I haven't been a member long, nor have I posted frequently but I felt like sharing my news.
Through some careful dieting and tons and tons of exercise
Since Feb 07 I have lost 108 lbs leaving me now at 120 lbs (yes!!) I've gone from a size 24 to a size 4 and I feel fantastic!
The funniest (stupidest) things make me giddy. Two weeks ago went out to eat for the first time in quite sometime and I have to admit I ordered a pretty heafty breakfast
and the waitress says "It's you tiny ones that always eat the most"
I about giggled myself silly.
Such a change to be viewed as one of those "skinny girls".
Anyway, after being heavy a good portion of my life my weight loss has left me with huge amounts of saggy skin it's really rather disgusting.
But, No more! This coming monday I go under the knife
having a full tummy tuck, butt/outter thigh lift (essentially just removing extra skin from my hiney) and a breast lift/implants.
I'm so excited and incredibly nervous the closer it gets to Monday the crazier I get about it. All the last min details to think of and handle but I'm sure it will all be well worth it in the end!
Has anyone else had these procedures? Any advice?
WOW that is amazing. Congratulations big time. I couldn't imagine losing all that weight and then having the skin afterwards. Good for you for taking the steps to take care of it. I hope everything goes okay and take it easy on yourself after all that surgery. Good luck!!!!!!
edited to add: you look amazing by the way
Congratulations. That is really amazing. I also wish you good luck with the surgery and a speedy recovery.
Since we had the same start weight, I am curious if you had extra/flabby skin at 140 lbs. Thats my goal weight and Im wondering if I will have the same problem?
I can't speak to the surgery but I had to congratulate you on your fantastic weight loss! Enjoy every minute of being on of the "skinny girls".

I had a some yes, but not nearly as noticable or severe as it is now. Everyone's skin reacts differently to weight loss, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that yours has more elasticity than mine did ![]()
Actually it's kind of funny, from just above my breast up and from below mid thigh all of my skin is tight no sagging at all (thankfully) .
and Thanks all!! It's nice to be able to talk to people that understand where I'm coming from.
Congratulations!!! That's really inspiring!
That's Great!
QUESTION:
Do you know of any ways that we can help keep our skin from going that way as we loose the weight?
For me, I live in Japan and try to go to the Onsen (Hot Springs Spa) once a week. It usually consists of soaking in a Hot Spring, Then a dip in cold water and then a 10 minute sit in the sauna (at 90 degrees Celcius). I do this about three or more times through out a few hours. I think this may help to reduce the excess flabby skin as I loose my weight, but I just started loosing the weight and don't have any medical info to back it up.
THAT IS AWESOME!!! I was bigger than you at my heaviest!! I am now what you weighed in the beginning!! I am hanging around 228 and i am working my way to at least 180 i haven't been under 200 since high school!! So if i make it to 180 i will defintely keep going!! :) Your an inspiration!!
