I guess I must be the only single parent out here? Anyone out there? hello o o o / I hear an echo Kiss

Aw...well. I'm new to calorie count and looking for a spot to fit in. I have to assume that we aren't the only two single parents out there. Embarassed

Oh yeah!!! I'm so glad I found a single parent group!! I'm in some other groups, which is great because any support is better than no support, but it's just not quite the same as talking with other single parents. I'm looking forward to getting to know the others on here.

It seems like we may be the only 3 single parents out there... well I hope more will show up and we can all share our stories, frustrations, joy's and laughter.

My daughter is 16 years old and getting ready to go into 11th grade. I had her very young and have done the best that I can to keep her emotionally happy and healthy, for the most part she's a great kid. But she is a teenager with all the angst that comes along with it. ;)

I sometimes regret that she never really had a 'father figure' in her life, and that I was both mommy and daddy. The guilt can be a bit overwhelming and these are the times that I have to remind myself that everything happens for a reason and that emotionally I had been there for enough to have a good head on her shoulders, make the right choices and believe that her dreams, whatever they may be can come true. I do have a lucky star' per say, and feel positive about many things in my life. The only thing is the guilt that comes along with being a single parent that twinges at me once in a while... any one else go through something similiar? if so How do you handle it?
