Rachael, youve got the after vacation weightloss down like a science!  Good job on two more lbs.  I got up some crazy hour and have been cleaning/sorting for 6 hours upstairs and I still think combined with prev efforts, Im only halfway thru.  The belt snapped on the vacuum or I'd probably still be up there but it was sign for a break and FOOD! 

Good timing for those drinks Sarah - just 2 days past weigh in.  Good luck with today and going forward - hope your enjoying those 150s!  Wonder how phase2 is treating Stephie.

I hadn't been online in a while, (computer problems!) but wanted to check in.  Thank you for the welcome, Sarah.  (I am assuming that I am right in your name...looking over the posts!)

Weekend has gone well (mostly).  Day 5 of Phase 1... I am afraid to get on the scale though. I think that I am going to wait until Thursday.  I feel thinner and I dont want anything to ruin that.  Tomorrow is my bday, and my bf an I are going to my parents to celebrate.  Although I love cake, I am really hoping that they dont have one! I had 2 glasses of wine last night, that was my cheat. 

Everyone here seems so supportive.  It seems like it will be a nice way to check in and hear about other's progress.  I know firsthand that weight loss is one of the most frustrating things, and people who don't understand it can never truly get how much effort goes into it (even during "bad" weeks). 

I hear ya kristen about some people not understanding how much effort goes into this.  Its really hard for me to make healthy choices all day every day.... and right here is a great place for support even if you do slip up. 

Haha Jayne no more drinks for me  I was so focused on not eating that cake that I didnt think of the dangers of drinks in till after I had them.  Im being very good today no side effects from the drinks craving wise.  It must have gotten got out of my system while I was sleeping
Kristin, this thread is a continuation of one that ran Aug thru Dec 2007 and its been daily for us.  Its basically become my journal or even a shared journal.  I can see how a birthday could interfere with phase1 (its your birthday!) so however you decide to handle it, enjoy it and tell us about it!

Well, I crashed after posting so may be up late tonight.  Eating schedule is way off though, working to long this morning without eating /bad and than sleeping but Im not concerned about the late eating- its all in the same day.

Yeah Sarah on back on track - its just a blip on your progress.  And Rachael, transitioning back to diet mode yet 6 lbs already of it gone.  Wow! 
Good morning!  Im so bloated from going out to eat last night.  I had grilled chicken and broccoli but the salt content had to be really high or something.  I hope I go back to normal today

Rachael, do you standard lettuce or a special lettuce to make them?  I think the one Chili's use's is called Boston or Bibb lettuce but really costlier. 

No late night after all, ended up falling asleep without expecting it.  Guess I was more sleep deprived than I thought.  I actually have to fight my desire to stay up late, from way back when I was the first of 5 kids sent off to bed. Still one of my favs the feeling of getting up way early while still dark and the worlds asleep like getting a jump on the day. 

Where's our Gina at?  Sarah, knowing you had such a strong bump still hoping your good work pays off Thursday.  Do you feel like youve adjusted to not being able to weigh in at home?  Okay, I may be too curious about Stephie but that transition from phase1 to 2 is an adjustment so curious how its going.  Good eating everybody!
It terrifies me not to weigh myself but once a week.  The not knowing drives me nuts, but it does make me work harder during the week.  Going shopping today for food and clothes for the kids(and maybe myself).  I love that I burn extra cals just shopping for a couple of hours.
I agree about it being a push too not knowing - Thursdays become a minigoal each week. 
Im curious about the shredded turkey meat.  Is that like shaved luncheon meat and who makes it? Will be off to buy a vacuum belt later so I can again tackle the upstairs.  An added perk is  discovering all the things brought up there that belonged in different rooms as in "So THATS where my .... was!"

I love those creative things you see on Food Channel, particularly the how its made on All Wrapped Up (or whatever that shows called). 

Thank you for the bday wishes.  The day is going well so far.  I am enjoying a salad, so that I can save some room for possibly a treat later.

BTW - the fiberone yogurt is pretty good.  My grocery store already has it.  Can't have any for the next week and a half, phase one!  But I am looking forward to returning to it.  I believe that it has 5 grams of fiber.  The weight watcher yogurt also has fiber, but it's a bigger container with more sugar, so i usually eat the fiber one.

Regarding the weigh-ins, I hate it when I feel good and then weigh myself and not see any difference!

I almost forgot - last week was when I gained that mystery lb and then today my period starts so not so sure about comeback Thursday but for two weeks I just have to be down. 

Today had a great new TV Dinner - Smart Ones Creamy Parmesan Chicken (220cal) which was WOW.  Somewhat small but with much sauce so I poured it all over cooked chopped broccolli as its mostly chicken and brocolli already.  Definitely worth looking into!
I sick of chicken too.  Its time break out the fish.  I didnt used to like fish and gagged at the thought of it..... that was intill I found that I liked saltwater fish its much more mild.  And laughing cow cheese is so good on anything.

The smart one has 14 carbs, 3 fiber so net 11but no actual rice, pasta, etc - chicken & brocolli with some red/ yellow pepper strips. That and SmartOne beef/ asian veg are so good with no starches, will have to check them out further.  Plus often on sale.   Im with you on the deli meat, only like it thin shaved

Ive resisted laughing cow.  They are super popular at CC but I think theyre pricy and small (in Walmart, Ive only see the round ones).  Got a wedge of salmon for dinner tonight.  Started cutting it in thick slices and individullly bagging/ freezing them - very handy for one person.

Got a $10 certificte to Hallmark from when they did flowers and cant imagine a thing I'd buy in their store - Im too practical.  Sure cards but we have good cards at the dollar store so will be looking for something else but not knickknack like since Im clearing stuff out of my house now.

Its been a long weekend here - bankholiday yesterday!  So how has everyone been doing??

Went a bit mad at the weekend and did some baking!!  Made some bran muffins (which actually arent too bad), some falafels and salsa to go over my pasta (made the salsa not the pasta - lol!).

So all set for a healthy week!!  I have 1 mini goal which is 125 which I hope to hit by June 7th (have a wedding that day).

Hope everyone is well and healthy!!  Jayne, that is so cute about Gigi following you like a shadow!!  I bet you enjoy the company!!

Rachael - the holiday weight seems to have dropped off you so quickly!!  Well done!

Sarah - Hope you got rid of your bloat!! Did you end up buying anything nice for yourself after??

good morning.quick question   i'm in my fourth week and things are good...however......the "salt cravings" have returned....ive had to keep my teenage daughers potato chips in the garage so i dont go out late at nite " to raid the garage!!"  lol......i know water is suggested.but i wonder why this has happened after 4 weeks....thanks D

I just noticed a postit to myself from this weekend my sis telling me she is pretty sure today was Alice (from my profile) Birthday today.  Meant to check before today but texted her daughter to check.  Hah - was yesterday's Hallmark cert in the mail a sign?  If I dont find something, the xmas idea is great! 

Youre getting married Gina?  Just kidding! I think hitting or even getting close to that goal will make you feel extra great about dressing up for event and how you'll look. 

The great thing about 260-300 recipes is they allow room for accompanying items in a meal or bigger snack later.  BTW are you thinking tomorrow is Thursday for weigh-in or perhaps just holding off til Wednesday.

Boy is it storming - still a bit dark with the clouds.  Not a good day to shop around and Alice was coming by today so perfect for giving her something in addition to the Hallmark thing but lousy for shopping.  Might need to see if I can put her off a day, especially since Im not sure what I'll get her.
