Sarah, last thursday you were 162 - way to phase1 those lbs off with a leap!  Mucho happy for you!  I could just tell by your post how determined you were and glad to see your earned reward come thru.

True about scientology - I can still remember the Clearwater building.  The celeb money branched it out to Hollywood.   In the 80s, I was in the city next to Clearwater when two other things started there - Hooters restaurant and Home Shopping Network where I worked after college (HSN, not Hooters :P).  Know you'll knock those vacation lbs off like youve done before.

Kristen, glad your aboard and here to support you with your Italy goal!
Stephie -

just an FYI, if that Fiber doesnt help enough I wanted to mention the Smoth Move tea my friend brought me worked very well.  It was more reactive than pills and didnt cramp me like the pills.  If you pursue it, its important to cover it for 15 minutes after you put in the teabag.

Thanks very much for the advice. I live in the UK and have not seen the tea around - searched on the internet and it may take about a week to come in the post, may consider it. On better news the extra fiber suppliment and some flax seeds with breakfast is (kind of) starting to work! Phew I feel much better. Still on phase 1 though - only 4 days to go!

sarah - congrats on the weight loss!!  Well done!!!  You'll b at 150 before you know it!!
Morning everyone or is afternoon already,  My internet was down so i couldnt do any thing then I got busy cleaning.  YAY for all the dropped weight.

Rachel thats a great drop you have.  Enjoy that walk.  Im thinking of doing the same.  Im feeling house bound.

Jayne its got to be sodium from all the restaurants.... you ever wonder why they feel the need to put so much in that stuff.  Youll do great next week.

YAY steph only 4 more days and you can have an apple LOL

WELCOME KRISTEN BTW I didnt mean to not tell you that!!!

Gina... good for maintaining at least its not gaining.  I feel like thats all Ive been doing since Christmas just bouncing around the same 5 lbs.  It does get frustrating.  What was your goal I forget
Sounds like a postcard Rachael!  That some drop on the vacation weight.  I could put you at 184 or 180 for yesterday unless youd rather skip entirely.

I had a TV dinner for breakfast LOL.  So easy!  Almost went back to the clinic to reweight but ah - let it go, next Thursday will come and it will make balance out plus even better odds with another week under my belt.

Feeling like a grown up, Im forcing myself to clean the litterbox (blech!) so I will be able to keep Gigi.  She is like my shadow but better, when I get up to go somewhere she's already got down by my direction which room and is off to it also.

just finished my third week...just a lb. in the 3 rd. week but 11 so far....i am still staying away from all bread products  because they are trigger items...and the fruit is just 2 pieces a day...ill gradually re-introduce as time goes on.......i found a product in the korean grocery that is " whole buckwheat noodles" they are individually wrapped per serving (180 cals) and thats good for me who can mess up with the proper serving amount....lol..what is whole buckwheat???  thanks D

Thanks Rachael - 182 it is!  What a surreal day its been.  This morning my brother Gary calls, hes 20 minutes from my house and has my brother Mark from South TX with him and there off to fish with my last brother an hour away from me.  I saw Gary once in 2003 and once in 2000, Mark not since 2000.

I had only an hour with them as they were checking out a nursing facility to bring my mom to from FL AND probably will be June 1st - Hello!  Good to know as Ive been planning for months to go there to see her this or next month and she will shortly live 15 minutes from my house.  We are weird siblings - theres not an ounce of bad blood between us yet we rarely are in touch (not my preference).  So seeing them and in a month, Mom coming here - what a weekend kickoff!

Then theres my sis who two brothers wont talk to - she moved to FL by my mom and doesnt know about it.  Oh the drama but Im very happy mom will be here and there are more people who can visit her, especially me as working from home.
I hadnt even put it together Sarah but even eating well while there, I did restaurant 3x between weigh in so the sodium thing would make sense.  Im still so happy for you - I know how these recent lbs were stubborn and thought this has to be Sarahs week!

Bigdee - how convenient to find those individual serve noodles and whole buckwheat should mean that the hull is included in in the ground buckwheat flour (similar to whole wheat flour in good breads including the hull).  Because they dont remove the fiber your less likely to deal with cravings that follow up/down  blood sugar of processed flour carbs (assuming youve any carb sensitivity).  Would love to hear how they do for you.

Stephie, now that things are moving along :D thinking your weight loss will return - I wouldnt have imagined it to be the case until experiencing it myself.  Rachael, did you get rained out for your walk?
As obvious an option as it sounds now, I didnt even think of sis considering moving here.  Her daughter just returned to NJ where she'd moved from and her longterm boyfriend moved to AZ but they both highly travel working for his company so I was wondering about those two states.  Seems so funny I hadnt thought of TX since she already did FL for mom.  This puts another interesting twist on things.  An aside, Im not to say anything because to be fair sis does tend to dramatize and complicate (although in her shoes having moved to FL, I might too).

The weather sounded like a beast Rachael but with things to do, seems like the rain's timing worked out.  Hadnt heard of Clegg but could be a creative way to adjust back on track (and I understand the coming back from vacation transition).

BTW Sarah, the current May 6th People magainze ("Worlds Richest Kids" cover with Miley Cyrus) has a  page article (pg 138) on Lisa Lillean - Hungry Girl.
Ive opened all the windows to get oxygen in the house.  I like to take advantage of spring and fall to do this because winters out and in summer, I can only bare it temp wise when it rains.  The breeze though made me pull out my flannel pajamas AND flannel.  Still, very reasonable temp and think its the serious breezes coming through the house.

My house is so grocery stocked and in bulk that it makes me very concious of how little I eat - not too little of course but one person only makes a small dent in the packed pantry and fridge.  Plus so many choices, guess Im so used to running low on fridge (remembers all my "I MUST go grocery shopping" posts).

Funny thing is the sounds from outside make me not want to be home but much work related stuff to take care of.  Still, nicer to do with this openness since Im usually closed window, closed shades working.  Have my ongoing upstairs work to do and its not just cleaning but sorting because Im separating for the king of all garage sales.  Least its activity.
Going to have serious temptation today.  Going to a Bday party where there is sure to be cake.  Its going to be hard to keep myself away from it.  I already want some LOL.  Thinking Im going to take sugar free popsicles to eat instead and hope it works.

Rachel I looked up that cook book... the only thing I saw that I questioned was the desserts(I only looked at three of them).  They didn't look low cal to me at all.  They did look yummy though and I would make them if I was maintaining.  I quess it being dessert it is not supposed to be low cal.  My problem is I don't think i could stick to just one serving. Id eat half of it being the pig that I am when it comes to sweets.  Bummer about the storm messing up your outing.  I took the kids to the park it was nice evening and it wore them out.  We all slept till 8AM this morning It was really nice for a change.
The number of carb grams would be a good question for Molly (who's off to Alaska) - what Ive done is counted what I consider servings of carbs through out the day.  Two fruits for sugars and for starches, sometimes none, sometimes up to three.

Without pictures, cookbooks just look like a wall of text to me and I agree about the photos - you can tell by looking pretty much if you'll like it.  Is it drying out there yet Rachael?

Bday cake would be no temptation unlike pie, brownies or cookies.  Curious to see how it goes Sarah and youve the week to work with it either way.
Morning.  I had a blast at the party and I did manage to stay away from the cake.....I also had two huge mixed drinks called a citris fizz.  They were so good and I dont want to know how much sugar was in them.  I was having such a good time I forgot that alcohol is a no no ..... not till later though.  So while I cheated it wasnt too bad and I dont regret it.  Back on the wagon today.

Rachel glad another two pounds came off.... youll be back to normal soon.
