Hi, I am not an NSer, but I am a neighbor over in NB. Seems like out winter might be coming sooner than usual, as the leaves started turning a few weeks ago.

Hope you fare alright with the hurricane that's supposed to head your way this weekend.

Thanks for joining!  What are your goals?  I have lost 18 pounds since Christmas and want to lose 19 more.   How do you like this site?  I haven't really made any friends on here but it would be nice too. If you know anyone else who would like to join, invite them along!

Hey there!

I'm Tammy, I'm 24, and you guessed it, I'm over weight!  I live in Cape Breton, but I spent the summer in Halifax.  I had started dieting and exercising and lost 10 pounds within 1 month.  I came back home and put it all back on but for 4 pounds.  So I'm hoping to gain some motivation and get back at it!

I'd love to make some friends, I have about 85 pounds I'd like to lose, that will put me into the 120lbs range.  So its a long way to go! :)

Hi there,

My name is Stephanie and I'm from Halifax.

I just joined yesterday, I'm hoping this may be a great alternative to a very expensive Weight Watchers session!

I only have about 10 lbs. to lose, but I like having some sort of guideline and support when trying to lose those extra couple of pounds.

I've always been an avid exerciser and healthy eater, but as of late I feel as if my healthy lifestyle and habits have slipped away from me. But, it's now time to get back on track!!

So! Here I am!!

Hey Hey.... I'm Kenzie, from NB, joined mid october. Decided to join because one day I took a good look in the mirror and was not impressed. I had pretty much stopped caring about me and realized I needed a good kick in the ass.

I'm 21 and should be enjoying life instead I was wasting it and essentially building a coffin of fat around me. So now I'm counting calories, exercising daily, and researching everything I can about food, weight, nutrition etc.

My overall purpose besides getting rid of the muffin top, lunch lady arms, the Buddha belly, and the thunder thighs, is to finally enjoy a mirror with my reflection.

Hi there everyone!  I am not a very good group moderator as I have been avoiding this site in general like the plague for some reason.  I guess because I had gotton sick and had to stop exercising a bit.  I'm getting back on track though.

I'm finding the hardest time is in the evening, I start out the day very focused but in the evening I get the munchies and I ruin all my hard work during the day.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to everyone who has joined. Hopefully we can start chatting more!

Hey! I'm in Middle Sackvile, NS - just outside of Halifax. I joined in mid-October after a trip to the Dr's office that left me in tears. Never weighed that much in my life! So I decided it was time for a life change. Want to lose 75 pounds and the first 15 are already gone! YAY!

I'm a landscape designer and horticulturalist who is taking the winter off to just enjoy life for a change. A bit boring maybe, but very peaceful and a good chance to get used to eating right and exercising. I'm 38, married with two fur babies - Fern (Toy MAnchester Terrier) and Milo (GIANORMOUS cat). Life is simple but good. We travel a lot to sunny places and I've never been comfortable in my bathing suit. Time to change all that!

Hope everyone in the Maritimes is having some success and for those who are stalled, don't worry...be happy! You're on the right track!

Hello Lilygirl and everyone else in this group.  I'm Mary and i'm from Chapel Island, Nova Scotia.  Last year around the same time of the year I weighed 195 lbs.  That was the biggest I have ever gotten and I was getting acid reflux and had to take meds to help me sleep at night because of it.  I knew then that I had to take life more seriously...my life that is.  I started walking and eating right little by little.  In time I started losing weight a few pounds each week.  Now it's been a year and i'm 136 lbs and I find myself having a hard time trying to get to my goal weight of 128lbs.  I plan to get back into my previously inspired self and get to work on losing the last 8 pounds by the last of August of this year or even earlier.

Hi everyone,I'm berrigirl. This is my first support group for weight loss and maintaining my reached goal. I will be 41 in October and I have about 10 pounds to loose. I am married with 2 teenage children. I work at a hospital near by and my husband is a farmer. I look forward to talking to you all about weight and food choices.

Hi,

I am 44 years old,married with 2 kids.

I am 5'7" and started @ 272lbs and now 236lbs.

as I have IBS weight lose has been difficult too much fibre as in salad veg and fruit makes my digestive system miserable,I am losing weight with the help of a dietician.

I started off well but am losing very slowly now I have to work harder and eat less to lose the same amout. I am ok through the week but weekend I usually overeat especially at get togethers.

I am using the great tools on CC and i like to use the calorie counter. I really like the motivation stories.

Hi there,

I live in Northern NS and have dieted off and on for most of my adult life. I lost 43 lbs with WW and kept most of it off for about 3-4 years. It has all come back and I feel miserable.  This site helped me take off 10lbs and I was on my way to losing more when I had a change of jobs and a much more sedentary one and now I am struggling to keep myself from gaining much more than that original 10 that I took off!! Constant issues with fatigue do not help!

i need to get back on track and hope to find buddies here to help.
