Whats your non-food reward for your next goal?

Quote  |  Reply

Mine's perfume. Its so expensive that I cant bring myself to get it now for no reason, so I'm going to finally reward myself with a really nice new scent when I get to where I want to be. =) Also probably some new clothes, but thats kind of necessary.

Do you guys have any mini-rewards for your lesser goals? This ones probably more pertinent for women, but like... lose 5 lbs and get a pedicure/massage/etc?

Hmm a non-food reward huh? ha ha! Is it bad to say that I reward myself by buying nice juicy salmon fillets & sashimi? HA HA HA! But when it's NOT food it's probably: pedicure, manicure, massage or simply lounging on the couch and NOT moving an ounce! ha ha! Or I will go and buy a ridiculous amount of gossip/fitness magazines... go to Sephora and buy this AMAZING SMELLING LOTION (smells like frosting) or go to Victoria Secret and buy THONGS!!! I am obsessed with panties! ha ha!

Haha you sound a lot like me in that aspect! I totally go all over on the magazines and then VS-- oh man. I spend wayy too much money in that store haha.

I love buying new fitness gear. I just bought new shoes, a new sportwatch, and a new workout outfit a couple weeks ago. Today I was thinking I might buy myself matching wrist and headbands to celebrate how far along I've come in jogging.

Actually, I just started on mine. My goal was 164, which was 63 pounds down, and a normal BMI. When I reached it, I called up an old friend/old boss/former master in my piercing apprenticeship and made an appointment with her for a new tattoo.

I spent three hours under the needle on Saturday and have at least two or three more similar sittings to go before I'm done.

Saidinplaid-- I'm with you on that one! I love new fitness gear too haha. I vote you go for the wrist/headband set =)

What kind of tattoo did you get dreadfulpenny?

Dreadfulpenny - just wanted to say that's a great idea. I should try it on my husband. "The only way I can continue to lose weight is if I'm allowed to get a giant calf piece started." =)

Mine is either a luxurious bath (you know, the whole deal: bubbles, candles, and music), or shoes..... I LOVE SHOES!!!

My starting weight was 199, currently I'm 193 and at 184 I'm going to buy myself perfume. My aunt buys me perfume every christmas and last christmas she bought me harajuku lovers-G and it was the most amazing smell ever! It was kind of a small bottle and I ran out very quickly! Once I reach my first 15 pound goal I am going to buy another bottle! Every 15 pounds I'm going to buy myself somthing. At 179 I'm going to buy myself a nice watch, at 164 a nice purse and 149 a nice pair of shoes and then finally at my overall goal 134 I'm going to buy a really nice dress!

I've been doing the New Rules of Lifting for Women program since January and its great. I've lost inches and look longer and leaner- which was a goal.

My reward is a photo shoot. I have always wanted to do a pin-up/50s glam type shoot and a friend recently did one: photos turned out AMAZING!

I am going to treat myself to the shoot, getting my hair done and also getting makeup done at MAC!

:)

i don't do "rewards" per se, because--let's face it--when i want something, if i can afford it, i buy it.  but i started running today after about six weeks off due to surgery, and all my summer running clothes are way too big.  i bought them when i was 35 pounds heavier.  so if i'm consistent with my running this week, i'm going to buy new running clothes (maybe some lululemon).

I'll get a new bathroom scale when I reach my two weeks eat right exercise right goal. :) I think the old one is broken and I have no idea if I'm losing weight or not because it's always fluctuating so terribly. For instance it told me several times that I was 15 pounds heavier than I was... (used the gym scale)

Lame, I know.

What a great idea!!  I had thought about an expensive pair of cuctom-made jeans, but I like your idea of perfum.  I need a new fragrance. Think I'll steal your idea....Smile  Best of luck...and let me know what perfum YOU choose!

Great -can we see it when done?

you know what? I had non-food rewards for certain checkpoints in my progress.

I completely, completely forgot about them! The results are so much more reward that I have not even thought about any other "reward"!

This realization just made my morning! :D

My next mini-goal (every 10 lbs), the reward is a new pair of pajamas. I love cute pajamas and Kohl's has a really great selection so I'll probably get them there. After that I think the next one is a nice Tourmaline mineral facial at the Aveda institute here (students do it but it's cheaper).

im going to reward my self with a massage for sticking to the plan for the first week

For those who were asking, you can see pictures of the beginning of my tattoo here. I've lost 67 pounds and the upper part of my back looks great, imo. I'm working out daily and still working to slowly, slowly lose weight, so eventually the lower portion will look better.

I had to lose that first 63 pounds to be able to drop the back fat rolls enough to be willing to put so much effort and time into a full back piece.

well, my mom promised to take me on a shopping spree once I fit an 8. I was 168/size11/12, now I'm 153!! not sure what size yet. 2 weeks ago I think I was @ 156. 8s were too tight and 10s were showing my underoos. we'll see this weekend.

I'm going to Vegas for the weekend to reward myself for losing 55lbs. There was a HUGE sale and my friends asked .... so off I go.

I'm not original.

Mine is also a tat. I have a large piece running from shoulder to waist and would like to get it extended to my ribs... but I want to be comfortable lifting my shirt to show it off first : )
