Hi , Im jackie

When I was 22 I weighed 210 pounds and I lost about 90 of it. I managed to keep it off till I was about 38.. Then all of a sudden I started to gain weight little by little. Until I found my self  at 42 years old and 25 pounds over weight... I joined CC back in July, but I just could not get my self going... But I'm here now and I'm ready to go...I work long hours sitting in a truck or running some kind of equipment so I don't get allot of exercise ... But I'm going to change that too.. Not the job but the exercise part LOL.. I have started a walking program and I love it.. And I have a walking buddy.. That would be my little dog...

Hi, Im Jen

I am 20 years old. in high school i weight 220lbs. my mom put me on the akins diet my freshman year and i got down to 175lbs but being the rebel i am i started to get carbs and gained it all  back. during my first year in college i lost the weight healthy with out really trying. water weight i guess. so now i am about 185lbs. i want to lose another 40lbs or how ever much it takes to get rid of my tummy rolls. i have a lot of muscle mass so i think 40lbs might be a little to much but we'll see in a few months. i would like to be a healthy weight not too under or not overweight just a happy healthy weight. i joined CC in late june and lost a few pounds but i could not keep myself motivated. so here i am starting it again. hopefull this time it will stick. i have also started running again!! i love running so hopefully that will help witht he extra fluffyness

Helloooooo I am Julie, 44 years old and just tired of looking frumpy in clothes. I've been told I am HOTT! by a complete stranger so maybe it's not as bad as I think! I gained 101 pounds back in the early 90's due to thyroid cancer and overeating (feeling sorry for myself!) In 2000 I joined Weight Watchers with my best friend and I lost 60 pounds over 2 years. I have since broken a few bones and spent way too much time in OR's. I would like to get to 140 becasue it will be a healthy BMI and God knows at my age I want to be healthy!

I like to use "things" as motivators, my current motivator is on my gallery. I have pictures taped to my treadmill to remind me why I want to keep on going. I have this January 23 date to be thinner and look HOTT in that dress, it is only a matter of doing the right thing each day, if I screw up, I have to remind myself that tomorrow will come and so will my chance to do good again. Since joining CC 1.5 weeks ago I gained 3 pounds and this week lost 1. Thanksgiving, or my inability to stay away from cherry pie, did me in but I am doing cardio 4 times this week (maybe 5!) and the scale will show it soon.

Good luck to everyone!  We CAN do this!  It's NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!

Hi!  I'm Jessi.  I'm totally new to the site.

Im 22.  When I was younger, I was a bit chubby, but in high school I guess I dropped all my baby weight and was wicked skinny (but in a healthy way)...it was great.  I probably weighed 117 lbs at most (I'm 5'5").  I stayed pretty slim through most of my college, but I don't know what happened... over the past 2 years I gained weight like crazy.  I guess it was mostly due to stress, poor eating, and lack of time to excercise.  Since this summer I've been losing weight slowly, and now I seem to fluctuate between 135-140.  I really, really want to get down to at least 120-125 and fit back into my old clothes again!

I go to a very demanding college and find it very difficult to stick to a diet and excercise plan.  I have little time to work out, but I do what I can.  Its also very difficult to diet because nearly everyone around me has little motivation towards working out and keeping fit.  Its really hard to resist all the Starbucks runs and late night milkshake and fry runs, too.  I joined this group hoping to find some support so I can finally and really stick to a good plan!

Hey, Im Amanda im 18 and weight 169 pounds. I lost weight last years but didnt stick with it and now i'm at my heightest weight. I would like to be 120 but I'll shoct for 150 by feb. My boyfriend is coming back in feb. and I would love to surprise him by looking better and feeling better about how I look.

Hello, i am stefanie. I started c-c.com almost 3 years ago. I started at 260, now i am about 155. I had gotten down to 139, but ate my way back up a bit. Now i was quite happy at 140, i want to go back to that, and maybe down to 135. I would be so happy if i could. I am joining this group cause i feel i can not do it on my own. It took me 1 year to lose that 15 pounds and only 1 month to gain it. I want it gone for good, but need more support.
I am 25, I am a mommy of the cutest little 5 year old girl you will ever see. I love going for walks and would like to get back into walking and working out as often as i can/should. Life is pretty stressful, it is hard to lose weight with stress, but it makes it easy to gain. I need to somehow learn not to eat out of stress, with all the weight i lost, i guess i never learned that. So i need to now, cause i am so unhappy, i want to lose these 15 again, i want to feel thin and be happier with my body again.
I quoted the text so that I could answer each of the questions without having to scroll up, and this is what happened! lol.
hope we can all lose some weight together. thanks! stef.

hi i'm chloe. i'm an art student with a passion for fabulous aesthetics, which is a big reason i want to lose weight. (i want to be able to wear virtually anything and still look awesome) there are other reasons, too, of course: confidence, potential boyfriendness, etc. the art world is a very visual community - i want to look as good as my work, basically. i went from 165 to 145 from last july to last october. i got down to 135 this summer and it was sweet!!! but now i'm back to 149+ somehow. it is quite frustrating. i joined this group for the same reason everyone else has, for support and motivation. it's always easier with a group.

Hi, guys!  I'm a mother of four boys (ages 6,5,3, and 1).  I homeschool the two oldest.  I first started losing weight (through calorie count) after having my third child and being up 30 lbs (170) from my pre-prego weight (140).  I lost 20 (150), then got pregnant with #4.  I lost all of that pregnancy weight pretty fast with hard workouts got down to 144, but since June or so I've slacked a lot.  I've gone back to drinking Dr. Pepper (regular).  I just weighed in on Monday at 159.  YIKES.  I'm already down to 154.5 (I think lots of water weight just getting back on track).  Since I homeschool and just the boys in general, it's a bit hard to get to the gym, but I still go twice a week and have a workout partner, then I take the oldest boys and play racquetball with them.  My husband just bought me the Wii Fit for Christmas so I'll try that for the days I don't leave.

Good Eating!

Betsy

Hi, My name is Cathy, I'm 53 years young and I want to look it too!  I have always watched my weight since I was a teen and My 4 older sisters would always tell me I was fat.  I was a big girl.  My Parents grew up in the Depression and having plenty of food was a big deal to my Dad.  I was 155 lbs when I started High School and 138 when I graduated.   Most of my adult life I have wavered around 143 lbs but when I hit Menopause 3 years ago, the pounds just kept creeping on and my energy levels kept going down.

I have never had so much trouble just moving.  But if I can, I know my weight will go down.  I just started at CC on Nov. 22nd.  Weighted in at 168.8 and Monday was sitting at 166.4.  Not the greatest loss in the world, I've done this 10 times since March.  I get down to 162 and then crash.

But I'm hoping that having a little bit of accountibility with live people will help to keep me motivated.  My husband and I moved to the mid-west back in February and are both till trying to find jobs.  We are living with my In-laws, both of whom are just past caring about what they eat, so the house is laden with food traps.  I try really hard not eat the bad stuff but Mom, bless her heart, will make dinner and most of the time it's entirely starch.  And she turns her nose up at vegetables and puts gravy on almost everything.   So I try to keep really small portions, add lots of salad and on weekends, (when I am working) I try to do all the cooking.  Fortunettly I am temping at a hospital and there is alot of walking on this job, so I am getting more movement.  I may not have lost weight, but it is getting easier to zip up my pants!

I'm Sofia.  I've been trying to lose 20 lbs. on and off for 20 years.  It recently went up to 30 lbs. and I lost 10 lbs. so I'm back to trying to lose 20.  I'm 42, a social worker, and I have two kids.  I like to exercise (step class, swim aerobics, walking, yoga, pilates).  I try to go to the gym 4 times a week.  I'm 5'11 and my goal weight is 175.  It's really busy at my job this time of year, which tends to make me eat more.  My sister was able to lose 30 lbs. last year, so I see that it can be done.  Before that, I just thought we were fated to be slightly overweight.  Now I'm trying to eat healthier, but it's an uphill battle.  I like chocolate chip cookies a little too much.  This week, I plan to eat more salads, apples, and various vegetables.  I plan to eat fewer nachos and cookies.  Hopefully I stick with the plan and lose a few lbs. this month.  I need to learn how to have fun with the kids while not eating all the foods that they are able to eat.  Good luck to everyone.

I'm Vanessa.  I'm 29 y/o and would love to get back to my ideal weight before turning 30.  I have been quite fortunate with my weight, but when I began living with my hubby (bf at the time) in 2002, I had gained about 15 pounds.  I was active duty military preparing to get out so I had started to watch what I ate and hit the gym 3-4 times a week.  I lost 20 pounds and felt great.  Four years later, I'm on that path again.  Last year, I had switched birth control (& gained 15 pounds in just a few months) and got married.  I'm 5'5" and weighing my highest: 155#.  I recently found this site and figured I'd give it a try.  I'm still not good with logging my stuff on the site (easier for me to enter it in a written journal), but I hoped to find some motivated people to help me out.  One thing that keeps me in check is the fact that I am still in the military as a Reservist, so I have to stay within weight standards and I am my unit's health promotions coordinator! (so I HAVE to be good).  This journey will be tough - I start RN school in January!  We can do this!
