Welcome to Hump Day!! Its Wednesday, lets chat!!
Not so fiesty...worried.
I'm just stressing about the easy questions during the interview like "Tell me about yourself," Tell me your weaknesses, " etc.
WTF do they want to know? Obviously it has to be work-related...I seriously have no fricken clue what to tell them.
"Hi, I'm Stephanie, I went to school to be a reporter, but since I didn't want to make $17K a year and do the corn reports for the Des Moines CBS affiliate...I decided to pursue Marketing/Advertising." LOL Yeah..I don't think so.
Steph, it doesn't all have to be about work. Many employers value outside activity and clubs. It lets them know that you're personable and active...they like that.
Tell them why you chose your major and then why or how you learned it wasn't the right thing for you. "You found a mktg job and learned that it was something you had a passsion for AND you are extremely successful doing!"
Use the weakness question to express positives...sometimes you pay TOO much attention to detail, You tend to be a perfectionist...these are "weaknesses" b/c sometimes it may cause you to run into a problem with timing (don't tell them that unless they ask tho ;)
*looks down and shakes head*
Well of course. I would never tell them, "Yeah so I'm a stubborn bitch sometimes...so hopefully you guys dont catch me during TTOM." LOL
I thought for the weakness question it could be something like, "Once in a while, I tend focus too much on the details of a project. So now, when I'm working on a project, I always make sure at the end of the day to sit back and take a few minutes to think about the general scope of my work. It forces me to keep priorities straight and helps me keep the right mindset."
Steph, I can understand your where you're coming from. You need to just stay calm and relax. Smile, firm handshake, eye contact, and be yourself. I like Kiki's advice, and just be honest!!
How was your 1st night?

How was your 1st night?
This is a PHONE INTERVIEW. Not in person yet. A lot of companies are doing this now as the first pre-lim to weed out the bad apples.
Good, met a few bitches...but the girl I trained with was a real sweetheart. She wanted to give me some of her tips even. I said absolutely no, but she insisted on buying my dinner. THe place is really laid back I like it.

that sounds really interesting..... lol (sarcasm)
Original Post by tigerlily120:
Kiki-are any of these hundred of types calorie-free?
I haven't gotten to that part yet...but I'll be sure to keep an eye open. Right now I'm finding which are good for baking/frying/chips/blah & blah
