What's the difference between an indulgence and a binge?

I've seen people use the term "binge" to describe their indulgence in an extra cookie or something. I've seen others describe a binge as downing a whole jar of peanut butter or finishing a package of Oreos. What is the difference between a binge, a slip, a treat, and an indulgence?
Answer
In professional terms, a binge is defined as consuming a large quantity of food in a very short period of time, until one is uncomfortably full. The individual feels out of control during the binge, which is followed by feelings of guilt and shame. A treat or indulgence implies that one is in control and has given himself permission, thereby assuaging guilt. A slip implies an involuntary error, perhaps with some guilt, but not accompanied by eating large quantities and feeling uncomfortably full.
