Hello everyone!!! I have finally decided to join a group after about two months of being on the cc website. At first I was sort of browsing at all that cc had to offer but within the last month I have been counting calories and exercising ferociously!

I was about 125 pounds before I got pregnant last year, and during my pregnancy I was up to 185 pounds! Now my daughter is almost 6 months old and I weigh about 157. I am a stay at home mom and I do on-line college classes. I really want to lose this weight so that I can be the best, most energetic and fun-loving mother as possible.  I have joined this group to get support from others who have the same desires and motivation as I do!

I wish everyone the best of luck and I am looking forward to the weigh-ins!!!

Hi I'm Nicole from Australia I'm 5 ft 6 inch Wink- Up until I had my 2 children I was always around 140 pounds.  My second child really put the weight on and didn't lose it for years.  When she turned 5 I thought, can't use the just had a child excuse anymore, I really need to do something.   Have been loosing weight since then (1 year).

Got down to my goal weight 145 pound.  But back to studying and have been putting it on again slowly - feeling all jiggly again Cryand back to 161 pounds.  Need to loose it and keep it off.

I'm a teacher (maths) and love to renovate homes, cook (my curse) and do millions of family things.  I'm really hoping that this group keeps me motivated to keep going and get it back off by January so I can then keep it off.

I'm Cathey - I have struggled with my weight since I graduated high school in 1996.  12 years later, I have a WONDERFUL husband and three beautiful boys....but after Son #3's birth in February 2008, I found myself weighing almost 240 lbs.  Per my usual, I filled myself with excuses and too much food, well...I'm nursing - I can't diet!

On May 19, 2008 I decided that would all change.  I started a program called Body for Life, and started out weighing 204 (I had lost some weight since the birth), and wearing a size 20 - this was really the eye-opener for me!  Now...almost 5 months later, I weigh in at 168, and can fit into a snug size 10.  What progress!!  And...the best part is that I am still nursing!  I am 33 pounds from my goal of 135....and this site has been great in tracking my progress :)

I look forward to continuing this journey...per the site, I should be there in January 2009.  BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!!!!

1. History with weight loss: I was always a little chubby as a kid, and although I thinned out in my teens, I was always just a little heavy.  I lost alot of weight when I studied abroad in college (Mexico), but since I never weighed myself, I don't know what I weighed at my thinnest.  I gained most of my weight during my first year of marriage.  We lived in a snowy town with lots of family that like to eat alot!  When I started my weight loss in March of '08, I weighed 170.  I had been diagnosed with PCOS and that really scared me.  With my doctor's help, I am down to 144 now, and my goal weight is 120.  (I am 5'2" with a small frame).  I want to have kids someday, and if I don't lose the weight now, my chances of conceiving are reduced even more.  Besides that, I just want to be healthy and proud of myself.

2. History with Calorie Count: I have used caloriecount.com to help track my calories since March, but I only realized today that I could create an account and do all this cool stuff.  I've been working off a spreadsheet I made previous to this.

3. Reason for joining this group: I will really need some extra motivation and support for my last 24 pounds.  I really want to get this off by the end of December, when we visit family.  If I continue at 2 lbs loss per week, I can make it.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I am 24, and I have the most amazing husband in the world.  We have been married for 3 years, and he has been so supportive.  He's even counting his calories too, and going right along with me.  We have two cats; Michaelangelo and Casey Jones.  I work in Human Resources at a local community college, but will go back for my Master's degree in a couple of years, once I figure out what I want to do.

Hello everyone! I am back!! (twilight music) Tongue out

1. History with weight loss: I went from 185 to 139 on the Alli program a year ago. I have lost track of what I was suppose to be doing. I m now 150 and need to get back on track!

2. History with Calorie Count: I use it to make sure I am doing great and knowing I have to log, helps me do and eat whats right.

3. Reason for joining this group: I want to reach my goal of 125 by Jan 09!

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I am married to a wonderful man, have one daughter who is 3. We have 3 dogs, 2 APBT's and 1 chihuahua. I volunteer my time with the local rescue, fostering dogs who need homes! I am a vegetarian who loves her veggies!Laughing

1. I'm only 19, but after gaining 20 pounds over the last 6 months to a year, I knew that I had to re-evaluate what I was doing. I'm currently mildly overweight, and I'm doing this to establish good habits for the rest of my life.

2. Totally stumbled across this site when I was looking up the calories in some of the foods I was eating.

3. I needed help knowing how many calories I was actually consuming a day and how much I was burning,

4. Well, I used to be on a powerlifting team. I played 3 musical instruments in school. I'm currently in college, so that's pretty much my job. I have 2 brothers, one is 17 and the other is 3! My favorite forms of working out is lifting and swimming.

Hey, All!

New to this site/group. I am eager to get started and have a support group during the process. It's so much more fun than going it alone! :)

I am 39 years old, a Mom of two (10 and 11 yrs old) and am feeling rotten about my physical state. I am 5'8" tall and currently weigh 155 lbs. I have a history of being very active and was at my most fit between the ages of 31 and 37 when I weighed 133 pounds and 14% bodyfat. I used to run everyday and play on a racquetball league and lifted, lifted, lifted!! I was a total gym rat and loved it! Blah, Blah, Blah...started getting injury after injury which was upsetting to me and difficult to overcome and then was offered a job as general manager of local fitness and sports training center. I jumped at that opportunity, but found out it's VERY hard to work out at the gym you work in cuz everyone learns who you are and wants to visit and ask questions! I started struggling to get workouts in and a few other events happened and I have found myself completely sedentary for the last year for sure, and pretty sparadic for the year prior to that. Think I just burned out...nonetheless, I am getting married in St. Lucia this April and genuinely need to get to the bottom of why I have allowed my priorities to change so much! I really thought fitness would always be my thing! Also a complete nutrition freak in those days. So it's not that I don't know what or how to do it, just apparently lacking the motivation or the ability to be consistent. Each time I start and stop, it takes me longer to start again...

I just started a new job, one that is less stressful and demanding. I am a site coordinator at a local elementary school for the afterschool program and it is a completely new program for this school. So once the initial kinks are worked out of the program, I think it will be a great time.

I am hoping that being a part of this group with all of you wonderful people will help me "straighten up"!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and best of luck to each of you in your own personal endeavors!

Hi im sarah,29,divorced and mother to a lovely four year old daughter.

Have tried diets on and off for years, weight tends to fluctuate but never got back to my pre pregnancy weight of 140 pounds.

Came across cc purely by chance and love the way you can use the cc and the support groups.

I am getting back into exercising at home using exercise videos etc.Good luck everyone :)

Hello Forum!

I'm Jaclyn, 40 years old and divorced. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by New Year's. I believe I can meet this goal with the help of CC. I plan to stay motivated counting calories while watching what I eat and tracking my daily workouts.

My issue is I'm very good to my body until I reach my goal. It's after I reach my goal that I become very comfortable with my weight and tend to gain it back. To maintain weight is soooooo hard for me. So, throughout the years I have become a yo-yo dieter playing with 10-15 lbs.

CC was first introduced to me at the office in '07. It certainly has helped me get a grip on how many calories I'm consumming. I might not use CC everyday; as now I can add up the total daily calories in my head.  However, this is my first forum invite and I enjoy knowing that I'm not the only one...

The number one activity in life that's helped me control weight is walking. Love to walk!

Good Luck 2 everyone in achieving goals!

Hi everyone! My name is Jordan and I'm 17 years old. Once I got into high school I took on more and more health imroving habits but I would like to be in the best shape of my life thus far with this program. I began wrestling last year and want to go out with a bang this year. I really hope this program helps as I have been jogging for weeks extra after tennis to little avail... Five pounds over a few months is good but I need it to come off a little quicker But anyway I hope to support you guys and hope that you all will support me!

I'm starting off at 132 and hoping to reach 119 by sometime in mid january next year. I understand set backs will occur but I will be strong! Though my weight seems light to others I am 5'4 and small-medium, I would love to be fit enough to do well in the toughest sport I've ever done: wrestling!

Good luck everyone and I can't wait to celebrate with you all

Hi everyone! I just joined the group!

I have been a member of CC for awhile but have fallen off the wagon!! I have a 2 year old son and last year using CC I was able to get myself in great shape at 117 lbs with a goal of 112. I am 5'4, I know 112 sounds low but everyone carries weight differently.

I have a typical story, went back to work, busy mom, put my health and fitness on the back-burner and here I am at 132lbs and flabby. I am so ready to get back in shape. Back to the gym tomorrow for the first time in months!

My goal by January is 120, that gives me 7 weeks to lose 12 lb's approx 1.7 lbs a week. I know if I set my mind to it I can do it. Here we go!

Hi

I starting using CC last year and lost 9 lbs by June if 2007 but this fall suddenly I realized I had gained almost all of it back.. i was so discouraged.

I am 50 years old 5' 5" and weigh 167 lbs.  I joined a gym and have been going 3 times a week.  My goal is to weigh 155 by January 1 for now.  I'd like to get to 130 by June 1st.

I sit all day working in technology.  I have a wonderful French partner.. he lives to eat! and 3 awesome cats. I have 2 amazing kids both in college -- my youngest just went off and so i have never been more motivated.  So many years now i've wanted to get back my dancer's shape-- dance is a passion of mine.  It's time for me now!!  This is it.

Hi everyone! I'm Katie. I'm a 24 year old Mom with a 3 year old daughter. I've been trying to keep on track but fell off the wagon this past year. I weight myself in today at 156 lbs. I'm 5'3". My goal weight is 130 lbs.

1) I haven't does any other weight loss before. I didn't really have a probelm with weight before until now.

2) I've used Calorie Counter in the past... And it worked! Now I'm back and I'm going to log in EVERYDAY!

3) The reason I joined this group... I would love to lose my weight before January if possible!
