What's in your fridge?
What foods do you currently have in your fridge... healthy, unhealthy... What do you wish you had in there and what do you WISH wasn't in there but cannot seem to stop buying?
eggs, jars of homemade tomato sauce, blueberries....wish I had some veggies (must go to the groceyr store tomorrow!)
Oh goodness, I have lots in my fridge, but it's mostly good stuff!
Bad stuff: French onion chip dip, diet soda, ding-dongs (I'm NOT eating them though, I swear!).
Good stuff: Strawberries, apples, mandarins, blueberries, onions, garlic, mixed greens, skim milk, a few varieties of yoghurt, SF jello and pudding, salad dressings, diet green tea with ginseng and honey, diet v8 splash, vegetable juice, olives, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, roma tomatoes, mustard, light mayo (ew), cucumbers, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, smart balance, english muffins, corn tortillas. ETA: There's also deli sliced turkey, reduced fat cheddar, and egg whites.
As you can see, I have a lot of time on my hands right now to type all that out. I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff I can't remember.
I wish I had some grapes right now. Or birthday cake......but mostly the grapes. ;)
broccoli, celery, carrots, eggs, soy milk, avocado, banana, collards greens , lemons, apples, tofu, almond meal ,orange, endive, artichoke.
I wish I had a piece of cake.

how about your fridge ?![]()
There's never much in my fridge. I live alone and if I buy too much at once it all goes bad. Currently, I've got some old cucumbers and bell peppers I probably need to throw away. I've got some soy sauce, orange juice, grapefruit juice, eggs, milk, kimchi and some leftover veggie chili. I should prob. check the expiration dates on my juices though. I only have one glass a week so it's probably spoiled.
seltzer, eggs, 1% milk, butter, peanut butter, cheddar cheese, pineapple pieces, apples, lemons, kale, tons of hot sauce and condiments, olives, cottage cheese, dill pickles, cabbage, cilantro, assorted leftovers, various dried fruits, kimchi, fake crab, pineapple-orange juice, tofu
A HUGE party sized pizza for my son's birthday party tonight, 2 lbs of strawberries, baby romaine, orange and yellow bell peppers, cucumbers, baby carrots, brocolli that I should eat soon, celery, 3 bags of Granny Smith apples (they were on sale for $1), red apples for my daughter who doesn't like green apples, a canteloupe (yuck), left over cabbage roll stir fry, dill pickles, pickled vegetables, eggs, regular cheese, light cheese, laughing cough cheese, sliced ham, sliced turkey, about 6 different varieties of mustard (no idea why), a jug of strawberry Cool Aid for the birthday party (not a regular drink in our house - I make my kids drink soy milk or water!), at least 6 bottles of different light salad dressings, a Dove chocolate bar (up high where the kids can't see) that I eat 1 square of a day, a HUGE Costco size jar of minced garlic, 2 bottles of half used ketchup, low fat sugar free yogurt, olives, condiments of every description, Aloe juice, Almonds, Cashews, a couple of bottles of beer, soy milk, chocolate soy milk and a jar of salsa of unknown age....
When we had to buy a new fridge, we bought the biggest one we could find!
I'm cooking for one most of the time, so my refrigerator isn't as loaded as some of you who need to feed a family. All these things are in small quantities. I have to keep to a low sodium diet, so there's a lot of fresh foods.
Dairy: Milk, eggs, yogurt (fruit on the bottom kind - yeah I know it's bad), butter, healthy margarine, shredded cheddar (low fat), parmesan (the real thing), light sour cream. I need cottage cheese.
Fruits - oranges, apples, strawberries, pears, lemons, limes, I'd love some melon.
Vegetables - fresh fennel, celery, carrots, onions, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers. frozen spinach, lima beans, green beans, broccoli, brussels sprouts, corn.
Meats - chicken, salmon, lean ground beef, a cornish hen. I wish I had a good steak in there.
Grains, seeds, nuts - whole wheat grains, quinoa, brown rice, white basmati rice, whole wheat couscous, flaxseed meal, wheat germ , sunflower seeds (raw), almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds.
Condiments - low sodium ketchup, dijon mustard, sweet pickles, chili sauce, worcestershire sauce, stuffed olives, roasted garlic, fresh parsley, fresh ginger root, light mayonnaise. I need to make fresh salsa.
Prepared foods (frozen) - homemade baked chicken, beef tomato & rice casserole, vegetable soup, chicken broth, cooked red beans. packaged foods - none. I wish I had some pizza, but it's not to be.

how about your fridge ?
Everyone seems to have some good stuff in their refrigerators! You all sound pretty healthy (with the exception of some "treats" of course! ha ha)... So what's in my fridge @ the moment... Well lets see....
- Chicken Stir Fry (Bell Peppers, Onions & Chicken)

... Now the freezer is a lot more jam packed! I have over 40 pounds of grass-fed red meat in there (I was gone for a month, so it hasn't been touched in awhile - these meats are: bison, beef, elk, ostrich, lamb & goat... I also have Eel, Salmon, Chilean Sea bass & Frozen veggies in there too... and that's all I can fit in there! ha ha!
*Is anyone else excited about the vegetables, fruits & other foods that are available during the summer months?!?!
My fridge:

Apples
Sweet Potatoes
Fage 0%
Dannon Light and Fit Yogurts
Lean ground turkey

I think that's it :)
items in my fridge: eggs, onions, cilantro, jalapeno, ginger, gala apples, one orange, broccoli, spinach, cucumbers, carrots, romaine lettuce, green and red peppers, orange juice, berry juice, rhubarb, avocado, cheddar cheese, condiments, dressings, whole grain small tortillas (which i eat), white flour large tortillas (which my hubby eats =P), pico de gallo, ground beef seasoned for tacos, sour cream, plain yogurt, dove dark chocolates, oreo cookies (which i don't eat. i'm not so tempted by store bought cookies), coca cola and rock star energy drink (won't touch the stuff), 1% milk, and i don't know what else.
i don't regret anything that i buy, but i'm not so happy about some of my husband's choices. =P
I wish I had sweet potatoes, salmon, almond butter, wine, more avocadoes, hummous, and fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and marionberries.

I cannot even articulate how excited I am for summer produce. My husband and I purchased a share in a local community supported agriculture program, so every week (for 26 weeks) we get a box full of super fresh organic veggies! It just started on Wednesday. When I got home from picking it up, I immediately tore into the sugar snap peas. They were so incredibly fresh and sweet!
- broccoli
- cauliflower
- spinach
- peanut butter
- cabbage
- organic milk
- carrots
- mayo, mustard
- tuna
- amy's frozen meals
- frozen peas and broccoli
I want something like a cake and ice cream mmmmmmmmmm
