I probably just ate around 4000 calories, and this will be the first time I've stopped worrying about food and felt satiated in a month. I've been averaging 2000-3000 before this, just because I'm so darn hungry all the time. I run a mile a day, do some ab exercises, 50 push ups and 70 squats daily. I'm 15, 5'5", 140 lbs.

The kicker? I want to lose weight.

WHY am I so hungry? I'm on my period, but I'm never this famished. My appetite usually strikes the week before.

Shameless self bump, because I need some help.

At age 15, your body is still maturing.  Given your age and activity level, you probably need 2600-3000 daily.   If you've been trying to keep to 2000, you're probably hungry because your body needs more food than that.

Rather than attempt to lose weight, I recommend building strength and muscle.  This will make you firmer, better shaped and less flabby. If you post in the fitness forum, folk will give you some good recommendations for exercise programs.

Also, some kinds of foods are better at making you feel full than others.  If you're eating a lot of white bread, cereal and pasta, or soda candy and cookies, those are digested quickly and you get hungry faster. You should be eating plenty of vegetables, protein, and good fat like nuts, avocados and olive oil.  This will help you feel full.

But eat what you need. If you try to undereat, you're body won't let you and you will overeat instead.

You need to eat more protein because it is very satisfying and will keep you full for hours on end so you don't always feel SO HUNGRY! If you eat healthy sources of protein from fish, chicken & turkey breast, eggs, lean red meat & beans you will feel a lot more satisfied!

Egg whites have so few colories, and you can scramble them up with salsa, mushrooms and onions, tons of delscious stuff. Eat them without guilt and feel FULL.
