Hello Everyone....below are my stats

How old are you?       43
How short are you?   4'10"
What is your current weight?  155
what pant size are you?    12

What is your short term goal(s)?  To get healthy and lose 2lbs per week.

What is your long term goal(s)?    To stay healthy physically and mentally, and maintain the weight that I lose. (Hopefully 30lbs)

1. History with weight loss: I was always a skinny and active kid never weighing more than 95lbs. After having my second child and becoming depressed in my marriage I began to gain weight. My highest weight was 189lbs.

2. History with Calorie Count: I joined CC about two weeks ago. The first week I loss 4lbs.

3. Reason for joining this group: Lose weight and get healthly

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I work for a franchisee as Director of Adminstration; it is a very stressful and demanding job. I work anywhere from 50-60 hours per week. I am divorced and have to children girl(25) and girl(23). I also have a Shih Tzu name Harlee Dee. I like to read, travel, and shop!!

My name is Nathalie

I am 26, 5'1, small/medium frame

1. Before having kids, I never worked out, never cared about eating healthy and I weighed my heaviest at 135.  After having kids I was determined to get in shape and lose weight.  My goal/happy weight is 112.  Recently I gained weight and am now at 120 since January.  I don't know why I can't lose this stubborn weight but I'm determined to get rid of it.

2. I just started using CC, hopefully it will help me keep track of calories, activities, and other support I need along the way to weight loss.

3. I am looking for support in my weight loss.

4. I am a runner and I love to workout.  I used to be a personal trainer but am a stay at home mom now.

Hello. I am Joy, and oh boy, where to begin. I am 5'1", nearly 23 and currently weigh 134lbs.  I have also been a vegan for nearly a year and a half now (for moral reasons).

1. History with weight loss: I first started gaining weight when I went through puberty, pretty normal. In high school I started dieting and was fairly active, I participated in marching band and track. The lowest I ever got was 105lbs my junior year of high school and that was due to starving myself, but that is 100% done with now. Even at my lowest weight, I still wore size 6 jeans, because I have ridiculously wide hips. I've always have a very difficult time keeping the weight off. Throughout my first years of college I was pretty active, I would work out a few days a week and walk every where I needed to go and maintained a weight between 110 and 115lbs. Everything changed when I met my boyfriend, I got happy and lazy and packed on about 20lbs. Now I am just lost and have to change my lifestyle.
2. History with Calorie Count: I signed up quite some time ago to keep track of my diet, but it didn't last long. Now I am in it to win it.
3. Reason for joining this group: I am pretty short and have found it very difficult to take the weight off. I am even at my lightest I am naturally very curvy, with wide hips and large breasts and would like to find people who understand what it's like to be short and especially short and curvy.
4. Right now I am just trying to be the best me. I love animals and I have a college degree in religion.

Hi, my name is elly and i am 4'11.5" and currently weight 114 pounds.  i would like to get under 100 and ideally to around 90 pounds.  i know it is low, but i am a serious ballet student and want to be taken seriously.  i am 17 and going into my senior year of high school.  i was happy with my weight two years ago when i was super restrictive to the point of anorexia for about 3 months but then gained it all back plus more and sometimes binge.

i am not little and skinny unfortunately.  i've always put on muscle easy and now put on weight easy.  i don't necessarily have wide hips, but i do have a large but, theighs, and boobs.

i know i may seem young for a lot of people in this group, but i am very intelligent and mature, not to sound like i'm bragging or anything, but have no clue where i want to go in life.  but i do know i want to be skinny and i'd love to have someone who understands and would like to give and receive support and share the experience.  so if that sounds like you, send me a message!

1. History with weight loss: I was teased for being a fat kid and went on my first diet at seven. I have had a strained relationship with food all my life and my main reasons for putting anything in my mouth is either to get that satifying full feeling or because I know I need to eat to live and be healthy. I don't really love the taste of food per se, which is why I was able to stick to bizarre diets like only eating popcorn for a year! Until around September last year, I weighed about 64 kgs or 141 pounds. I was in a loveless relationship and did not care how I looked because I felt doomed to be with a person who hardly noticed me. I started a relationship with a great guy who actually liked me as I looked then, and I realised that it is important for me to like what I see in the mirror, regardless of how I think I am perceived by others. I have since lost 28 pounds/13 kilograms, and would like to lose 4 pounds or 2 kilos more to arrive at my goal weight of 108/49.

2. History with Calorie Count: I was initially using it to check the calories of various foods, though I can't remember why I started doing that in the first place...anyway, I found the other tools on the site really useful (like burn meter. awesome) and realised I could keep tabs of all my little compulsions by opening an account. I'm officially hooked!

3. Reason for joining this group: At 5'2" I apparently qualify as short (even though I'm only a shade over an inch shorter than the American average, and I don't even live in America). Anyway, that gripe aside, I cannot bear to look at 6ft, 95 pound supermodels as inspiration for my weight loss, so I look to the petite beaties like Eva, Alyssa, Christina, and now all of you, my fellow shorties! Lets rock bantam weight!

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: Well, details I can give. Whether they are interesting is a matter of debate.  Twenty-nine year old vegetarian, animal-loving lawyer with a dry, slightly dirty, sense of humour, an amazing boyfriend, fabulous gigantic dogs, and we just bought a wreck of a house to renovate. And like a scrotum that's me in a nutshell!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Char, I am 56 y/o Rn, who has been trying to get rid of this memopausal weight. I quit smoking  5 yrs ago and gained 35lbs and been having a hard time losing it. After joing Weight Watchers numerous times, i manage to lose 15lbs, but when I quit a month ago i gained back around 5 lbs. I am 5'2" and weigh 149lbs. I always weighed around 110-115. So, i am miserable carrying this weight around. I do alot of walking at work, around 3 miles aday 4x a week and still cannot lose. I eat  healthy to begin with, but I eat to much of the healthy foods. My problem is snacking at night, and it usually is bordom. i hoping by tracking my calories vs countng points will help me.

My name is Adrianna, I'm 20, 5'1 and 117 as of weigh-ins yesterday (i'm in the military)

I used calorie count briefly a while ago but had a crap ton of work stuff come up that made my dieting habits go to heck and a hand basket, and I ballooned from my average weight of about 115 to 125.

I've lost the crazy weight, and am now trying to lose some vanity lbs...100lbs is what i'm shooting for, to look smoking in my bikini for my beach wedding this January.

Like I said, I'm in the military, and it makes keeping a strict eating schedule pretty tough...lots of times my meals will consist of a hastily scarfed powerbar in the middle of a hectic work day and a Taco Bell visit before bedtime.

On top of ALL OF THAT MESS I live/work in a fairly deserted/isolated region of the US. This poses crazy challenges - finding satisfactory fruits/veggies is difficult, as is shopping for meats/other fresh produce.

So, I'm trying to lose weight, eat healthier, work out more, and meet other short ladies who find it hard to lose even five lbs.

My name is Michelle, I'm 27, 5'3ish and a whopping 167.  I started using Calorie Count back in April but suspended any hope of weight loss until after the bar exam.

History with weight loss: Well, up until I graduated college, I never considered myself heavy.  It wasn't until I had a full-time job with long hours that I started to really balloon.  Since then I've gone down to about 150 and then slowly crept up to where I am today.

History with CC: In the past month since I've been back on CC, I've lost 2-3lbs. That was pretty exciting for me!

Reason for joining this group: My taller friends don't get that every pound shows more on me and I need positive reinforcement from people who understand how hard it can be to lose that pudge.

Interesting facts?  I am a lawyer for the federal government and I currently live with my boyfriend.

Hello! I'm Emma, I'm a 28 year old female.   I'm 5ft 1inch with a really small frame and currently about 117lbs.

History with weight loss: My weight has always fluctuated between about 95 and 125 lbs depending on my eating habbits/exercise.  I got up to 125lbs at the start of the summer and would like to get down to 105-108ish.  I would aim lower but I work out a LOT and assume I probably have a decent amount of muscle mass building which obviously weighs more.

History with CC: I went from 125 to 105lbs with the help of CC a couple of years ago, then just after the New Year I went down from 120lbs to 108.  I've hit a plateau this time which I have never experienced before- I do step aerobics and yoga on Mondays, zumba and pilates on thursdays and take one or two days off from the gym per week- the other days I do 30-45 mins of cardio (treadmill, stationary bike, eliptical and rowing) and 10-15 mins of weights so I have a really varied work-out regime and I'm eating 1300 calories a day.  I'm trying the 'adding a weekly cheat day' to see if that makes a difference.

Reason for joining the group: At the risk of repeating what everybody else has said, it is indeed very nice to be among people who won't assume you have an eating disorder because you want to weigh less than 110lbs!  When I was pregnant with my son I would record my body changes/weight etc in an online journal and would generally encounter people who were absolutely horrified by the fact that I only weighted 120lbs on the day he was born.  Everybody was so busy telling me off for 'being selfish' and 'not taking good care of myself/my baby' , npbody seemed to care that I was only 97lbs when I got pregnant and he was born absolutely healthy weighing 7.5lbs!!)

Interesting Facts: I'm English, I'm an apprentice electrician and I live with my lovely boyfriend and 5 year old son.

Hello! My name is Kirstie and I'm 19 years old, 5'2.5", and 118 pounds. I would love to get down to 100-105!!! I really need to find someone on here to be a buddy who will hold me accountable for what I'm eating and how much I'm working out! I have lost about 10 pounds in the past couple of months simply from eating less. I'm in college so some times it is difficult; however, I'm not in a dorm room so I have a kitchen to cook my own meals in! If anyone wants to help keep me on my diet I'd appreciate it!!!

Kirstie,

While being in college often means weight gain, I'm concerned that you're too troubled by it.  You're already in the healthy BMI range at 118 lbs.  True, I don't know about your body type, etc., but by losing another 18 lbs to put you at 100, you would be putting yourself into the underweight category.

Remember: being healthy is more important than weighing in at a certain number!  If you're getting your nutritional requirements, you exercise regularly, and you're in the healthy BMI range, you'll maintain your health.

I suggest you maintain your weight with 1800-2000 kcal per day, and just make sure you're eating the right foods and exercising when you can.

Good luck with your studies!

Hi, I'm Claire, and I'm 14, nearly 15, 5'3 and currently just under 128lbs.

History with CC: I started CC mid last month at about 133lbs, and it works! It's the first time since my massive 40lbs in 2 years weight gain that I've managed to lose more than 3lbs without giving up. I'm trying to get down to 113lbs by about May/June next year, and then maybe lose another 5-10lbs slowly afterwards, but I'll be happy with 113.

Reason for joining: Motivation and all that Laughing

Interesting facts: Well, I'm obsessive about anime/manga, and I love to solve riddles/logical puzzles. Normal people think I'm weird Tongue out

Hi, I'm Nemrac, and I'm 15.

1. History with weight loss: Well, I'm 4'11 and 105 pounds. (it doesn't seam that much, but I'm trying to get those last 5 pounds!) When i was 11-13, during the summer, when we would go to South America every year, i would eat about 5 oroes every day, and then not eat anything else, except maybe soup. I hated the food, and wasn't used to what they were serving, so i wouldn't eat anything. I would loss a lot of weight and go from 110 to 90, and once i realized it, i would purposely not eat whenever we went there, but then gain it back during school. That completely messed up my metabolism. So, now my goal is to diet without going to South America (lol) and do it properly, and with a healthy diet.

2. History with Calorie Count: I stumbled on this a while ago, and never used it again. Then i came across it again, and started trying t out. It really works. I know what foods are good for me, and i can measure my calories out. Also, the rating really helps.

3. Reason for joining this group: Mostly, everybody else's reason. It's hard losing weight and being short. I'm proud of my size, but it's a lot easier being in a group especially made for short people Laughing

4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I love to row. At first, i hated it and only did it because my dad was so proud. Now, though, i love to go out in the water, no matter how cold and just row and do what i do. When i was 13, i already lived in 9 different places around the world, but thankfully stopped moving and settled into one place. And i have one extremely hyper dog Coco, who can some how never run out of energy.
