Hi, I'm Nikita.  I'm a 24 yrold wife and mom of a five yrold daughter.  I've never had a problem with my weight until my pregnancy with my daughter.  I gained 70 lbs from that!  It took me two years to get back down to my 115 lbs.  When I met my husband in 2005, I wanted to gain a little more weight and I did.  I gained 5lbs and loved it.  In May of 2007 I suffered a miscarriage.  With that loss I was really depressed, so on top of the weight that I gained from being preggars, I gained some from loosing the baby as well.  So now I'm at 152 and am ready to shed this weight!  My goal is to loose 32 lbs by the end of March 09.  I feel that I can do it with lots of support.  I have it from my daughter but my hubby could care less.  I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired of living in a body that I'm not 100% comfortable with.

I support all of you fully on your goals of loosing weight, mainting weight or whatever you are on this site for.  I believe that everyone needs support. Good luck and hope to here from you all soon.

Hi, I'm Whitney.  I am 19 and will be turning 20 on March 28! My ultimate goal is to lose 25-30 lbs by then.  I know I can do it! My fiancee will be returning home from Hawaii (he's in the army) and should be back anywhere between February & may...so I;m ready to not only do this for me but to do this for him. We've known eachother since junior high & before our son I weighed 125lbs. I would love to be at that weight again. But for now I'm going to set my first goal at being 140 by march. As of yesterday morning I weighed 165.6 :( BLAH!

I'm here & ready to feel GOOD again :)

Looking forward to this with all of you

Hi I'm barb turning fifty in march, so that'll be a good birthday present to lose about 12-15 pounds.

tried weight watchers last winter and liked the on line portion a lot, too expensive to keep it up. past march I got a pace maker and that's how I celebrated my 49th!!

never had any issues with my weight my entire life until last fall, started menopause and I am so far gone from 135 last november to now 150. haven't weighed this much since I was pregnant!

also, in March stopped going to the Y because I bought a horse. now it's too crappy out to ride and it's dark anyway when I get home so ,. . .  have now joined a gym and started eating salads

but this time I'm serious because my clothes don't fit right and there's a lot of things I can't zip.

but it will be too bad Frown to lose the nice chest I've gained!! LOL

Aloha :)

I'm Kristen, 19, and I live in South Australia! I work full time as a Receptionist, so my job doesn't allow for much movement during the day, as I'm literally tied to the phone. However, I do calisthenics a few nights a week (which is like gymnastics crossed with ballet) and try to go for walks as much as I can. My weight has always been average, I was never blessed with the 'stick-thin-super-metabolism' gene, and instead have ridiculuous amounts of muscle for a teenage girl. So when I put on a tiny bit of weight,  I lose all muscle definition and turn into a blob.

So now I'm trying to lose about 10kg, to get to a healthy (as recommended for my by this site) 54kg for my frame. (Currently 64)

My major weakness is beer... I can eat healthy for three weeks, then blow it all away with a night on the town. (sooooo many calories) :(

Any comments and support would be greatly appreciated!

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm 99% sure the girl in your picture is not you...

Hi!

My name is Afton.

I am 26 years old. I am a married homemaker with 4 kids.  I gained a TON of weight with all of my pregnancies. After my last and final baby I decided to finally do something about my weight gain. At my highest I was somewhere between 180-190. I found Calorie count and have tried to be religious about logging my food and counting calories ever since but sometimes I fall off the wagon, including recently. 6 weeks ago my youngest daughter was seriously injured and I actually gained back 5 pounds! That didn't help with the depression I was already dealing with after my daughter was hurt. So here I am. I am trying to take care of my daughter. I am trying to get my life back to normal. And I am trying to re-loose the 5 pounds I gained back and actually reach my ultimate goal weight!! I currently weigh 130 and want to weigh 115 by March 1st! Making friends on CC has always helped me a little bit so I'm hoping to make some!

Hello.

My name is Jennifer.

I'm 26 years old, had a daughter and haven't been able to lose a lot of weight since. I found this website a couple of months ago when messing around on the internet. I want to lose weight bad!!!! I'm in school for teaching high school, I work full time, I'm a full time mommy, and my schedule is insane, so finding time to go to the gym is hard, but I enjoy exercising. Just need motivation!

Hello!

My name is Wendy.  I just signed up today because like everyone else I am eager to lose weight - especially with the new year!  I am currently 138 and want to be 128.  I am not considered overweight but I am uncomfortable at my current weight. I work at a hotel and food is around me all day, it is really an addiction.

I recently gained 5 lbs with my boyfriend around, men can really eat so it's rough on me not to! I joined this group because you have the same goal as me and looking for support.  I work out lightly.....20 minutes cardio....if I'm lucky 3 times a week:)

Wendy I hear ya!

Hi, I'm Franci.. Here to lose 10lbs and get helpful hints from my new friends. It's cold outside and I'll be honest I hate to workout but I'm going to give this a try. I live in MA close to the ocean so I guess I have a goal. Get out of the tankini and back into a bikini

I'm weighing in at 136 and want to lose 10. I joined CC to get motivated and meet people with the same problems as I.

I also used to work at a hotel and your right. Food, food, food. and it was good too. but now it's time to get the sneakers on and do something. I've found a work out CD on some late night commerical it's called Turbo Jam. This week is my first week of getting down with it and also counting the calories that I consume. I'm trying to stay within the 1200 range. I like to track my results on CC and I really think I can do it this time. It's not that I'm lazy I just hate to work out.

I also found a nice menu for the week from a magazine called the Abs Diet for Women. It also has excersises that are nice and easy to do.

Good luck :)

Thanks Franci!

Good luck to you!  I have heard great things about the Turbo Jam and I bet it will work if you stick to it!  I am trying to stay in the 1200 calorie range as well....and HATE to work out.

For the past week and a half I have gone to the grocery store at lunch and I pick up raw fruits and veggies.  I keep them at my desk and eat them ALL day, it has really helped so far.  I am not big on fruits/veggies but it gives me something to do and I get stuffed.  however, when i go home to the "ol man" thats when i overeat dangit!

My boss joined weight watchers and i saw it was simular to cc, so i decided to try and keep track of myself here.  Well, its Friday, so I'm off to destroy all my hard work...haha! I love happy hour and I always ruin it on the weekend!

Good Luck!  Lets get this weight off by March!  I live in TX so we have out the bikinis then! urgh.....Foot in mouth

Hi all!! Im Kelly and just joined CC this week... Ive been doing pretty good and only cheating once with a licorice... Lol... Im getting married on March 7th, and like you Wendy and Franci, I dont have a ton of weight that Im looking to lose... I just want to be down a size or two to where I use to be... before I met my overeating fiance!! Hahaha...

Franci, I have the Turbo Jam and really enjoy it... while the chick (cant think of her name) that came up with it can be oober peppy and annoying it really does work! I also try to walk my dogs everyday (since I live in AZ, you have to drive 2 1/2 hours to Flagstaff to walk in snow) and Ive been drinking A LOT of water... which of course leads to a lot of bathroom breaks, which can get annoying!! Smile

Good luck to you all on your journey to being healthier (and looking good in a bikini)!!

Hi All!  I realize I posted in the weigh in, but haven't introduced myself.

I have a yoyo history of weight loss/gain.  My answer to weight gain was always abstain from food in high school, and after college I ate so little I lost 20 lbs in 3 months with no exercise.  Now I've put it all back and more.

So...now I work out and go snowboarding, but I am still putting on weight from all the wine and eating out, matching my boyfriend pizza slice by pizza slice.  I don't fit into my size 2 clothes in the closet because I'm now a size 8, but i refuse to buy new clothes!  I just won't do it.

Now backed into a corner, wearing the same clothes every day, with buttons popping open at every turn, I've reached my breaking point.  I started my diet Jan. 5th and am so serious about it that i'm giving up my numb happy friend alcohol :)

I'm glad to see there are many people joining with similiar goals (I imagine I have 10-15 lbs to lose since any more would be muscle loss).  I'll be posting regularly in the weigh in sections on Monday, hopefully reporting good news :)

Hi Afton,

It sounds like you've done really well on your weight goals so far, and I'm sorry to hear that your daughter was hurt so badly.  How are you faring post holidays?

Wendy

Happy Hour? just dont eat anything all day  and you'll be able to have that cocktail or 2 and some apps.

I cheated last night but was still in my range. trying to enjoy some v8 juice and celery. Smile

Have a great weekend and enjoy your weather because were getting a snowstorm on Sat. Frown

Hey Kelly

Good luck on your journey as well and on your upcoming wedding. Lots of water and juices like V8 are very filling. I'm drinking some now as I write and I'm eating some celery. I do enjoy turbo jam and some others on Fit TV.

I have to do this, not only for myself but my hubby who is 11 years younger than I.

Here's to losing those stubborn inches!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend

Franci

Hi Franci :)

I dont like tomatoes that much (except for Ketchup Lol) so V8 isnt my style, but I do eat celery, carrots or cauliflower everyday and I also enjoy an apple at lunch too!! Its nice to have a site where you can talk to people that are going thru the same problems!!

Laughing

I'm enjoying this as well. I'll be in AZ in Feb. My husband and I are going to the air museum in Tucson. Can't wait to get away from all this cold and snow.

F~

Tucson is the last place I would want to go... Lol... I have to go there in May for my Brothers Graduation from U of A Med School. I cant stand Tucson, but it would be better than cold and snow I guess Haha!!

~Kelly

thats ok. i do it for my husband and it makes him happy. Laughing
