well meaning boyfriend
My boyfriend is a sweetie, he really is. He means well. He works for Peppridge Farm HQ, and he knows how much I love Goldfish crackers, so he bought me a box the size of my head! I can't stop munching! Goldfish aren't that healthy either. Plus, checking the back of this box....there are 32 servings. That's right 3-2. And in two days the box is nearly empty. Agh! How do I tell him that I love that he got my favorite snack, but he can't because I can't control myself?
Just tell him, seriously. Does he know your on a diet?
But seriously, just tell him that you love him for doing it, but u would prefer it if he didn't. For now anyways.
That reminds me of my boyfriend. He always surprises me with things, except they are foods I shouldn't be eating! For example a month ago he came over with a box of Pop 'Ems and last week bought me a bag of Gummy Bears! ![]()
I have to keep reminding him I'm watching what I eat...
My wife does the same thing. Having a treat in the house every couple of weeks isn't a problem but constantly having 2 or 3 available is a recipe for disaster for me. At least once a month I need to remind her that I can't deal with all the options in the house PLEASE take some of the crap to the office and share!
Definitely tell him. He should understand and appreciate what you're doing for yourself.
No, I would bypass the idea of pre-packaging single servings.... one serving is always sooooo tiny leaving you feeling deprived and tempted to have more after getting that little taste! Best option is to not have them in the house!! Either let yourself finish that bag (maybe get them out when your friends/boyfriend is over so they can share) or give them away. Then just tell him that you are now trying to eat healthier and trying to lose a bit of weight, so don't bring anymore home.... if you feel bad ( and there isn't any reason why you should) then just tell him that he is good enough himself, you don't need crackers! lol!
Yeah, about four days ago my boyfriend brought home a 3.5 pound bag of M&M's from work that were still half full, and I sincerely hope that he's been eating a lot of them, because they're almost gone......
Sure, tell him, but don't offend him because he is being a perfect boyfriend. :) That's so sweet of him to do that. Whenever I receive something like that, I typically hide it from myself, like in the bottom of a drawer, so it's out of sight. out of mind. Tell him you sincerely appreciate the thought, but you hope it's not a regular thing for the sake of your own body. :)
