What's the best time to weigh yourself?

So lately I've been trying to weigh myself as soon as I get up in the morning every Wednesday and Saturday (I have a 6am job so it's usually around 5am I do this).  I do this only because since I haven't eaten anything I figure it gives me the most "accurate" reading off my weight loss since I know body weight can fluctuate throughout the day.  I guess the question is though since for some reason I feel like I am doing a dis-service to myself, am I weighing myself at a good time and if not, when is a good time to weigh myself?

P.S. I know that you should always weigh yourself around the same time to get the most accurate result too.

I weigh myself first thing too - before a cup of tea & after the loo (hope that is not too much information!).

Funny thing is, that if i wake early, say 6am and can't resist on getting on the scales, if I go back to bed and have another say hour's sleep, i can sometimes have lost another pound. Its almost like once you have enough rest, it's like your body doesn't need to hold onto extra calories for an energy boost.

Haha awesome with losing another pound in the morning.

By the way, going to the loo is not TMI, now if you said something like going to the sh***er then yeah that might be something, haha.

I don't think there is a best time of the day to weigh yourself...you said it yourself - just be consistent and use the same time each day. You shouldn't get hooked on the number on the scale. Use it as a guide to monitor your weight.

I weigh myself first thing in the morning bc it's easiest for me to keep the same conditions each day. I do weigh myself sometimes in the middle of the day just out of curiositiy...it's usually 2-3lbs more.

Me too romilly...I wake up between 6:30 and 7am to take a pill and sometimes visit the facilities.  On exiting the bathroom I check the scale.  Then I get back in bed and sleep til about 9:30am.  I visit the facilities again and prepare to take a shower where, once I'm naked, step on the scale again.  It usually has gone down by a little bit...weird.  Sleep burns calories. lol

Morning after I pee, before I do anything else.  Everyday.

I think that you burn calories when you sleep because although you are resting, this is the time that your body is repairing itself and restoring energy used in the day to muscles etc .. so its quite logical for you to loose a good bit of weight when sleeping :)..

I weigh myself every morning right before I go into the shower for an idea of where I stand, BUT I also weigh myself before I go to bed every night. I won't count the weight loss unless I weigh it at night too... meaning I would have completely lost the weight. If I don't weigh it at night time, it means I don't weigh it at all. :)
