my life. Never extremes either way but way too heavy this last period for my height and happiness! (170)

I am 5'51/2" (NOW) between 130-135. So I am finally maintaining a good weight for me. I have been here before though and have to keep the changes i have made for a lifetime.

I live in western N.C. mountains am divorced and have 5 cat"kids".

Looking forward to getting to know all of you and having fun with the LOLcats.

I started at CC  in May, 2008. I'm into my second weight-loss challenge. So far I have lost about 27 pounds, but still have about 35 to go. I work (full-time) in retail, part-time on a condo board and volunteer at a cancer centre assembling and crocheting afghans for chemo patients. Currently I have 3 cats, the newest being a kitten that was found out in backyard in July. My daughter contacted the local vet (1/2 a block away) but nobody seems to be missing him as there have been no flyers or notices of a missing male kitten. ***Can we keep him, PLEEEEASE.***

1.  Started at 150, went down to 120, gained back over the summer to 135, going to get down to either a lean 120 or 110, but I'll have to wait and see when I get there.

2.  I've been here for over a year and have lots of calorie counts memorised.

3.  I once looked at 253 pages of lolcats because I was bored.  That, and caturday is my favorite day of the week!

4. I just recently lost my cat of 16 years, he was my first pet and I really can't remember life without him seeing as how I was just 4 when we got him.  I'm away at college now and cats aren't allowed and both parents work, so now isn't the best time to get a new cat, so I look at pictures of other people's cats and live vicariously through them.

Everything about my weight history and history with CC is in my profile, so click and read.  My cat, Bubba, is 16 years old and in excellent health.  He's a dignified gentleman most of the time but does have his catnip moments.

I joined this group because sometimes you just have to laugh.  I often print and enlarge lolcats to give to friends who are down in the dumps.

1. History with weight loss: I have tried fad diets and come to the conclusion they don't work and only Calorie counting will and it will be a lifestyle change. This is my second time trying to eat healthy by watching Calories but for some reason I just wasn't ready to do it the other time. Now I feel ready to take on the challenge. I have never felt this way before.. too bad it couldn't have happened before my wedding but its as they say.. better late than never? *laughing*

2. History with Calorie Count: Just joined up about a month ago and am down   9 lbs! I also am in a challenge with work called "Get Fit" that runs for twelve weeks. I found this site the same week and I attribute it so far to getting me where I am in the competition. So far I am the winner. Its based on percentage lost! ^^"

3. Reason for joining this group: i spk lolcat veri wel. de iz mi favoritz *lollersauce* i 2 hv once gone thru mani lolcatz pages.. i cn haz mor lolcatz?!

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests.. I have a very supportive loving husband. We are recently married in July 2008 but we have been together for 9 years. High school sweethearts! We recently bought a foreclosed fixer upper that is requiring much of our time  but we are loving living on our own without roommates!! We have two adorable lolcats, Hermas a big orange fluffy tabby and Micro a not so micro-sized anymore tuxedo. My interests include lounging around the house while telling my cats to use their inside voices... no but seriously I like getting up and moving around. I am a wiggler. Cool like right now.. my leg is wiggling!  Make it stops!!! At least I hear rumor of it burning more Calories in a day.. too bad I don't know how to count "wiggles" on this site.

A friend I met on FarmTown in FaceBook hooked me up with this website Saturday so I don't have much history on it.

1. History with weight loss: Child of 2 overweight parents. Am what they affectionately call morbidly obese (such an uplifting term) at 370 lbs now. Severe asthma started at age 5 but got bad when I hit puberty and that is when they started the steroids. Yo Yo dieted trying to loose the weight after an attack and would just get rid of most of it and another asthma attack would hit and back up the scales I'd go. I remember once in August we had all my new clothes ready for school in the fall and I had a bad attack. By the time I got out of the hospital I was up 40 lbs. None of my nice new clothes fit and well you know how that feels. More of the story on my profile.

2. History with Calorie Count: Just started here Caterday and have been doing well with the journaling but really like the activity tracker the most.

3. Reason for joining this group: Ei luvs LOLCats and have also spent much time going thru the pics. I even have them on my Twitter (AMGraphix is my name there)

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I'm 48, single and I work for myself in my home office doing print and website design. In 2004 I lost both my parents (my brother having passed 25 yrs prior to that), had to sell their home, bought a home, moved and the Sept prior had lost my job. If you look on those stress charts I nailed nearly all of the top 5 stressors. I lost about 75 lbs while all that was going on but after things quieted down again I found myself alone with my pet Apollo (chinchilla) and severely depressed. Food being a consistant comfort drug of choice. I put back on the 75 lbs and mobility got hard with knee pain etc. In June I had to make the hard desision to free Apollo as he had gotten very ill. I'm working thru the pain of loosing my companion and am back to the gym and on the road to getting healthy again.

I look forward to sharing lots of laughs here on CC while working my way on my journey :)
