Welcome! Since this is a movie group and not a weightloss group, the standard salutation need not apply. Jump right in with opinions, suggestions, start discussions of any and all things related to film, any and all genres - within CC's guidelines, of course. 
Just please remember, if you are giving away plot, preface posts with the phrase 'spoiler alert'. Some of us are just now building our queues.

I must say that I enjoy going to the movies and it is probably because my first job was working at a concession stand in my small hometown theater before there were multiplexes! Most nights no customers were there, so I just stood at the entrance to the theater and watched the movie while keeping an eye on the candy counter. I saw many, many movies; mostly G, PG and family films. That was mid 70's.
Now, I pick and choose what I see at the theater, leaning toward action, sci-fi, good ole' fashioned monster movie (I love Vampires!), comic book movies. SFX can not be replicated on the small screen and are a must see on the big screen. I never rule out any movie, but I can live without the chick flicks, tear jerkers, mindless comedies, horror/slash moves: I might catch those some time on the small screen at a later date.
There are always some that are must see!
