whats your cardio workout?
I just run. It's the only thing I really enjoy
I like to switch up my cardio almost daily so I dont get bored, but I usually try to do 45-60 min at least 6 days a week. I go between the elliptical, the cross trainer, the stationary bike, the stairmaster, and the arc trainer at my gym. Sometimes I'll do 35 min on one and 25 on another, or 20 min on 3 different things, just depends on my mood. :) Variety is the key for me!
Lately its a cardio class at the local community college, recumbent bike and elliptical. I enjoy walking but do to shinsplints and plantar fascitis had to cut that out plus its just too darn hot in AZ unles you get up at 3 am LOL
I really enjoy the eliptical, but for some reason it doesnt seem like that great of a cardio work out for me. When I run on the treadmill I can really feel my heart pumping and I run out of breath quickly. When I am on the elliptical, my legs just get sore. I rarely start breathing hard or feel my hart pumping hard . . . so is the elliptical really a cardio workout?
Julie -- is the machine's resistance level maybe set too high for a beginner? I like my resitance set at about mid way and then I also move foward and backward to work different muscles. Also if the machine has arm movement be sure to utilize those as well. The more muscle groups you use the more workout you'll get. Be sure to step up the speed if you find you aren't working hard enough - cuz believe me the elliptical should be a great cardio workout and it may be you aren't pushing hard or fast enough
I ride my bicycle to work 2x a week
I run on the treadmill and outside about 3x week, do the elliptical if I get bored with running, and then do a spin class 1-2 times per week. Spinning is an awesome cardio workout, and it gives you the opportunity to use the opposite muscles as when you run. Try it!
i like the elliptical and/or stair climber
one day i will master the treadmill, for right now i dont enjoy it much :)

I alternate walking/running on the treadmill for 40 minutes 4x per week. When I'm at college, sometimes I'll mix it up and use the elliptical.

Tues: Pilates and Yoga (2 hrs)

I run, bike, rollerblade, ice skate, and swim, all on a fairly regular basis when the weather permits. Swimming, running, and rollerblading are probably what I'm best at; I'm still working on my biking skills. I also go climbing on occasion.
I generally have one or two rest days a week where I go for a walk instead, but I almost always do some form of cardio every day.

30 minutes on an elliptical 4 times a week. Any more cardio would make me bored.
1-hr cardio kickboxing classes 3x/week, "couch to 5k" 3x/week.
Machines are boring!!

I just run for my cardio workouts! I love it because running pushes you to your limits and it tests your strength. It is very hard, but there are so many benefits!!
My daily workout usually consists of 30 -45 minutes on either the stationary bike or elliptical, medium-high intensity and resistance, followed by 30-45 minutes of strength training/weight lifting. I do 5 sets of 20 when I weight lift. Or if I'm feeling tired or lazy, I'll do 2 sets of 25 reps, but no matter what I always get my cardio in!
Sometimes I'll do 15 minutes of HIIT and like an hour of walking later on in the day.. usually I run/jog for about 45 minutes, but since it's been so hot out I've been doing 30-45 minutes of interval training [not as high-intensity as HIIT] 4-6 days a week.
I bike to work for 150 miles a week.
although I'm lacking in the exercise world, dance dance revolution is awesome - because you can get SO into it and it counts for cardio!
They way i do my weights is like cardio, I do them interval style alternating between weights and then short burst of cardio, so my heart rate stays at about 130 all the time, do this for abut and hour 5 times a week. Then for pure cardio
