And now just go ahead and make that first post!
Hey Guys!
Well, I've just slowly been packing on the pounds -- really it started when I started dating my now husband. We went out and had huge meals and I starting getting huge, always thinking -- well, next week I'll start the diet.
Now, two months after my wedding, I am at my biggest ever and it is time to lose it all -- and more -- in one swoop. I've never been the lithe, small girl and I think I had kinda convinced myself that the 150s was a fine place for me. And I am comfortable there -- but at 5'5'' and (scary to say -- 181 -- not comfortable here at all) I am excited to get down to 135 -- and I know I can do it.
I've tried weight watchers, but i just wouldn't stick to it -- i really needed the daily support that is here on CC and hopefully, in this group!
It is 13 weeks still Christmas Eve -- and I am going to try to be 155 by then -- then by March 5th -- 135 -- that'd be 2 pounds a week!
Here's my plan:
1) cut out wine from the daily to the weekends
2) no fried food, including my favorite - chips and cheese dip
3) water with everything and before anything. I wanna be full of water!
4) stick to the exercise plan -- i've been going when i feel like it -- mostly 1-2 times a week -- now my husband and i are going 3x a week -- and i am doing 2x by myself.
5) walks at night -- Zak and I have been taking a walk once a night for the last week -- and it is awesome -- even for 10 minutes just to talk with no distractions and no agenda. it's awesome.
6) portion control -- my first serving, nothing is bigger than my fist. then i wait 15 minutes and if i am still hungry, half a fist second serving -- and nothing after 8p
7) -- got some advice from a lady on here who has lost 52 pounds over the last 7 months -- and it was -- not to cheat -- ever. don't let yourself "have the weekend" or "go crazy" on a meal -- realize that that is what will put you in the wrong direction -- stay focused.
So, that's me -- can't wait to hear from everyone else!
Anna
