Good Morning Everyone!!! :)  I can tell that hte support from this group is going to be AWESOME, so I am WAY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

Ms. Jayne, you can have Leonard, b/c I have a really bad crush on Andrew Zimmern (yes, the Bizarre Foods guy).. I don't know what it is about that man, but he DRIVES ME WILD!!!!  I do have a great bf (who is incredibly supportive and going to hop on sobe w/ me once I am on Phase II),  but my bf would be in trouble if i ever ran into Andrew...

This morning I stepped on the scaled and was at 198, already down 2 lbs! SCORE!

Today's BIG CHALLENGE will be the "Barbecue Lunch" that they are throwing at my work for the 4th- the only thing on the menu I can eat is the burger meat, literally!  I came prepared though, bringing some salad and a sugar free pudding!  The key to the first phase is just plowing through it to kill those cravings and jump start the weight loss!

Hope everyone has a FABULOUS day!

Casey

The onederland trumpets woke me this morning - a new member?!
See how quietly she tried to do sneak in with:

"Weight this a.m. 199.1. Laughing
Have a good day everyone!"

::grabs Dellas arm and drags her round the town::

Della!   Della, della, della, della, della, della, della!
And I get to tell everyone I know her!!!

Karen - thats pretty awesome to!! All this TOM but the last three weeks youve been 288.5, 286.0, 284.5 - its as if TOM wasnt really here, but I know how the numbers pestered you in between and look at you this morning. Can I have a "Yay-men"? Yaymen!

Casey- so good to not be the only fanatic and congrats on landing that loss ALREADY!  Didnt you just start LOL?  Be strong today - youre doing so well already and your plan sounds solid (SF pudding ,mmmmmm).  This is bootcamp week and the stricter you are, the more you max out this loss for next Thursday.  Wonderful about bf joining you.  I could only have one who is forgiving of my Leonard/Spock thing but if he got a blue Enterprise shirt, Id be at his mercy anyway Wink

And me happy happy 171.0. Did laundry last night and my fav shirts, close fitting hoodies because theyve showed that my stomach lays flat (with the firmer) are not snug anymore and thats without the firmer. O'RLY?  Not snug and w/o the firmer.   As comfy with my stomach as the firmer made me feel, no secret that skin folded underneath took up some space.

I will be at the doctors soon and since I have to shower, become public unsweaty presentable will probably use this as an excuse to stop in stores and get some walking in.  So if you dont see me, know Im looking forward to hearing from everyone else and best wishes - hope this is your morning!!

Rachael, it feels amazing -really.  I bought jrs size 11 and 13 pants.  In my high school sr year I was wearing 13s (although the fashionistas would say todays 13 isnt that of 30yrs back which is likely true but to heck to them LOL).  Im all for the later weighin Rachael - work that water. We dont need you reaction from last night - youve otherwise  been working it. Even if it requires a day late post, we can still update the list but with those fluids it may come round today.

While Im out today, anyone is welcome to copy/paste the above with updates that come in - heck you can update it when you report in.

True so to anyone new here - how to lose 17 lbs in a week.

First gain 25 lbs overnight. Literally, June 2nd 176 and  June 3rd 200 lbs from post surgery bloat.
Next plateau for 2 weeks while panicking with that delay it will be a slooooow loss.
Finally have the bloat fluid leave crazily 2-3 lbs daily.

How the heck did I do it? A lot of peeing that last week.

Casey - super proud of you, can just imagine what next Thursday will bring with that commitment!!  Cheering for you already

Jeri - proof not all lbs are created equal. Some just go and some are clingy!!  Great monthly loss though so Hey Hey!

Rachael - I agree wth Karen - when those 25 lbs werent moving, I ended up on a binge. Like you I believe youve said, when Im doing great its self fulfilling making me be good. If tonight isnt a happy weight, wait til morning. Im almost always heavier at night.

Pam I had the same thing happen with the bold - makes me nutty. Learned I sometimes cant unbold it (not that I did to begin with but its carrying over from prior line). Trick is to preview it and then you can unbold - not that one needs bother but just FYI

Hope everyone had a nice day.  Great numbers today.

I had a really tasty dinner tonight.  No meat.  I made this lentil salad with bulgur and  some stir fry veggies to go with it.  I'm not a big fan of lentils, unless I add it to soups, but this recipe was so yummy.  It's quick and not a lot of ingredients.  I had it ready in less than 30 minutes.

Anyone tried Crenshaw?  It's a yellow fruit, in the melon family.  Sorta pink in the middle.  Smells a lot like cantelope.  I cleaned and cut it up and letting it chill a little before I try it.  It was on sale at Walmart for $2.50 and I filled a large tupperware bowl.  I'll have to call my grandson over to help me eat it.

Ahhh, Jayne, so that's the secret.  Peeing, Wink

Have a good evening.

Id never even heard of crenshaw and Im a walmart regular. My asian market (H-Mart) has a produce section Ive never seen elsewhere - the variety is off the chart.  The variety of produce I know and then overwhelmingly items Ive never heard of.

They have one melon Im assuming, saw one cut in sections, that makes watermelons look like a grape.  Its covered in these weird bumps.  I go for the specials which include my mushrooms that otherwise would break me - 1.49 for 8oz.  My omelletes would be REALLY cheap without them but eh, still reasonable.

I love how you precut your melon.  It makes it so much user friendly when considering choices and theres melon ready to eat :D  I had to be older to appreciate mom precutting grapefruit sections and leaving them in the grapefruit halve ready to eat.  Bet grandsom will come to appreciate your touch with that too!

sun; thank you for letting me wait till today to post weight. 181 even.

work is hectic, this is my busy few months, plus have to leave for a week, for meetings, but they put us up in a fancy hotel, with meals, so I enjoy my room and not cleaning it.  It's fun to not have to make the bed, leave coffee cups sitting around and come back at night to a tidy room.  Last time I had a suite, but doubt that ever happens again.  Had fun ordering room service and deciding at which table to eat.  May use facilities to exercise, but hate going strange places alone, so never do that.

Was going to weigh last night but didn't get home till after 7 pm.  Have a holiday today, yay, but had to finish up stuff, so I wasn't guilt ridden these 3 days.  Working late throws my meals off.  I find junk at work to eat then have dinner too late at night.  But it doesn't happen that often, so I deal with it.  I'd take a power bar, but I never know in advance if I'll feel like staying late.  Sometimes I just leave and can't face being there one more minute.  Other times I get involved and just stay till I'm ready to keel over.

Meals these 3 days? hmmm.  I plan on lots of salads.  had to laugh yesterday as everyone knows I'm trying to lose weight and a lady came into my office carrying 2 bowls.  I thought 'oh, good, a tasty snack' even tho I usually turn things down.  She put it on my desk and it was a heaping bowl of cooked carrots, with a little butter.  I've never eaten such huge quanitity of them.  But have to admit it tasted good.

will go look at suns list of foods for ideas.  Now that I have 3 days, and my own bathroom will plan to drink drink drink water the entire time.  It's dark and rainy looking (of course) so don't know abut outside exercise, but have plenty inside I could do.  I have to force myself to keep on the move and not plop in front of the TV.

have a great day.  Anyone else off today?

Good morning everyone.  Okay okay my weight is 196.6.  Not as bad as I thought it was.  I had a moment of panic LOL.  can I blame some of it on tom who made an appearance.

Rachel that is so nice that you have support at work.  Nope Im staying close to home and dont want to brave the holiday traffic.

Welcome all you newbies to the thread .  Its great to have you.

Crenshaw?   Looks like Ill have to google later today.  Sounds interesting.

***gives high fives to everyone***

Time for my wake up coffee cause Ive got lots of yard work to do today.

Oh yea some one asked what I grew in my garden a while back.  Zucchini....yellow squash...,strawberries... black berries...several varieties of tomatoes... green peppers.  now for trees..peach...plum....pear...persimon...oran ge.  I cant seen to grow and apple Ive tried five times and they all die.  Next year Ill be trying other stuff to.

It's after lunch already.  Where did the morning go?  Never mind,  I know....I was playing YoVille on Facebook.

Jayne, I looked up Crenshaw melon and found it.  I had some mid morning.  Nice and sweet.  Much better than cantaloupe.  I love grapefruit, but can't eat it because I'm taking Lipitor Frown

Rachel, I keep a bar in my purse, for those times when I need something before I make it home.  Are you going next week?  I managed 20 minutes on the treadmill today.

Sarah, see, that didn't hurt.  You need to check in more often.  I know that keeps me more accountable.

If I don't make it back today, I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July.

Forgot to mention my jury duty.  There was a trial and I was there for 2 hrs, going thru the process, but didn't get picked.  Next week we all return again.  I looked it up and the trial next week is a murder trial.  Oh my, I'm hoping I don't get picked for that one.  Sorta scary to me.  I don't think we have the death penalty and I'm against it anyway, so if they did, I'd have to be excused.  Oh, I just looked it up and we do have it in KY.  Not sure if this one meets the criteria though.

Oh, I'm going now.

Pam....I get called for jury duty so many times my hubby calls it "jeri duty" lol...I end up on a lot of juries too...the last case was a murder trial with 3 gang members as defendants...I asked to be dismissed when the judge identified our business name when he was questioning me in front of the whole court...it freaked me out so bad that those creeps knew where our store was that I had to meet in the judge's chambers and got the heck out of that trial...I'm so glad I did cuz the trial took several months...and I haven't been called back since....... I keep my melon cut up with strawberries and grapes in the fridge too...my son loves fruit...especially the tuscan melon....so sweet....

I'm having overnite company for the 4th so I'm busy busy today...the steaks are marinating...salmon dip is made (with my fresh dill from my garden) lettuce is cleaned...Caesar dressing made...mushrooms are cooking in heavy garlic yum....my friend Janet is bringing potato salad and desert...I told her I was serving fruit for desert and if she wanted sugar she would have to bring it...she is and my husband is delighted....my treat is going to be my big glass of zin .... yummmmmmm...and hopefully that's it!

Good luck everyone who chooses to stay on track tomorrow and Happy 4th of July to all!

getfit:  I would LOVE your garden.  Do you can or freeze the extra?  the stuff I buy just isn't as good as i know it should be directly from a garden.

pam:  I tend to eat anything in my purse or drawer at work, so can't really keep things on hand, unless I specifically buy it for a purpose.  I hate to pay for a power bar.  Wish I could make a really healthy cookie.  I have sort of by leaving out most of the sugar, adding grains, etc.  but love ago.  That does give me an idea to make something like that this weekend.  In fact I have a bag of grains in my freezer I bought and it may have freezer burn, but I could add it, and see.  Maybe if they don't taste that good, I won't gobble them all at once.

jsh, I want to come to dinner.  if you notice a woman peering into your yard with a hopeful, hungery look, that's me.  I love eating fresh, healthy, homegrown things.

theres a farmers market I could go to this a.m., but would mean 50 miles extra driving and I'm sick of driving.

well, I did it.  I attribute it to cutting back, limiting carbs and drinking 65 oz of water yesterday.  Weight 179.4 and it wasn't easy (but do I need to tell YOU that)

Came across some old advice from different ppl on CC, since I first joined and loved this.

'If thin were easy everyone would be thin.'

I'm having a high carb lunch at my cousins today, but can't pass up chance to eat with family.  Hope I can be careful the rest of the day. Riding my bike today, so hope that helps.

Happy 4th of July.

Pam I hope you get a nice mild easy case that gets solved in a day :) and I would love to taste crenshaw melon but I know how much I love melon and I think that would be a trigger for me so I will live vicariously through you!!!

Sarah  I love zucchini and squash .. your garden sounds dreamy!

Jeri I would have freaked as well.. Gee ty mr judge for telling them where to find me after this is all over!!!!

Rachel WOOT and double WOOT .. hello 7's for you !!!!  and  I think that

'If thin were easy everyone would be thin.'   is 100% true

I woke up this morning to a better number :)  282  and I know its all that extra walking I did yesterday and I increased my ratio of protein to veggies.  was not getting enough protien so that has been upped.  Had to add back in meats.. no more just fishing it.  I could not get the calories or the protein levels I needed.  So now I add some BBQ pork or beef to my omletes and salads and usually still have fish once a day so I can do that .

Hello everyone;

Sorry I was mia but the last couple days were very hectic and this is the very first time I've even sat at my computer.

Pam: hope your jury selection will be easy and extremely brief.  I have never been selected for any type of jury duty, which I'm so grateful for.

Jayne: I'll celebrate with you this week if my weight stays in onelander land.  I've been 199 or 198 and the very next week my my weight would be right back up again.  And congrats on your excellent reading! Way to go!

Karen: have the capelin landed yet?  We've not seen any this way yet.

Pam: the crenshaw sounds yummy.  I'll have to look for some the next time I'm in Corner Brook.  I'm on face book too and haven't got a clue how on earth you earn money to buy things in Yoville.  Do you also have a farm in Farmtown?  I'm addicted to that one.  I just love growing things.

Take care everyone

Della
