I guess I'll start.

1. History with weight loss:  It's all in my bio, but basically I was always super skinny, then I gained weight when I went on daily anti-migraine meds.  I lost weight when I stopped taking medication, but I became pregnant soon after.  I was able to get down to my goal weight (thanks to CC), and then I got pregnant again.  LOL!

2. History with Calorie Count:  I signed up for CC 2 years ago after having my first baby.  I was able to lose 28 pounds and get to my goal weight, and I'm hoping to get back to goal after my next baby is born.

3. Reason for joining this group:  My husband works for the Houston Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  I have a degree in geology and have worked as a geological technician in the past, but I'm now a stay at home mom of one son, and soon to be daughter.  We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and my family and pets keep me pretty busy!

Hi - this is a pretty cool idea for a group- thanks cecilyb!!

My history of weight loss is also in my bio I joined CC in aug 06 and haven't been very good at losing weight but I love the community.

I am married to a Firefighter paramedic and we will celebrat 24 yrs anniversary on sept 1st.  My husband is currently the fire science director for the local comm college and only works part time for a fire dept and ambulance company.  I used to dispatch for the fire dept he worked at while we l ived in Tucson.

I find it hard now to stay on track with my food while he is gone for the 24 hour shifts and I'm home alone.  Our girls are all grown now and live elsewhere.

I do have 2 dogs to keep me company.

I work doing medical billing.

Hi dbackerfan, welcome!  I knew I couldn't be the only one in this group. Smile  My husband is going to start teaching, too.  He's going to instruct part of the Texas A&M paramedic program that HFD is affiliated with.

Happy early anniversary! Kiss

I am a yo-yo between 150 to 130 trying to learn to maintain a healthy weight.

Working full time and two part time jobs, Dbackerfan! No rest for the wicked!!! LOL

I'm Louis, a fulltime police officer.I work-out about every day(weights, boxing, and cardio),and stick to a vegan diet(which I catch hell for at work). My weight had shot up to 193# about January of this year(from 156#)and I've been the proverbial "yo-yo" dieter for years. In March I decided to try the vegan diet.My weight is now at 156#,though a few months ago I was as low as 143#(too much pasta and  potatoes!).I think I feel and look best at 148# so thats my goal weight.I am trying to cut down on the portion sizes of what I've been eating, and think this will work.Good luck to all,and I hope you reach your goals.

Hey y'all, I'm Sarah. I work as an EMT in California, and my husband is a firefighter in our hometown. Both my husband and I have been steadily gaining weight for the past two years, and I am ready to lose this weight and get healthy. I'm looking to lose 40-50 overall. I want to feel better, look better and do my job better. Good luck to all of us!

Hey everyone, Im Diane and Im from Haverhill MA.

I've never really had to lose weight before (I was a happy 145-155), but since the birth of my second son I have been stuck at about 180.

I've been with CC for only 2 weeks and am just finally getting control of my eating and counting calories and all of that good stuff.

Im the wife of an EMT as well as an aspiring police officer (test scores come back in August, my fingers are crossed!!!) My husband works a god awful 110 hours/week while I stay home with our kids a take care of the domestic side of things.

I really want to lose the weight before I get hired by a department so that I can go into the academy in good shape. I spent 8 years in the Army and have a good physical background, I just realy need to get motivated now and can use all the help I can get!

Hi everyone! I just joined Calorie Counter and am ready to meet some people. Let me tell you about myself.

I am 30 years old and am married to firefighter. We have 14 month old twins. They are very active now and are so amazing. I am active in my church and teach Special Education students at an elementary school.

I have always been somewhat overweight. I think that I have always worn plus-size clothing! I am ready to be smaller and healthier! I need motivation and I feel like this site would be a good place to get that. My motivation has rubbed off on my hubby who now wants to lose weight, too!

I would love to meet some people who have similiar needs or lifestyles as me.
