What's your food obsession?
So I'm so obsessed with Boca tomato basil parmesan burgers!!! I also have a huge love for laughing cow light swiss cheese wedges! My newest obsession is raw spinach!!! I never knew how good it was!! It's wondeful as a salad base w/ some tofu, hommus and rediced fat feta!!!!! I also have forever been obsessed with pretzels!! What are some foods you guys obsess over?!?!
Corn Tortillas (60 calories, not bad at all!)
Black beans
Salsa
Cabbage
Butternut Squash
Reduced fat firm tofu (so much protien for so little calories!)
Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese
Frozen Blueberries
Skim Milk
Oranges (I find their high water content, and the time it takes to peel them make them extra satisfying)
Whole Wheat Spiral noodles
Miso Soup
Cilantro
Ginger/Garlic
Canned tomatos (use them to bulk up a range of foods, super convinient to have on hand)
Steel Cut Oatmeal (I make a couple of servings at a time and heat up individual servings in the morning) I think it tastes so much better than regular oatmeal
Baby Carrots and Hummus
I need more tips on what to order at restaurants and what to stick to at buffets
I cannot live without fresh fruit. Apples are undeniably my biggest vice EVER! If I am totally full, but I see/smell/feel a really fresh, crisp, firm apple, it's done for.
Other recent food phases include:
Multigrain cheerios with vanilla soy milk (SO GOOD!)
Homemade frozen bananas (I just melt one small square of Ghirardelli 86% Cocao chocolate and pour it over a frozen banana, sprinkle w/ ground flax or nuts for garnish... so easy and a real treat! Healthy, too, since I am controlling the chocolate amount.)
Soy yogurt w/ pumpkin seed granola mixed in
ZenSoy chocolate pudding w/ fresh berries mixed in
Apple, cucumber and onion sandwiches! It sounds crazy, but try it! I have mine with Veganaise, but add whatever else you wish!
Curry hummus (from my local farmer's market, to die for!) w/ carrots
Maple brown sugar oatmeal. Instant oatmeal is just too good sometimes.
Pretty much any vegan cookie ever.
Oh and one from a year ago, I was all about that Asian rice cracker mix, the kind with dried peas and sesame sticks. Not sure if I can have it anymore though, is that stuff vegan? I'll check... I kind of hope not, because it's starting to sound extremely tempting right about now! Haha.
Fun thread :)

I'd eat them everyday if they weren't so loaded with calories. If anyone knows a healthy way to make them I'm all ears haha

I love Dannon light n' fit yogurt, oatmeal mixed with various things, & jalapenos/jalapeno hummus are my current fixations.
Put me down as another one obsessed with almond butter. I just adore it.
Also asparagus. That probably sounds weird, but ever since I was little asparagus has been my favorite food. When I'm deep in an asparagus craving, it could be a zillion dollars a pound because it got imported from Saturn or wherever and I'd still buy it.
sweet potatoes
cottage cheese
apples, grapes
mushrooms
- PLAIN YOGURT; I could eat nothing but yogurt forever and ever.
- Cottage cheese (I like Friendship's 1% unsalted)
- Beans, heheh
- Chunk light unsalted tuna
- Feta cheese
- Flaxseeds
- Chicken
- Oatmeal pancakes, or oats in general
- Egg whites
- Almond butter
- Lara Bars
- Any fruits and veggies... except cabbage.
- Ezekiel sprouted bread products
I seriously eat all of those things every day and I LOVE EM!

Also fruits and sweet potatos.
