Greetings, I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers having lost 32 lbs in 2000. The last 2 years, however 5-6 lbs crept on and I can't get it off. I know it's probably from being in my 50's and changing to a less physically demanding job, but I would feel better about myself and my clothes would fit better if I would get back down. I joined Calorie Counter because it provides the same services as WW online without the monthly charge.

I'm a full-time state employee at a community college and I'm a quilt artist the rest of the time. Married with 2 grown daughters.

Okay...here goes

History with weight loss:  I've kinda dedicated my time to get in shape and reach my goal, which is to get in good enough shape to become an officer/state trooper.  I really started to focus on my "diet"/exercise/training about Oct of 2010.  I joined a gym in May of last year..of course going off and on and skipping about a month or so in there.  I've lost about 55 lbs since Oct.  I started off with the Atkins diet to jump start and then just focused on what I ate and what I shouldn't eat.  For the most part I've been going down in weight, but there was a point where I plateaued. haha!  I think I hit that again.  I guess I just got tired of being overweight, so I decided to do something about it.  Not only that most of the jobs that I'm looking at have a height/weight requirement...so that's a big push too!

History with Calorie Count:  I was just surfing the net about weight lifting and burning calories and happened to stumbled across Calorie Count...I thought it was pretty cool.

Reason for joining this group:  Honestly, you might consider me a loner, but I'm really not, haha.  I tend to hangout by myself, I think it helps me focus, sometimes a little too much.  But I figured I'd branch out and "hi" to other people who have the same ideals right now...so "Hi".

Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests:  Well...I'm Native American, so that's something different here in NoCo...haha.  I like to do cardio kickboxing, I'm starting to run more.  I watch too much TV, but I do work whilst I watch TV, so I multitask a lot.  That's about it!  Nice to meet all of you!!

I have lived in Steamboat for 22 years off and on and am tired of not feeling like enjoying the paradise I live in!  I have always struggled with weight and recently it hit me,  I am obese and don't really love who I am this way.  I have more to offer myself, my family, my friends, and Mr. Right should he be out there.

Hi, my name is Jenny and I live in Longmont, Colorado. I've been a member on Calorie-count since 2008, but have just really started using it again. I'm 5'4" and 157lbs..... my goal is 135- 140lbs.
