hey wendy

thought I'd check in and see how the first week went and your weekend. I cheated 2 times and I'm not that happy with that.  i decided not to weigh myself until the weekend it's just to depressing.

Well, time to workout.

haha!  boy did I cheat this weekend.....wow! I had drinks, drinks and more drinks.   I have been doing really good today so I "might" get on the scale tonight at the gym.  My boyfriend and I have committed to eating more healthy food, but we are not changing the portions right now.

I just found out my local rec center offers all these cool classes and I think I am going to join a spinning class or something.   How's it going for you today Franci?

Hi everyone.  I'm Lauren - I am 21 and I just joined today.

1. My history with weight loss is crazy.  The difference between the highest and lowest I have ever been is 50 pounds.  I am now 10 pounds above my lowest weight.  and it yo-yo's all the time.

2. I have no history with calorie count and I just found it online by chance.

3. I have had an eating disorder since I was 13 and have been in recovery for the past two years - I have unhealthy eating habits which is why my weight is always jumping all over the place.  I'm hoping through this site I'll be able to be more healthy and lose and maintain a weight that is healthy for me rather than being all over the scale.

4.  I am a senior in college and a criminal justice and psychology major.  I graduate in May and I have no idea what I want to do after I graduate!

Hi I'm Haylee.

1. History with weight loss: Well I have never had a problem with my weight until I went onto birth control and gained 50 pounds in about 2 years. In highschool I could eat anything and everything and not gain a pound, and that lasted until I was about 22.

2. History with Calorie Count: Just started in June of 2008.  My cousin was using the website and sent it to me after we had a family gathering and I saw that she had lost mostly all her weight.

3. Reason for joining this group: Need to lose weight to feel like my self again...haven't for a couple of years now.

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.  I work for the Legislative Assembly, have two dogs (riot - husky and oreo - border collie shepard) and really love to work out, which I just found out when I started to be active again.

Hi jonjay.  Thanks for the info, but unfortunately if I ever make it to San Fransisco again, I wouldn't be able to bring my dogs as I live very far away.  Calorie count is really working for me as well, I just have to get past the weekends...they always kill me.  My birthday is this weekend as well, so I might have to go over my limit with some much needed wine...

Hi!  I'm Kate...setting my first goal small.  I want to be 145lbs by mid March, so that means losing about 8lbs.  Once I have reached that goal I'll set another to drop a dress size.  I am in at least 3 weddings this year and all the bridesmaid dresses are in satin and show all the nasty bumps.

I have revved up my workouts - spin class twice a week, dance and yoga once a week and weights twice a week.  I have also dropped the pasta and rice from my diet.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi my name is Allie. I'm 22 and fairly moderate on the scale of diet necessity. In other words, I'm not crazy big for my frame, actually pretty average...but i find the terms 'squishy' and 'plush' can be used to describe me. I just want to look and feel good! My history in weight loss I'm sure is pretty typical - up and down. I'll get really fitness oriented, drop 10lb., then give up and gain 12. I've been hovering around the 145 mark for 2 years, and would really like to hover around the 130 - 135 mark. I'm a history student in Washington state, and have the lavish privilege of using my university's recreation center 7 days a week (doesn't mean I do). I'd really like to stay focused on losing the weight and staying healthy.

Any suggestions, tips, advice, etc. would be lovely. Thanks!

hey wendy

i've stopped counting the calories but now more aware of what i put in my mouth. still doing some workout tapes each day and just got my treadmill back in the house from the garage so i'm doing 30 minutes a day. my girlfriend says an hour but i can't just yet.

hubby says it looks like i'm losing some inches. i havn't measured yet. i figured at the 30 day point i'll do it.

keep in touch I like to hear your progress.

franci  :)

I have actually been on Calorie Count for awhile now. I just stopped for a while. That was until I went shopping yesterday. The weight isn't so bad. I weigh 126 lbs. It's the fact that I have ballooned to the point where I look like I'm turning into an apple. I actually look about 6 months pregnant.

I'm a 32 year old mother of 3. I was always thin until my last baby arrived. Now I need to slim down drastically.

Hi, I'm not new here either, I joined around last year this time, but I seem to need the site about once a year, just before the spring starts to remind me that summer is only a few weeks away! (And bathing suit season - d-uh!)

So here I am again; trying to unload the yearly winter 5.  It seems that I can't keep from gaining those extra 5 lbs in the winter.  So, I need to get them off.  This year it was actually a little more than 5!!!!  Must be change of life.  Yuck.

My goal is 118 as I am only 5'1'' and that has always been the weight I am most comfortable with.  When I started back here a few weeks ago I had hit 125 at one point, and I was shocked to the point that I thought there was something wrong with my scale!  Granted I had stopped excersising too as my gym membership had expired and I was looking for a new gym.  (For a few months...)

Now I am back in the groove, and with the help of this site I am down to 122.5 today (4 1/2 lbs to go!), which should be gone by the end of the month.  I am also at a new gym, and have started taking yoga about a month ago, which I am enjoying a lot!

That's all for now, folks.  Good luck to one and all in acheiving your goals this month!
