And now just go ahead and make that first post!
Hi Everyone. I'm 38, 5- 2 1/2" HW 131, CW 121, LW 113. I have been on CC for just over a year. A group of woman at work started a WL pool and the goal was 15 lbs in 12 wks. We started it so that we would finish Dec 31 to avoid the holiday binging. We figured that if we were well into a WL program before the holiday season wee would be in a better situation to handle the extra eating. Well, I came within a 1/2 lb on Dec. 31, but a week later I hit my target. Unfortunately, I gained most of it back 10 mos. later. Now I am back on CC, working out 6 days a week and hoping that I can figure out how to lose the weight again, and KEEP it off.
I am so motivated to hear stories of shorties like me, who understand how much of an impact 1 lb can have on a petite frame. Thanks for starting this group!
Hi everyone! I'm 22, between 5'2'' and 5'3'' (it seems to change every time I go to the doctor, haha). I'm really glad to have found this group--like a lot of other people, I have struggled with my weight for a long time and find it discouraging that a gain of a few pounds is so noticeable because I'm so short! I'm glad to have found a group that will understand that although my goal weight is pretty low, it's appropriate for someone my height.
I have ended up at my highest weights when I've allowed the eating habits of the people around me (family, friends, boyfriend) to determine the way that I eat instead of thinking about how much a person of my size frame should be eating. So both in college and in high school when I was friends with people who didn't care about their weight, I got up to my highest weight, which was around 140 pounds. Luckily, I have lost a lot of this weight, although admittedly not in the healthiest way (disordered eating, but not to the point of an ED). I moved to France two months ago and the combination of stress/not having a kitchen for a number of weeks/French sweets caused me to put on a few pounds. I joined Calorie Count for the second time last week after a particularly bad election night binge, and I want to use it to get to the goal weight that has eluded me for years (I've always gotten within a pound or two of where I wanted to be, but never all the way). I also want to eat healthier than I have in the past. I haven't had any soda in over two weeks (I used to be a Diet Coke ADDICT), have cut down on my caffeine intake in general, and am trying to become as vegetarian as I can be (i.e., most of the time beans/tofu--knowing that some days I will just need a piece of fish or some bbq!).
Starting weight: 121 (maybe even up to 123, but I think that was just a day of water retention weight)
Current weight: 117.25
Goal weight: 109-112, I always have a range of about three pounds, and I don't really care where I am on that range as long as it stays consistent from week to week. I would like to be 112 by Christmas.
Details...hmm. Again, I'm 22, I graduated from college in May, and I'm living in France for the year teaching English to high school students. I'm learning how to cook (and loving it so far!); I spend most of my non-work time reading, window-shopping (France is so expensive!), and listening to music.
Again, really looking forward to being a part of this group and hearing everyone's story!
1. History with weight loss: I don't really have any history there. However, I have an extensive history with weight GAIN! I have been steadily gaining weight since I was about 13 or 14. I'm 20 now and I weigh in at a whopping 192 lbs!
2. History with Calorie Count: I've had this account for about two years now, but was never really actively involved with it. I check in every few months or so and put in my new weight and watch the graph grow higher and higher.
3. Reason for Joining this group: Looking for someone to talk to about weight loss. By some strange twist of fate, all of the friends I've landed with are all naturally thin and don't have to do ANYTHING at all to maintain, so none of them really understand where I'm coming from. Also, I'm short! (5'2")
Let's see.... I'm a 20 year old college student in their third year. I'm an English major...(total book nerd).....
So if anyone needs an on-line buddy, ask me, because that is why I'm here!
Hi =]
im oona. Im 17 years old. Just about all my life i have been a very chunky girl. After working out and deiting for over a year i have lost about 40 pounds. I am about 5'3 (with a small frame)and weight about 112. I was 107 about a month ago but started eating anything and everything i wanted and gained 5 pounds , which went straght to my thighs and lower stomach. I would like to be about 105-102 that way my clothes will fit a little less tightin the areas i need it and i will be less selfconscious about my body .
I workout just about everyday for 1-2 hours. lately i havent really been working out becuase i am to tired from all the junk food i ate that day. i have been trying hard to kick that junk food habit and lose 7 - 10 pounds but everytime i lose about 2 pounds i regain it again by slipping up. I am also a vegetarian but would like to go vegan for my health .
I joined this group becasue i thought i could get a little motivation to lose weight and meet some new people who know exactly what im dealing with.
Hi all! new here! 5ft0 CW 102 GW 92
1. History with weight loss:I haven't really been on a diet before. Just ate what i wanted. Since I got to college, there has been a lot of free food such as pizza. Sometimes I just eat till I am bloated without thinking much at all (example: 3 slices of pizza, full plates of thai food) just wanted to go back how much i weight a year ago
2. History with Calorie Count: Pretty new to it. Getting myself to log things reminds me not to eat unnecessary junk food and think about how much saturated fat is in that. Last few days ,I ate only average of 800 cal a day. I just realized that is way to few, so my new food count goal is 1200(+- 50) cal a day. But to get there, I am going to increase my intake by 100 cal a day, and continue to do some exercise, letting my metabolism rise. I set my activity level to sedentary and adding all the exercise i get ( such as walking to class, jogging etc. so I don't have to worry about double dipping)
3. Reason for joining this group: Height is 1 dimension, while weight is more like a combination of height, width, and length (3 dimensions). Most of the calculations for BMI treats it as if it is only 1 or 2 dimensions, which mean it will underestimate our BMI and over estimate tall people's BMI. It is good to have people who understand being small and understand that you can be healthy and still weight 2 digit numbers.
4. Some interesting details about yourself,
such as
your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I am a freshman in college, studying electrical engineering and computer science. I might double major in management. You can call me a nerd XP
Hello! I am new to
the group. I am what you would call a
closet dieter
. I disguise my changes in
diet as other things. I tell people (and
sometimes even myself) that I need to eat more healthfully because I have had
stomach issues, or I am lacking in energy, or that I have been having trouble
sleeping, or that I have chronic headaches, etc. You name a reason (other than losing weight) I
have probably come up with it. I think I
do this so that no one thinks badly of me when I fail. If I go back to old patterns, I can just say
how much the “change in diet” helped and tell everyone the situation has
remedied itself and I can eat what I want again. Lame, I know, but I think it is my way of
protecting my self from the shame when the weight doesn’t come off or I fail at
the diet
.
I may be a very short (4’11.5”) gal but I date a very tall
(6’3”) guy who loves to eat (and boy, can he EAT)! He loves my cooking which is usually full of
bacon and cheese (who wouldn’t love that stuff, right?). We currently have a long distance relationship
and I can do really well with my diet during the week when I don’t see him but when we are
together during the weekends … I have a real hard time staying away from the
forbidden foods that are exploding with calories. Plus, I am much less active when he is here
because I don’t workout! This is
difficult for me and I have asked for his support because of health reasons
(both factual ailments and fictional diet disguises) but he doesn’t do a good
job of being supportive. His idea of
being supportive is grabbing a bacon cheeseburger for himself; while I go home
and make myself a salad with lemon on it. Now, I don’t know if any of you have tried to
eat a salad with lemon while someone next to you is munching down a bacon
cheeseburger … but well … it doesn’t work well. Then, he says … "just get a burger if you
want one, you should eat one if you want one"
. This is how almost every meal goes and I
get frustrated and usually cave in and eat something I regret later
.
I am looking forward to forging friendships with everyone in
this group! Thank you for reading my
bio
!
1. History with weight loss:
I have a long history with weight loss methods and a short history with actually losing weight. The only time I can remember actually losing the weight was when Phen-fen was still around … and boy that worked effortlessly and effectively. But, alas, the miracle drugs did not turn out to be so miraculous for some.
I have tried many different diets: Slimfast, diet pills (you name them … I have tried them), Eat for Your Body Type, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, TOPS … and the list can go on and on and on … but I am sure you get the idea.
2. History with Calorie Count:
A friend told me that her husband used this site when he had to keep his diet under control because of recent complications with his pace maker. His doctor told him that he needed to keep a food journal and suggested he do it online if he wasn’t able to write it down in a diary. She said that he was amazed at how easy he found it to keep track of his nutritional goals, fat intake, cholesterol, etc. So, I thought I would check it out. I am brand new to CC as of November 10th and so far this has been an easy site to track activity, food, weight and nutrition.
I like this site because it isn’t about completely changing your lifestyle, it is about eating less calories. I don’t have to stand out in front of others if I slip up and eat friend chicken and mashed potatoes, I course correct and eat much lower calories at other meals. Fortunately for me, portions are not a huge problem. I can usually keep my portions under control so I can partake of the foods I want without over indulging. I love this about CC! When I finally start to notice any significant weight loss, I will hopefully be able to come out of the closet (the dieting closet) to my friends and family and not feel shameful for eating the same things they are eating! If I can do this and lose weight, I think it will give me the confidence to share my weight loss goals and plans with those that are around me!
3. Reason for joining this group:
I have never joined online support like this before, the only type of support I have ever gotten when dieting is the minimal support that I got by phone when I was doing Jenny Craig. I am usually reluctant to reach out to strangers (or anyone else for that matter) for support but I have had such an unsuccessful history with trying to lose weight that I figured I should use all the tools that are available to me … and talking with others in my same boat is really a good idea, especially with my history of being a closet dieter.
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:
First and foremost, I am the mother of a 17-year old daughter. My daughter is the love of my life! I find her fascinating and enjoy watching her cycle through the stages of identity development before my very eyes. I find motherhood rewarding and trying but wouldn't change any of it for the world. Secondly, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I feel extremely fortunate to have the loving people surround me everyday of my life. I love cultivating new relationships and nourishing the existing relationships in my life. Finally, in my spare time I read (I love John Grisham), go for walks, play with my 12-year old black lab, play video games and volunteer in my community.
I work with youth in three of my 4 jobs and parents in my other job. Currently, I work in a school environment 25 hours per week (which I love) in my role as a Student Assistance Professional and I manage a program for foster youth in transition and teach them independent living skills (18 hours per week). I also work (16 hours per week) with extremely high risk youth providing services to keep them in school, off of substances and out of the criminal justice system. Lastly, I do parenting workshops in the community aimed mostly at parents of teens. In addition to working, I volunteer in my community by sitting on the Board of Directors of 2 local prevention coalitions and serve as the proud chair person for the youth scholarship program in the local Exchange Club. As you can probably tell … I love kids and am fortunate enough to be surrounded by them in my everyday life!
Hello all, thought I'd introduce myself and say hi! I'm in the U.K and I'm 25. Decided to join as any moral support is great and you all seem like a friendly & helpful bunch. I don't really have a big, so to speak, history with weight loss. I used to dance and left when I joint uni. Over the 3 years I was at uni I put on over 2 1/2 stone which has stuck with me ever since.
At the beginning of this year I faced some challenging family problems, not to mention loosing my job. Being an "emotional" eater I began to notice I was getting even bigger which I did NOT like. So I decided to join Calorie count and make a positive change.
Being 5" 1' I'm on the small side height wise. When I talk about my weight I'm so sick of tall people saying "if you were taller you wouldn't be overweight" "oh it's only because you're so small!" etc etc yadda yadda YAWN!
Lots of people have suggested this diet or that diet but I've decided just to change my general lifestyle. Less bad foods and more exercise. Fingers crossed so far it seems to be working!
Hi everyone! Well, I've been on this site for years but this is officially my first post. I'm 29, 5'1.5" and currently weigh 129.5. My goal weight is 105.
I didn't have problems with my weight until after college when I began working in an office and my weight started creeping up. In college I weighed around 110 and at my highest weight this summer I was 134-ish. A few years ago I was really diligent about dieting and exercising, and went from 120 to about 100 in about 3 months. Friends kept telling me I'd lost too much, which made me self-conscious, so I stopped. That was a huge mistake. I gained it all back, and then some.
So here I am, at 129.5 working on slowly losing the weight until I reach my goal weight of 105 by my 30th birthday in April.
I'm joining this group to meet people with similar goals and so I can feel more accountable, since I tend to "fall off the bandwagon" if I slip up just once. Hopefully it will work! ![]()
Hello Everyone!! I'm 24 and 5'1 (but I like to consider myself to be 5'2"). My current weight is a devastating 134.
1. History with weight loss: When I was younger I had a battle with anorexia. I am not looking to become anorexic again, but I am looking to get into shape and shed all this unwanted weight. My current weight is 134, and my goal weight is 99 (I know that seems low, but given my body type that is the weight that I look best at).
2. History with Calorie Count: Although I've been a member for some time now, I've never logged on with any consistency. It's a love hate thing.
3. Reason for joining this group: I am looking for a some friends who share my same goals. If there is anyone out there who is looking for a buddy to keep motivated with please contact me.
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I'm a mortgage banker... I'm married (no kids)...I'm a dressage rider... AND I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT!! That about sums it up... quite boring, I know!
I really don't know how I let myself get to this point! HELP ME!!!
1. History with weight loss: My weight just got away from me. I am 32, 5'2ish and at my heaviest was 135. I joined Weight Watchers and really got serious. At my lowest I was 108 in July but my goal was 105 - I'm now 112 and need to do something so I don't put it all back on. I'm actually very surprised that I have gained because I really haven't been doing anything different. I'm calorie obsessed.
2. History with Calorie Count: I actually just started today -
3. Reason for joining this group: It's nice to see other people with same goals as me. Hopefully I can learn a thing or two.
4. Some interesting details about yourself,
such as
your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I'm a medical transcriptionist working from home. I live in Canada. I'm married - in July in Vegas after 10 years together. We have just one little guy.
Hullo! I'm 27, 5' 2" and 128lbs. I'd like to get down to 105 as per my doctor's instructions (help with my kidney disease.
I was on CC and got down to 112 quickly at the beginning of last year...then I changed jobs, moved, traveled, got really sick, etc...and just fell off the wagon. Now it's the end of the year and I miss being my normal size. I have a very active job so I tend to have a lot of muscle packed on my small frame (I'm a zookeeper so it's basically ranch/farm work outdoors all day everyday for me.)
Most of my friends are either naturally thin or are overweight and don't see that my weight is a lot for my small frame. To them, being so overweight and taller than me makes 130 pounds sound so small. But I'm carrying fat where I never did and having a hard time fitting in my clothes.
With my health issues I'm trying to break bad habits...don't often overeat but I eat a lot of junk because it's all over here at work. So I'm trying to stick to my doctor prescribed diet and lose weight on top of that
Yay, people around my height! I'm not alone.
I'm 20 and 5'2". Currently weighing about 110 pounds. At my heaviest (as far as I know 'cause i didn't have scales for a long time) I was about 130 pounds. I have felt just a little on the pudgy side ever since puberty hit. Now that I've lost weight I'm starting to feel a little better but it's hard to get out of that previous mindset and I haven't reached my goal weight yet (I'm thinking 104 pounds). I don't know how much I weighed in the later years of highschool but it was always over 120 (120 would be my weight on extra good days) and when I look back at the photos I definitely think I looked chubbier then and I don't ever want to go back to feeling like that. It didn't help that at the time most of closest friends were either naturally skinny or were tall and well proportioned.
These past couple of years I have felt really good about myself and have kept a positive mindset. When I started on my health plan I would tell myself positive things like that I'm already hot but could make myself even hotter by getting fitter. I respond really well to positive reinforcements. If I do really well with food and exercise one week and lose a kg it reminds me that the plan works and encourages me to keep on going. Negative thoughts like "Ew my body is disgusting" just makes me feel hopeless and makes me want to give up so I try to block negativity like that.
Hi all! I love that there is a group for us shorties! My friends are tall and never understand what I mean when I say I have to eat less than them to be thin.
I currently weigh in at 151 lbs. Ugh. My heaviest was 155 about two years ago. I succesfully lost 25 lbs by using Calorie-Count, planning my meals and having a deadline of a bridesmaid dress to wear. Since that event and other life changes, I've gained most of the weight back. I'm hoping to get down to 120 lbs this time around, at which point I will reassess my goal.
I currently work full time as well as go to school full time, working towards my undergrad Physics degree. Having both of these obligations leaves me little time to focus on diet and exercise. In the past what I've found worked best for me was planning my meals on a weekly basis. That way I knew what I was going to eat ahead of time and always had a healthy alternative to something quick and convenient (and typically unhealthy). This time around I'm going to do that as well as taking some ballet and pilates classes through our University's experimental college.
Cheers to all here and good luck!
Hi Everyone,
It's exciting to find a group for shorties! I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 137. My goal weight is 115 which is 3 pounds heavier than my wedding day. I've had 2 babies in 2 years which is what has put the weight on me. I'm frustrated with everyone saying "you look fine for having 2 babies!" because I don't and I want to look like I did the day I got married - for myself and my husband who loves me despite my weight gain. My 2 best girlfriends are 5'7" and 5'8" they are both tall and gorgeous blondes and think I'm tiny when I tell them my weight. My heaviest pregnancy weight is their normal weight so I definately cannot discuss weight with them. UGH
I'm excited to find some short buddies! I'd love to reevaluate my goal of 115 once I get there to possibly get to 112 or below so we'll see. I weighed around 105 in highschool and looked prettty dang good but it seems unrealistic for a mommy of 2 to me. We'll see though!!
1. History with weight loss: The first time I started losing weight was shortly after I was married-I use to be 115 lbs which I feel quite comfortable with at 5' and than a little over a year later I was at 140 lbs!, so while my husband deployed (on a aircraft carrier for the Navy) for 6 months and I lost 20 lbs by counting calories. It felt very empowering! However he returned right before Christmas and all my hard work went out the window.
I got back up to 133 lbs and than got pregnant shortly after with our first. With this pregnancy I gained 50 lbs. When she was 18 months old I decided to start working out and counting calories again. I went from 140 lbs down to 128 lbs. Than the military moved us once again cross country-I gained about 5 lbs during the move and maintained my weight at 133lbs unitil I got pregnant with our 2nd daughter. I gained 40 lbs with her and stayed very active so I quickly lost the weight after her birth and got back down to 133lbs by the time she was 10 months old!!
But than we were surprised with our third! I was having a hard time taking care of myself and put on 50lbs with my third pregnancy. After she was born I did start to lose some weight-a total of 40 lbs. I have been at 140-145lbs for the last 12 months and now that my youngest is 18 months old, I am tired of feeling (and being) out of shape. Looking back I see how life changes really throw me for a loop in my food intake, but I'm ready to work hard and live a healthier lifestyle!!
2. History with Calorie Count: I was looking for some resources (free I might add) online that would help me out and came across this just yesterday-I love it so far!
3. Reason for joining this group: I'm short and proud of it, but being short and losing/gaining weight is not the same as being tall losing/gaining weight (my hubby is 6'1") so its nice to have others who are in the same boat! BTW I am now 4'11"-after my first pregnancy all dr appt. started measuring me at 4'11"-a phenomonon I have yet to figure out!
4. Some interesting details about yourself,
such as
your job, your family, your pets and your interests: Well as you can already tell, I am happily married and have three wonderful little girls all under 6. I work 2 days out of the week as a Spanish teacher and stay at home the rest of the week-I totally love that! I love to scrapbook and listen to my favorite songs on itunes/my ipod. I love to cook and enjoy trying new foods from around the world.
My current weight is 146lbs and my GW is 125 lbs-I'm excited and cant wait!
Hi.
I'm 5'2 and 135. I have a medium body frame and am very curvy. (I have had a "D" cup bust size since middle school and I only weighed 115 then!.) I have always had a different look then a lot of people my height. My friends said they think of me as the short Jennifer Lopez except I have more chest then booty. : )
I looked my best so far at 125 before I had kid's I really want to get back there. I weighed 145 after having my son but lost that and now I want to lose the last 10 pounds that I gained after having my daughter.
So far I have been working really hard but have seemed to hit a weight loss plateau and have not lost a thing in 2 weeks. I'm hoping my body will get over this wretched plateau so I can get that last 10 pounds off by my son's birthday in March.
I'm Melissa
21, 4'11'' and I weigh in at 180...my goal weight for now is 120.
I'm a full time student and work part time in retail.
Hello Everyone! I'm Jessica. I am 20 yeas old, 4'11 and currently weigh 121.5. My goal weight is 108.
1. History with weight loss: I always thought I was a little chubby, but never attempted losing weight. I am a little big in the chest and butt area, ha...so I guess I never worried to much about it. After 6 months of living with my boyfriend...my clothes were not fitting right, I had gained 10 pounds, and he gained 35 pounds....so we figured it was time to do something about it. I now work out 4-5 days a week for an hour or so a day, and am TRYING to eat around 1450 calories per day.
2. History with Calorie Count: I started using this website in September and at that time I weighed 141, so yay...20 pounds gone! During the Holidays I sort of stopped counting, but was still working out. I didn't gain anything but I also haven't lost anything for a few weeks.
3. Reason for joining this group: I wanted to meet some people who have similar goals to mine. People act like i'm crazy when I say that I want to weigh 108 pounds, and don't necessarily realize that is a healthy weight for someone my height!
4. Some interesting details about yourself,
such as
your job, your family, your pets and your interests: Well, I am a pastry chef...which makes losing weight extremely hard! But I try not to give in to much. I currently live with my boyfriend and our 3 rescued dogs.
Hello, I'm Clarissa-28yrs-5'0-144lbs. My goal weight for 2009 is 120lbs...then I'll decide if I want to lose more or feel comfy where I'm at!
1. Weight Loss Hx: My smallest was 95ish lbs, in Jr. high(at the same height I am now) Then I gradually gained weight throughout high school, but never at all feeling-fat from the weight gain because this gave me nice curves. Ended my Senior yr @ 120. I had a very sexy shape, if I might say...(I can say that now that I'm a stuffed Chimichanga)&nbs p; BUT after high school I got on the 'shot' and gain 20lbs w/in two years! Got to 140 in no-time, moved in with my bf-then shot up to a whopping 167!!!! THE biggest any "shortie" should EVER be. I can't even blame pregnancy, I have no kids! But, that relationship ended not do to my weight, he loved my fatti-ness, lol. He got fat too! But, after we ended, I started working out religously! Went for walks/the gym/climbing hills/ you name it, I moved my butt everyday! I went from 167 to 137! Woohoo! 30lbs! Then got the flu & lost another 10lbs...thanks to my chicken broth & apple sauce meal plan. Needles to say, I gained back 12lbs from that 10 lost once I recovered from my illness. Food is good! So, now I'm at 140ish, thanks to the holidays...It's still heavy, but at I'm thankful to have at least the smidge of self-control to not be back at 167. Sounds like a roller coaster of the scales! I still got curves, but now that comes with a gut and a really round face! I'm not exercising like I did before, about only 2-3 a week now. I would love to be at 130 by the summer & 120 by new years.
2. History with Calorie Count:
I came across this site a while back and forgot about it, saved it and moved on. I joined weight watchers for a while which helped in a 12lbs lost of weight & $60 lost in my checking account. This site is very similar and it's free! I need structure and this site gives me that.
3. Reason for joining this group:
I liked the title & I wanted to read about others that might be going through the same obstacles at me. It is different for a 5'7 women to lose wieght vs a 5'0 shortie.
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I currently work in a prison for the department of corrections and want to some day work for the dept. of justice as an criminal intelligence specialist! I have a fascination with the criminal justice system. I'm single and dating someone that weighs less than me! (he's 135)that's a weird one! I"ve always like big-tall men, but now I'm dating some who is skinny & short! But, he' got the biggest heart & he was a marine! I have no kids, I would lose weight first before that happens for me. I love to shop and look for jobs for other people.
Hi! I'm Lynn. I can't believe that I've been on CC since March and I am just finding this group! I'm 4' 11". I was 230 when I joined CC in March; CW 179.5 trying to get to 115-ish.
1. History with weight loss:
I have struggled with my weight since I was a child. I've yo-yo'd up and down so many times my body is worn out from it. My lowest "down" was 109 just before I got married; my highest "up" was 243 a few years ago. After the 243, I went down to 180 following a "carb addicts" diet, but gained nearly all of it back again. Did I mention that I am only 4' 11" - so that makes me about as wide as I am tall! :)
2. History with Calorie Count:
I found Calorie Count last March when I was searching the Internet for how many calories it takes to maintain 115 pounds. I reasoned that if I ate maintenance calories for 115, my body would adjust down to the calorie intake. Anyway, the search turned up the "Tools" on Calorie Count and I have been using it ever since. On March 13, 2008, I was 230 pounds; on January 9, I was 179.5 (just a smidge over 50 pounds lost so far!). Every ounce I have lost has been due to this site. I love it!
3. Reason for joining this group:

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:
I'm going to be 60 in a couple of weeks! Argghhh, I don't feel that old and I don't want to look that old!
I'm married and have 4 grown children (ages 29, 27, and 25 year old twins).
I am the technology person/geek/nerd at my local Library, cataloging the collection and keeping the computers running. I love my job!
I also love to read. I am a pretty sedentary person.
I'm really love this site, and I'm looking forward to participating in this group.
