Hey ladies,

tired today.  Had a tough session in the gym last night, and my trainer warned me not to eat a whole lot before I go in tonight!!

Weighed myself today for the first time in about 3 weeks!!  I'm up 5lbs [eeeekk!!!!].  SO far today I've been good - no naughty stuff!!!

so how is everyone else doing??
I'm not going to over eat today that has been my problem this weekend and yesterday.  the food is good for me but My portions are out of control.  Desperate to regain control today.  MOderation Moderation.... is my motto today  dont feel bad Gina Im up 2 lbs. hoping that will come off in a big chunk like the holiday weight did.  One can always try!!!
I'm up about 5lbs sarah!!!!  But was very bad last week!!!  so think it has shocked me back into healthy eating!!!!

No sign of stanley yet.  Im sure Ashton will come bounding in the door when It gets here.  I freaked over the holiday gain and then it was suddenly gone.... weird.  Im sure our extra lbs will come off that way too.  THinking Im pre TOM also so that could be a factor.  I just have get through each day this week with in my cal limits and no going over

 

I think I am temporarily rebelling against veggies .... so far today I've had Kashi Go Lean cereal and 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond breeze ... twice. I will probably have another bowl or two this afternoon.

I suppose I may eat real food for dinner ... but I definitely have first-day-of-TOM cramps and the overall winter-blues "oogies."  I tried walking on the treadmill to see if it would help the cramps, and it didn't. Maybe I will try again in a little while ... especially since I've upped my weekly treadmill goal starting this week.

It's hard to stay enthused about eating healthy when you know your body has turned into a water-absorbing sponge and the scale will reflect that.

Think I will stay in my jammies all day.

Sarah, I misread your post and thought you said you werent going to eat today LOL.  Hope Rachael youve got some soft food to help with your throat.  With last weeks gain and less activity this week (and food - yikes).  I snapped on Friday and dont even want to go weigh in Thursday.  I already gained a pound being good last week.  So how do we go about putting off Valentines Day?  Molly, hang in there through that and get comfy. 

Hi ladies, I have a few questions I thought maybe you could answer.  I started the SBD and am on day 9 of Phase 1.  Here's my questions:

Is sugar freee Jello an allowed treat on Phase 1.  I checked the ingredients and it doesn't have any high fructose corn syrup and only 1 gram of fat.

What are the best low fat nut choices?  I love nuts and actually stayed away from them previously because of their fat content.  My problem now is that I have to limit myself of I find that I am eating way too many.

One of my favorite Chinese dish is Shrimp with Broccoli (I don't eat the rice).  I also had this for dinner last night but can't find it in the food list anywhere.  I went on the web and couldn't come up with the food information.  Was this a no-no?  Without the rice, wouldn't it be okay for Phase 1?

 Is it normal for your weight to flucuate.  The first 6 days, I didn't lose anything then on the 7th morning, I was doen 4 lbs.  Now, 2 days later I am back up 1 lb and am wondering if it could be the pudding I ate last night :-).

Hi wings yes sugarfree jello is allowed.  Most nuts have a lot of fat but its not all bad fat.  I like  almonds and a good one to try are pistachios still in the shell you can have 30 and it takes longer to shell them so it seems like your eating a lot.  I over endulge in nuts to so I limit them and for goodness sake dont hold the can while your watching T/V LOL...it gets me every time.  Shrimp and broccoli if fine but what kind of sauce is on it?  Its normal to go up and down.  especially if your a woman (darn TOM).  Welcome aboard.

Good morning to everyone  I was so good yesterday and happy that all is back to normal.  Went shooping and got all sorts of healthy food even an eggpplant, wish me luck on preparing it tonight.

Sorry, I hate Jello (hospital memories).  I meant Jello pudding.  It's been a long morning already and it's only 7:45. 

 The shrimp with broccoli is from the Chinese place so I'm not exactly sure what's on it.  I am assuming it is a worchester/terriaki sauce.  It is brown but not like gravy.  I end up dumping most of the sauce from it because it's usually way too much.  I would think it's similar to the Beef and chicken with broccoli dishes if you've ever had that.

I know what you mean about nuts, I can eat half a can easily if I am eating straight from the container.  I will try the pistachios.

Had a good day yesterday!!  ate no crap & went to the gym!!!!

Had drama this morning though - I left the lights on in my car last night and as you can imagine it was as flat as a pancake this morning!!!!!

My dad had to come over and jump start it.  Was late for work (didnt get intil 10.45am) but had rang at 8.15 to let them know!!

Must get him something nice as a thank you!!
technically SF pudding isn't allowed in phase 1.  however I don't think it will hurt you.  If your looking for a chocolate fix the no sugar added fudge pops are great.  I just bought a box and I always forget there allowed.  It might be hard to have one if your at work though.  Phase one is only two weeks you can make it.  If your life is like mine temptation is in every direction.  Right now there's a box of cup cakes talking to me saying eat me(grandmas are great for kids but not for people trying to lose weight)LOL.  I have a hard time eating at a Chinese place cause of those darn mystery sauces.  lots of sodium also maybe its causing you to retain water.  Happy beaching for the rest of the day!!!!
Morning Gina BUmmer about the car.  Congrats on the healthy eating yesterday.  I think the weekend is the worst for me.  especially when the hubby is home.  I eat so badly,  Then its back on track during the week.  Thank goodnes for this thread and all of you.((((HUGS))))
sarah - I think the weekends are the worst for me too - no routine!!

Rachel - yeah glad my folks dont live too far away.  I moved out so that I could have some "me" space, but i am glad I dont live too far away from them either!!!  But with all the moving, I forgot my scales and hence no weighing for 3 weeks - wont be letting that happen again!!!!
Oh my gosh girls, I have been SO SICK!  Its been easy to eat well because I can't taste a goddam thing.  haha.

Morning girls,

so yesterday I went waaaaaaayyyyyyy over my calorie allowance!!  the thing is though it was mainly good food that I was eating, although there were a new naughty thing, like pancakes with sugar & lemon juice - yum!!  My friend made some (she is practising for Shrove Tuesday aka Pancake Tuesday) and its not like I could refuse (ok, i could have but i didnt want to)!!

Went to go and donate blood yesterday with my friend.  After waiting for an hour, I was told that I couldnt donate coz my iron level was too low!!  :(

So I had to wait while she gave blood, and then had a packet of crisps and 2 twix minis when she was finished.  And then went back to her apartment for tea and pancakes!!

Well I guess today is a new day.

Weighed in this morning at 138! :'(
