What's For Dinner - Thursday

Quote  |  Reply
I am making Hobo Dinners tonight.  Hamburger patties in a cake pan with cubed potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, peppers and just about anything else I can find to throw in there.

How about you?

All I've got on my mind right now is a slice of homemade pecan pie.
80.....no..... I love pecan pie. But it is for holidays only.

*hugs*
my dinner is spread out because I am working 5pm-9pm...so around 4ish I'm having 1 cup 99% fatfree progresso chicken noodle soup and a slice of light wheat bread then after work, and on my way to the gym I'm having a low-carb snickers marathon energy bar
We had low fat crumbed cod. Boiled new potatoes, and a blob of baked beans, prrrrp!

Healthnuttie I love soup.  I usually make home-made stuff and freeze it but it is the perfect comfort food for me especially when it is getting colder outside.

elttiks - your dinner sounds great.  Any leftovers?  I am coming over.  :)
How many people eat a salad before dinner every night?  My hubbies family does.  I think it is a great idea.
Modified nichisoise salad - Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, blanched green beans, cellery, baby boiled potatoes, tuna and hard boild egg with a fat-free may/viengar/hot mustard/cellery seed dressing.  Yummy!
Leftovers... made a beef barley stew and we're finishing it up tonight.  It was really good.  Here's the recipe if anyone's interested:

Avantslot your salad sounds really good.

zooyork - thanks for the recipe.  I bought some barley the other day but I wasn't real sure what I was going to do with it.
Broiled tilapia, broccoli, brown rice, spinach salad with grape tomatoes.  Dessert is a big, juicy, very ripe, bartlett pear.
*Smile* Clairelaine you always have wonderful meals.  Will you adopt me?
A big salad with baby greens, spinach, cucumber, dried cherries, toasted almonds, grilled teriyaki chicken breast and sesame ginger dressing.

A bottle of Pellegrino with lime.

For dessert, one Lindt dark chocolate square and a cup of Lenotre coffee. YUM!

Wow! It actually sounds alot more appetizing now that I've typed it. :)
I have some wonderful homemade alphabet soup in the crockpot. At least it will be alphabet if my husband remembered to put the noodles in when he got home. :)
