being that im just starting out - im taking up Walk Away The Pounds by Leslie Sansone
im starting off at the 1 Mile Walk, then maybe next week ill go up to the 2 Mile Walk and then on to the 3 Mile Walk and so on... anyone else do this? and IF you do - what do YOU think about it? is this a Good Way To Go? hopefully it will help ME... Whats Your Favorite Exercise?
I used to walk. It started off my weight loss. Due to the fact that I didn't want to look like the fat person in an aerobics class I just didn't go. I have finally come to terms with being that fat soon to be thin person and I am now taking spinning classes where I lose anywhere from 1200 to 1600 calories in one hour. I also take Step where I burn 1400 calories when you are ready I highly recommend these classes.
I love LOVE Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds videos, i think i probably have 4 of them, even though i havent used them in about a year, when i did used them they really did aid me in losing about 50 lbs. reading this post makes me want to start doing the videos again lol. i hope her videos help you, i know i had fun with them ![]()
My favorite workouts aren't really workouts, just going wild on the playgrounds and climbing in trees and running in the forests. At least it gets me exhausted, so I quess it counts as exercise...?
If we talk about offical exercise; then swimming and bicycling is for me.
I LOVE doing leg presses and leg curls at the gym. I have so much power in my legs and I love knowing I can press over 200 pounds with ease.
I love to train with weights, it don't take much to break down those muscle tissues. With that add muscle I burn more fat.
I also dance to a few great songs twice a week for an hour.
The top 2 are.
Get my body and Just fine.
I also like lighter exercise like dance and walking. Cycling and swimming is very enjoyable - i love coming out of a swim feeling really hungry and sleepy, it's a 'cosy' feeling once you've swam and eaten!
My favorite exercise of all is the Stairmaster, followed closely with biking and weights.
It's so much fun. ![]()
Early morning long, easy runs with my Cross Country team.
weight lifting cuz it gives me a buzzed high & shapes my body. running cuz i get a nice relaxing high & i love to know that i can run from or chase someone (well unless they are a better runner than me). i like yoga because it relieves stress.
actually i used to do this korean ki gong class when i lived in the states. after each class i felt like a million bucks. it was such a weird feeling. you did yoga, body tapping, mediation, tai chi, energy sensitizing, etc. after every class i couldn't help but smile inward and outward. oh & while not as hard as weight lifting, i always slept like a baby afterwards. wish they did it here, sigh!
I absolutely love weight lifting. There's nothing quite like it! Puts me in a great mood for the rest of the day. I look forward to getting to the gym for my 3 strength sessions each week!
- Walking
- Ab Crunches
- Soccer
I love spin class!! I think it is a fantastic way to incinerate calories and pushes me much harder then I push myself...
I also love lifting weights, especially doing legs. Let me just say if I had to pick one exercise its walking lunges!! They really help you sculpt your legs and butt like no other!!
Shopping!
Strenght training & biking!
walking, for sure! i'm a stay at home mom and i'm inside a lot. walking gets me out in the fresh air, on my own. it also provides me some fantasy time: i strap on my iPod and crank up the sound. i imagine the new and imporved me doin any and everything that i could do when i was too big.
My fave instructors are
- Cathe Fredrick
- Amy Bento
- Turbo Jam Lady
Marching is my favourite exercise.
I loooooooove Turbo Jam Dvd's!!! I have a lot of fun doing them, and they are a great workout! You can set it to where you barely hear the instructions and more of the music (for after you've done them a bunch) it's really fun!
I also love lifting weights. Can't beat it!
I love hiking. I miss it so much. I used to live in Nashville and there are a gazillion awesome trails there, but now I live in Chicago and there's really nothing like it. There are some paved trails, but it is so completely not the same. Anyway, it's great exercise and it goes by so fast. It's incredibly relaaaxing as well.
Okay, mine's kinda funny, but true: Wii Fit!!! It is SO much fun and really gets your heart going and sweat pumpin'!!
