Hello! I am new to this whole thing and am excited to get started! I have three young children and am SOOO ready to finally get all of my extra weight off. I have always been considered tall and skinny at 5'8", but I have an extra 40 lbs to lose now. I have been working out religiously but haven't seen much result. That is why I am so excited about this site.I believe that keeping track of my activities and eating daily will help me stop eating too much. I am 25 years old and I have 3 boys ages 8, 3 and 1.  I am working as a legal secretary and am attending on-line courses to obtain my associates degree in paralegal studies.

Hello, I have been a member at calorie count for a year, and I am pleased with my results. I use to never be overweight until I hit 50ish, then I would gain 10 lbs a year, then more than 20lbs a year. When I turned 55 I was weighing in at roughly 198 lbs. I found this website in an article in the New York Times. So I decided to have a look see....the rest is history and 40 lbs lighter give or take a pound or two. I am happy, and loving life. I walk 60-90 minutes 5 days a week. On Sunday I try to add in a 2 hr. walk. I did slip a little the end of August but now I am back on track. I have a grown daughter who is 35, and also doing CC thru me. She has lost 15 lbs and looks good. So this is probably one of the best things I have done for myslef. I work in a law firm, and love it......though sometimes people get a little antsy but that is o.k. I just keep a low profile until the dust has settled.

1. I've been on a roller coaster of weight ever since I graduated high school 4 years ago.  I was about 140 then, gained about 20 pounds, lost it all, and gained about 15 back.  And that was all without trying or paying any attention.  Since I started working out in September, I have lost 8 or 9 pounds and have about 6 to go to fit nicely back in my high school jeans!

2. I joined CC about a month ago.  I never thought I would become this active in it!  Reading and posting in the forums keeps me motivated.

3. I think this is pretty obvious! My dream job is to be an Angel.  I would give anything to be Heidi Klum!

4. I'm a senior in college at the beach (talk about pressure to look good!).  I have a wonderful boyfriend.  We share a yellow lab/husky mix who stars in my profile picture.  I also have a crazy little orange kitty.  I am absolutely, totally obsessed with both of them!  I work at a bookstore, it's a pretty good job and it's usually fun.  I want to go to law school but I didn't study for the LSAT this summer like I was supposed to, so that dream has to wait a year or so.  Hopefully not too long.  I'm currently doing the c25k program, although I wasn't a total couch potato.  I'm about halfway through and loving it!  I have always wanted to be a runner.  I can't wait to sign up for my first 5k and wear a t-shirt to brag!

Hi! I'm 16 years old from *ahem* "sunny" old England - 5'7, currently 136lbs at 34-27-38. I was also a chubby kid, and had serious esteem issues about it, but lost a lot of weight around the end of primary school/start of secondary school. However, since then I've always been kind of "average" and never truly happy with my body - you can put that down to teen troubles if you like, but I'd like to think I'm older and wiser now ;). Well I hit my old HW since a trip to Paris 3 or 4 years ago, 140lbs, and really want to get back down to a 110-120 range as I was before, just more toned this time!

I joined CC not too long ago and up until now haven't really been a part of the community but start of a new month, turning over a new leaf!

As you might have guessed, I love VS, and if it wasn't for the exchange rate and my measly student earnings, my wardrobe would be full of it! I'm studying English Literature, Drama, Art and Psychology at A Level at the moment, and hopefully going on to study Creative Writing at University in a couple of years. Writing is my passion alongside anything arty - and of course I love a good cup of tea!

Hoping to meet some sweet people here, so drop me a message :).

1. History with weight loss: I'v always had a fast metabolism and been very active with dance and gymnastics, maintaining around 115 for my 5'8" frame. I'm now up to 130 thanks to college life and really want to be back to 115.

2. History with Calorie Count: Joined today!
3. Reason for joining this group: I want to look like an angel.
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: Student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Biophysics, I work in a Biochemistry research lab, I live with my dad and older brother back at home, I have a brittany spaniel named Kaiser. I love to dance and draw.

Ok. First things first.

1. I have never lost weight only gained until a few months ago. I am 157.5 (Yes....the .5's are very important!) And my goal is 138. Less would be better but I don't think reasonable. I am 5'9" and never had a huge issue but I am not happy with the weight that I have gained. In college I was 130, and that was great, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my body has changed in a way that I won't ever be that same size again!

2. Started calorie count last summer, and went on hiatus until January. It showed because I gained 8 pounds. Now I have come from 166 to 157.5 since Jaunary. That is amazing to me!

3. I joined this group because it felt like a group that I could relate with.

4. Interesting details....well I wanted to respond to...the comments about getting excited to do a 5K. I started running in January 2008. I had never run a mile bfore that, and I ended up running about 6 races last year ranging from 5K, to 10K, to attempting a marathon. I really believe I could have done the marathon in full, however due to my schhedule I didn't train as well as I should have. So my thoughts are that anyone (barring bad knees or other ailments) can run, and trust me, once you start you become addicted...I never thought I would say that! Other than that I live with my boyfriend of 5 years, we have 2 cats, Monkey and Phil, and I am an interior designer in Chicago. I also work at the school I graduated from tutoring students that need additional help. So you can see my issues with a limited schedule.

Hi! I am 18 years old and I am from Greece. I was never overweight, I had just gained some weight through my exams, but now I am fine. My height is 178cm and my weight is 63 kg. I started the Calorie Counter the day before yesterday to control my weight and I joined this group...I don't know, I guess I love VS angels and would love to look like them. I live with my family and study about films in university. I love gym, reading, hanging out with friends and travelling.Laughing

Hello!  My name is Alyssa, and I am a single mom from St. Louis, MO.  I gained about 60 pounds when I was pregnant and then kept it on for another 3 years.  I've already lost that 60 lbs., but have had trouble getting any more off.  I joined Calorie Count today, because I needed something to help me track my calories better.  Lately, I've been eating to maintain, and I need to eat to lose!  I joined this group, because it was the only one that seemed interesting to me; I often look at the VS Angels to give myself motivation.  I'd love to get my bikini bod back again!!!

HI

I'm Canadian and I've just found this site. I'm looking to lose about 10 pounds, which doesn't seem like much but my body is weak and flabby from no exercise since last year. The reason why I stoppped was I became pregnant, with twins, and my energy level dropped. I had my beautiful twins in March and I've put on pounds that weren't there before. I believe it's due to fatigue mostly. I've got problems with portion control, love ice cream, cheese and peanut butter.

Insterestingly enough my usband and I recently agreed for motivation purposes, to go on a trip to Mexico next year for our 4th wedding anniversary. He even agreed that if I met my goal I could have 7 days worth of Victoria's Secret clothes for the trip. I would love a whole new wardrobe. That's my motivation: the promise of a great trip in great clothes. I can't wait to look sexy!

Hello everyone,

I joined this group today to get some insripation from women like myself who want to look like a Victoria Secret Angel!! Or close to itWink

I gained altogether around 35 pounds after both pregnanecy's. Lack of activity and telling myself it would just go away put me here. I'm understanding that eating healthy, and exercise aren't really that bad . I'm learning how to enjoy it. I still do enjoy food so I have my work cut out for me.

I really want to feel good about myself, I think that's why I joined this group. do love to treat myself to VS items, so feeling great in them would be a major gift!!!! I want to FEEL,LOOK and LIVE healthy but of course I need help from groups like these!!

Welcome to the group! I would like to get more activity going on here. Let me know if anyone else agrees!

I've just recently gotten into CC. I'm not overweight, but I have put on about 10 lbs since I started working in an office, so I'm here to nip it in the bud. I'm currently engaged, we've been together for 4 years. I work for an airline and like to travel. I have a goofy Scottish terrier (as you can see in my profile picture).

hey!

since a quite young age (11) i've been trying to lose weight the healthy way (more exercise, healthier food etc.). But i always fail after a few days or maximum after a week. Now i'm 15 and soon to be 16, and it has been going on for nearly 5 years. I'm sick of binging and feeling guilty..but food is soo tempting. I'm not fat or obese...i'm 5ft 6 at 68 kg...i'm still considered healthy for my age (but on the limit of being fat). I used to be able to fit into a size 10 UK but now i can't...i can only fit into a size 12 UK. Recently i've realised i want to become a high fashion model and victoria secret's model so i definitely need to lose weight permanently and in the healthy way. I really want to drop to a size 6 or maybe even a 4....the only thing is i'm soo tempted by the food. I usually compete against my sister, but when she starts binging, i usually do as well. After a school day i can't be bothered to stick to my diet....i really need a buddy to help me and so i can help someone to!

My history with CC - this is the 2nd day!!

I really want to join this group as i want to be the next Miranda Kerr..but also i want to lose weight healthily and look great to boost my confidence. When i feel fat, i feel so self-conscious that i hate myself soo much!

Well about myself....i'm 15 (soon 16). I have the most adorable persian cat and i love to ski, play tennis, horse riding, basketball and jog (if i can be bothered to jog)!!
