Welcome to Kittens and Cats and everything FELINE! I am Molly .... what can I say? I think I am one of those crazy cat ladies, lol! I've been a cat lover since birth, and my parents used to tell me that my first spoken words were "kitty kitty kitty" -- and that I started nibbling on kitty kibble as soon as I could crawl.

My avatar is Fuzzball, the world's cutest kitten. Fuzzball is one of eleven (yes, eleven) fuzzy felines who live at our cat sanctuary / home -- my wonderful DH and I are very active with local animal rescue.  I definitely have a "thing" for orange kitties ... we have six of those!

Hi fellow CATPURRSONS! Yes I am a true lover as well. I have 5 furrballs myself or umm they have a human! I'll start with Neiko he was left by a mother kitty at 2 weeks old and sooooo I bottle fed took him to work with me taught him how to poop pee the whole nine yards. He weighed only 2 1/2 OUNCES! Solid black but for one little tiny brush of white under his legs. When he started walking I discovered he was handicapped and took him to the university of Tennessee at Knoxville. The top 10 neurologists in the vetrinary world saw this baby. Long story short his brainstem did not form totally while still in his mother so it doesn't tell his back legs to go but it tells everything else just fine. They said he was very healthy and it would be like having a handicapped child (or maybe a drinker) but that he definitely thought I was his mom! Well Neiko is now 13 years old and getting along just fine. Next I have Tyler-the socialite he's 10. Then Mollie the non stop chatterbox "alarm clock" she is 16. Then Katie the grump always an attirude she's about to be 12 the 1st of September and last but not least there is Shelby who was the last rescue 3 years ago who weighed in around 3 lbs now 20!!!! He will be 4 Halloween! He is orange and white and quite the prankster! Me I'm single well divorced no not because of my catchildren! Trying to keep my weight at maintenance these days! Successful at it so far!

I'm the parent to 3 furbabies.A female, 10 years old named Mittens, (she has extra fingers) nicknamed Dumdum, a male, 4 years old named O.G. (short for original gangster), and a male kitten, approxamitely 3 1/2 months old (he was found in our backyard in July), named Yoshi Mitsu.

I'm mom to one foster kitty Munchkin.  TOok her in until the rescue could place her and noticed the first week that she  peed A LOT.  She's in renal failure  so she's mine for as long as I can make her comfortable. The vet says 1-2 years but she could go anytime.

I also have 2 bunnies (flip and flop) in foster care. And 1 doggy (Bandit) of my own :)

I am a Mom to 7 furbabies...

1 year old Himalayan-Bengal Mix, Bongo

2 year old Blue Point Himalayan, Buddha (Mr. Boo)

3 year old Blue Point Himalayan, Socrates

6 year old orange kitty, Boris

6 year old tortoisehell, medium-haired, Squeaky

7 year old seal-mitted Ragdoll, Solomon (Solo) and

an 8 year old black American shorthair, Isis.

My first cat was Fats... a half-Persian, half-Bobcat. He weighed thirty pounds (not overweight, just big), lived to thirty, and he was my best friend growing up.

My first babies were Tubby and Ski, a ginger Angora and a tortoiseshell Angora. They lived to 18 years of age. I was totally devastated by their loss.

Now, I and the Hub have the Seven, or what we call "The Mongrel Horde." They are the main focus of our lives, and are spoiled rotten!

I am descended from a really long line of cat people. A house is not a home without something gorgeous and furry purring away and making all sorts of demands. :-)

I'm Meg, 24, and have loved kitties since I knew they existed.  I have 5 kitty-babies:

Kitty (7, long-hair calico F,) Cory (4, Short Hair Orange Tabby F,) Remo (4, SH white with blue and green eyes M,) Harley (4, SH calico F,) and Dimmy (7, Maine Coon F.) (Cory and Remo are in my avatar.)

We're also hosting a stray, a beautiful long hair tortie we call "Stranger Kitty." She's staying with us until her family claims her, unless she's a loner, then she's up for adoption. (She does not get along with the others. :(  )

My first kitty was a long hair with white and grey patches called "Precious." I've always been a sucker for a big fluffy tail...! ^_~   I'm the only cat nut in my family, and have been designated THE cat lover since I was 4.  Every holiday I get cat cards and cat-themed gifts...! ^_~

I lucked out when I found a man with a soft spot for kitties.  We dote on them like they're royalty...! They even have little Christmas stockings on the fireplace! ^_^

I am an avid cat lover looking to lose weight. I have 2 boys - Snarf & Bailey & one haughty little girl named Hallie. She's dad's gal she is. Bailey & Hallie are rescues. Snarf was found at 4 weeks of age by my ex roomie behind our garbage can - he was bottle fed & now endures bad allergies because he was separated from his Mom so early in life. I love my babies - & keep pics of them on my ipod when i run at the gym. I could kill the YMCA people though - today on the tv's in front of the treadmills they had a show on how donuts are made in the factory....what kind of sadist put that on????

Hi Snarfsmom! Gosh I just looked and I haven't been on here since August of last year! Since then I have lost Neiko the little handicapped baby I told everyone about. (Just before Christmas last year). I have my other 4 little "ANGELS" though of course! I was doing well back then I see at maintenance but...ahem....not so much these days. I was staying pretty much at 130-133 now I am staying at 143-145 UGH! Its my own fault and now here it is the holidays so I think I am in trouble!!!!

Anyway Just thought I would welcome you to the group and hopefully everyone will start chatting on here one day! I am mostly on another forum but do check in here as well!

Don't worry about the weight - myself - the last time I weighed 130lbs I was 9 years old. I am circling around the 190lb mark - I am glad that I am a muscular lady - at least I don't appear to be the weight I am.  At least my giant 6'6 boyfriend finds it cute!

I am sorry to hear you lost your little one. I lost my little guy Mr. Moo to feline leukemia 6 years ago & it was awful. But indeed as the holidays approach I have decided not to focus on goodies. Instead I bought fuzzy jingle bell collars for the kitties. (They think I am torturing them.) 

But I figure - better to be involved in good laughs than good chocolates.

As for myself - just looking for fellow folks to chat with. it's nice to have the support as I am the only one in my circle who has to watch my weight. Hope you & everyone here have a great holiday!

Hi Snarfsmom! Yeah the kittys and I made it through TURKEYDAY...they loved that holiday believe me! I don't have any human kids so at Christmas I go crazy with the cat toys and stuff I even will wrap some and sprinkle cat nip on them and let the cats unwrap them themselves!! LOL

I know I know sounds like I am getting close to being the crazy cat lady sometimes but it is so cute and fun i can't help myself!!! Just remember not to let them eat any of the paper........

Great hearing from you! Oh and I have a 'THIN FRIEND" that was fussing about not being able to fit into her size 8 jeans and I informed her I had not been a size 8 since I was 8! So I hear ya!!

Hahaha - my thin friend is a proffesional model who is a size 4. She rolls up her skin & claims she is getting fat - drives me bonkers!!!!!
