And now just go ahead and make that first post!
So here I am. I've struggled with my weight all my life except for in my early twentys. I just had my 2nd little boy, Logan, on Oct 3rd 2008. I gained 50 lbs with my pregnancy and so far have only lost 16 lbs of it. I need to lose another 86 lbs pounds to get to my goal weight of 160. I am 5'9 and today weigh 246. My biggest eating issue is portion control and sweets. I love me some cookies. I just started calorie counter this week and so far I love it.
I am married to my husband, Joe, and have 2 little boys. Aaron (3) and Logan (2m). They are the light of my life. I love the Lord and try to live by His Word as much as I can. Although, I falter often. I manage 3 local Allstate Insurance offices here in Shreveport, LA. I love my job but do wish I could be a SAH mom. Maybe one day.... sigh.
I hope we can all encourage each other and lift each other up through this process of getting healthy. After all, our body is a temple and right now mine sure needs some remodeling! LOL.

First, I want to ask if I can join your group... I am almost a stay at home mom who loves the Lord. I am a nurse and work on Monday (my husband is off) and 1evening a week. The rest of the time I am at home. I feel like a SAHM most of the time with 4 year old twin boys and a 2 year old little girl. If you would rather me not join I understand. Thanks for considering.
I consider myself a stay at home mom. I home school my daughter and until this year home schooled my son. He is now in high school. I stay home during the day while my husband works and work nights and weekends where I am a receptionist at an assisted living home.
Since I turned 30 (now am 36) I have had trouble keeping weight off. I have had some health issues where I have had to stop exercising for periods of time such as foot surgery and neck surgery. Each time requiring me to stay off my feet for at least a month. Both times I gained 20lb. I am now 40lb overweight. I have fought depression over the last few years over marriage issues and losing my father suddenly to cancer.
I am in a good place in my life right now and am trying to take control back of my eating and activity level. I am looking for encouragement and accountability. Looking forward to being a part of this group.![]()
