This summer I found out I was 106 kg! I though enaugh was enaugh and since june I have managed to loose 17 kg, and I feel allot better! I make small goals for myself, a 5 kg goals, wich add up to sirka 8 goals I have to reach 3 now and need 3 kg to have reached number 4.  When I reach that one I will have lost 20 kg and will only have 22 kg left!Laughing

Hi! My name is kayla. I weigh 206 and i am 5'10. I gained most of my weight from having 2 kids. I gained 50 lbs with my first and 19 with my second. I weigh now what i did when i found out i was pregnant with my youngest. I joined calorie count to help me lose the baby fat that i have had for 3 yrs now! I want to get back down to the weight i was before the kids which is 165. Im sure with the support of all yall and the help from the site i will reach my goal bfore my 21st bday.

Hi all!

History.. well I gained weight in the last few years, until I was officially 'overweight' Dec. 2008 - a combination of menopause and having been ill for a long time, it wasn't until I began to recover that I thought I oughta brush the dust off the scales & got the shock of my life!

I joined a different site in March and so far have lost nearly a stone.  Unfortunately the site was not well managed and a certain amount of bullying ensued which was badly handled by the managers, it was no fun any more, so here I am (and will probably be shortly followed by others :)   )

I'm 58, live in the UK, work as a volunteer with a free legal aid group and am a part time artist, have 3 grown up children, one of whom managed to do the right thing and become a musician :ob

I'm wanting to lose another 8lbs, to get to the middle of my BMI range, but they say the last half stone is the hardest!
I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you guys , buddy chats would be cool :)

1. History with weight loss:a 10 year battle after a thyroid storm and child birth, and food sensitivites to whole grains, beans and soy. Have maintained one weight for 4 years until just this year when I cut out the above foods.
2. History with Calorie Count:I use it as my food diary and quick look up
3. Reason for joining this group:the web tools are far better than WW
4. Some interesting details about yourself, such as your job, your family, your pets and your interests: I have 6 children (5 teens) I love my Yorkie Poo. I have a hectic life and try to cook ahead meals.

Hi! I just joined Calorie Count today and am very excited. I know keeping track of what I eat will be so much easier now.

1. History with weight loss: I am looking to lose a little bit of weight but mostly start eating healthier and tone up. My highest weight ever is 133, I am currently 125, my goal is about 118. I am 5'6".

2. I don't really have a history with CC yet, but I am excited to get started!

3. Reason for joining this group would be that I am just looking for a little female support, even though I am not overweight, the majority of my weight is fat not muscle, and I am looking to change that. I have a huge fear of gaining weight because all of my female relatives are very heavy and they seem to put most of it on in the middle to late 20's. My 1st cousin went from 5'6" and about 130 pounds to almost 300 pounds. It's the same story for my mother and grandmother. Let's just say by joining CC I am trying to change this trend.

4. Interests: I love anyhting outdoors, camping, skiing, boating, you name and if its outside I am probably up for it! I also just got married in September and I can already tell that somethings are going to have to chagne with our eating habits or we will both balloon!

Hello,

I am new to CC.

Two years ago I slowly lost weight counting calories and walking a bit. It was tough calculating my calories and protein, etc.

I became fit and was happy with my weight and then just this past summer threw it all out the window by eating fast food everday. By end of summer, I was 180.

My goal is 150. I hope to be there by valentine's day 2010. And so far so good. By counting my calories just recently I have lost 4.5 lbs. :)

This website makes it so much easier to track calories, protein, etc. I love it!

I am determined to get back to where I was AND to stay there! So this time I am giving away all my 'fat' clothes so i don't get back into them.

D

Hello, I just joined CC and I'm loving it so far (particularly the useful tools under 'Account' and how active the forum is).

I recently decided to get a grip on my health after a health scare. I blog about my journey here - http://downhillafter30.wordpress.com

Thanks for reading and hope to become an active and useful member here!

Hi there group ,

I joined back in August and was doing very good with logging in my foods ,my exercising,it was allot easier then pen n paper counting the calories etc and being busy as most mom's are who had the time ......so this here is assume few min a day ,what u are putting in and burning off and being graded!!!WOW

I just found with my computer crashing in Aug ,hubby on holidays things just ran away with me In Sept we join a family gym was going a few x then I started to help a friend at her store for month1/2 and was not going to the gym but with all the running around I lost inches,Then Nov came old ways started up with  using the gym  2x eating more then ever,so I gain the weight, inches and in my 140's a weight that took 2 years to get out of and 30 days to put on ,DANG!!!

My grocery habits are still there as the same since my son was born{12yrs}with HEALTH FOOD CHOICES of whole grains, veggies, fruits and lean cut meats plus fish ,but it is my  snacking when he is not around ,he does not need his parents bad eating habits,

We are not a rich family but here I al throwing $$ by wasting foods ,buying my Oxygen mag each month and there other specials or Tosca new CB but to frustrated with myself to even read them !!

so I am here doing my best to read on catch up and this year I want  to go to my hubby xmas party feeling good about myself and not trying to hide me ,lol party on 19 so work is in the store for me being 3pounds lighter will even be nice.

and looking forward to chatting with u all,

HI Group!!

I'm new to CC. I haven't always had weight trouble. As a child and through my teenage years, I always managed to stay active. My weight problems started in my early 20's when my activity level went down considerably. I got up to about 235lbs. I was "fat and happy".

One day in the beginning of last summer, something must have snapped in my head and I got nuts about wanting to lose weight (& quit smoking). I've tried several different times before with no success. I've recently hit a total of 67 lbs lost on my current "diet" by limiting my calorie intake to around 1200/day and running everyday (5.5 miles every other day & 3.5 miles the days in between, of course not at 1st, that's where I'm at now). It's websites like CC where I've learned about fitness and proper eating habits.

My reason for joining CC, is to find any extra tips to rock me off a plateau that I've been stuck on for the past month or so. My 1st goal was 165, but after getting where I'm at now, looking in the mirror and still seeing flab, I readjusted it to 135. I'm planning a vacation in the beginning of April. I would like to hit my goal by then, 2lbs/wk x roughly 18 wks, which I think is plausible.

One of my biggest obstacles is and has been my job. I work a rotating shift including over night shifts. I never have a set schedule from week to week. I always do my run right when I wake up (whatever time that happens to be).

Now that's its Dec 1st and winter is about to kick off, I'm getting a little nervous. Am I crazy? Maybe you shouldn't answer that....

Hi there,

Congratulations on u'r weight loss !!!!!!!!! Laughing, and no more smoking Smile

I myself as u read was back n forth but realize not having a friend to workout with or a place to talk to others and feeling accountable was and is my downfall,

I also started having problems with my weight in my 30's and till then was slim ,and having child in the house I  hid the junk food that started the late night snacking the started the weigh gain

I too thought of WHY KNOW?? Dec1 but then why not what is the best time to learn portion control ,healthy eating then know??preparing our own lil snacks n meals for the parties ahead,

chat later
