No lunch at the house tomorrow - meeting at a restaurant so she doesnt have to waste 15 min both way from her lunch hour to get here. Called the restaurant she mentioned which has healthy plates so Im good.
This thursday is not only weigh in but for my 300+ lb thread the monthly weighin so Im trying to be extra good this week. Like you Sarah, its a mystery til I get myself to the scale. Are you planning to replace yours - its interesting with the mystery until you arrive, what will be your weight as opposed to an easy check at home.
Im getting paranoid about that rat and thinking its going to jump out at me while Im doing house work. Cant wait for night to come so I can set out the traps.
Jayne I dont think Im going to buy one for a while. Not weighing myself every day is making more aware of what I eat, so not to get a bad report when I do weigh in.
Sarah, wishing you a well earned 'push' for Thursday :D with such dedication on your part :D. Silly but feels cool to have someone also in suspense til weigh day. None of those normal up and down numbers either - just a week of working towards revelation number.
Morning BTW. I feel good but a little bloated. Looking forward to tomorrows weigh in cause I feel thinner(or maybe its all in my head)
Silly naps yesterday had me pull an all nighter. Kiki left the stairs and her upstairs trashed. I finally got around to attacking it and only got 1/3 thru. Granted for years I wasnt able to walk, no less clean so I really backed off her so this is a longtime accumulation of a disaster. Already sorting out stuff for a pending garage sale. Granted I tried to make her take care of it mutliple times but defiance was much of why she's with her dad who wouldnt make her do it. At least Im getting a workout out of it with several to come until I get it under control.
Lunch date and one prev coworker I met with Sunday is coming over here so we can surprise the second prev coworker. At least the house is presentable and without it being trashed, its finally worth cleaning. Love living in the downstairs now - always hated the constant mess.
Hay!
Just a quick report - Phase 1 going well. Had a really good day yesterday plus went for a quick 2 mile run. Weight still at 153 but I think this could be because of the bung up. Have got some gentle laxitives and started it at lunch (fingers crossed). Chilli was good last night and some left over for tonight so I'm doing well - Menu still looking like -
Breakfast - Scrambled egg with cherry tomatos and spinach
Snack - Low fat cheese with 8 almonds
Lunch - Tuna and cottage cheese salad with broad beans, some plain low fat yogurt and a glass of milk
Snack - 7 almonds
Dinner - Chilli with sour creme (low fat of course). Some yogurt
Is that still ok?
Went upstairs to do laundry and with so much left to do, still scary up there. Knowing when Im done will probably have to hire someone to come in behind me.
Not picking the restaurant for lunch but shoot, I'll find somethimg not to screw up tomorrow. Ive become highly aware of the high salt of restaurant food - its predictable because people crave it and owners want diners to come back.
Otherwise I eat for breakfast what I would eat for lunch or dinner. Regarding hunger, phase1 is supposed to have up to two cups veg at breakfast. Not always easy for everyone but something to shoot for. Even a phase1 friendly TV dinner is an option.
Calorie counting wouldnt have been affected by including carbs weight loss wise although I could see in some folks it affecting them hunger wise, especially if they werent whole grain (again not an issue for everyone). One factor may have been being so close to goal - at that point, more of a struggle. I also wonder if although calorie counting, you were still at a higher total than when on SB since the plan tends to naturally run low cal without as many carbs. If anything, phase1 has been known to kick people off plateaus. Since your just starting, we weigh in on Thursdays if youre interested.
So weighing in at 130lbs today. Have started training for a sprint Trithalon in September. Have given the marathon idea a miss I think because firstly dont think I'll be ready and secondly my knee is still acting up a bit. Did swimming yesterday - 20 laps. It was tough!
How is everyone doing??
Sarah, how is the whole rat situation?
Jayne, hope your lunch goes well!!
Hi!
So things are going well. Start of week 2 on Phase 1 and I am totally proving my boyfriend wrong! He said I couldn't do it, HA! Still a bit bunged although am having fibre drinks now so things are starting to move although serious amounts of wind! (sorry to be disgusting - did anyone else have these problems while doing this). Missing the fresh taste of fruit so can't wait to get back on that next week. Weight still the same (total of 4lb so far and has been the same since last Friday!) am I doing something wrong?
Nice job on the trithalon - very impressive!
Gina the rat problem has resolved its self. The cat got it and my kids found it(gross). I disposed of it. funny thing is my cat caught another mouse too which she took out side her self. I wonder how long shes been bringing live stuff in the house(freaks me out to think about it) The open gap in my window is now shut so hopfully she wont bring any more in EEWW!!!
Rachel youve been doing great.... even with you on vacation. The 160's is just around the corner. phase one will give you a good jump start!
Thanks to everyone who replied!
Thank you also for the welcome to weigh in. Since I just started yesterday, (and weighed myself then) I will wait until next Thursday.
Right now I am 140. I would like to get down to 125 by mid summer. Right now I will be happy with 135 by May 14. (I leave for Italy and my summer clothes are particularly snug!!)
Rachael, I laughed at your comment of someone on the scale with you! We know you know how to drop the recent gains and new 'clean' groceries will be a boost for you too.
Smart Gina not to risk your knee - swimming should be easier on your knee. Stephie, I never dealt with gas from SB. Also sounds like your doing right - your body might be settling after the 4 lb drop. Keep up the good work - thinking next Thurs will look good for you!
Sarah, looking forward to seeing how you do - youve earned a bump and I know low as you are its harder but youve put the time in so really wishing results for you!
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
