What's in your fridge?

Quote  |  Reply

What foods do you currently have in your fridge... healthy, unhealthy... What do you wish you had in there and what do you WISH wasn't in there but cannot seem to stop buying?

My fridge has a variety of stuff.  Currently it houses items for my dad (who has ALS and trouble eating), my mom, my brother and myself.

FRIDGE

Kool-Aid (brother's), whole milk (dad's), 1% milk, Pur filtered water, V8 fusion goji berry juice, prune juice (dad's), seltzer, chocolate vodka(awesome stuff, but I can't drink anymore), strawberries, green leaf lettuce, lemons, limes, vidalia onions, baby carrots, tomato (sliced be me), cherries, prunes(dad's), avocados (mom's), black olives, white mushrooms, deli turkey breast, deli ham, deli roast beef, sliced cheddar, feta, kraft parmesan, hot dogs, uncooked spare ribs, bacon, eggs, Dannon FOTB yogurt(dad's), Dannon Lit&Fit yogurt(mine and mom's), unsweetened applesauce jar, unsweetened applesauce single serve cups(dad's), chocolate pudding cups(dad's), left over egg noodles, left over meat sauce, left over mixture of ground beef-sauerkraut-peas, left over tuna salad(bro's), left over baked potato with spinach, loaf of multigrain bread(mom's), pie crusts, chicken skins and knuckles(for dog), whipped cream, 3 containers of yellow mustard, hellmans classic mayo, french onion dip, horseradish, 2 kinds of french dressing, italian dressing, catalina dressing, ranch dressing, barbeque sauce, ketchup, dill pickles, baby sweet pickles, pepperincini, capers, polaner all fruit strawberry, apple butter, pesto, bacon bits, grenadine, light corn syrup, chicken base, spanish olives, mint jelly, minced garlic, vitamin E caplets(dad's)

There's more stuff in my freezer but typing what was in my fridge tuckered me out. I actually made trips to see so I would be accurate.  Lots of that stuff is old.  I don't eat a lot of what's in there, or rather I haven't been.

I am most looking forward to the peaches that come in summer.

Airee: I am so glad your husband is so hands on and willing to go through all that effort of telling you everything in your fridge! Seems like a very good guy who is willing to do a lot for you! You're lucky! :)

He was in the other room next to the kitchen playing video games. He did complain, but he's a good friend as well as a good husband. He usually does what I want if I whinge enough. ;) Thanks for the compliment, I'll let him know. He loves it when people think I'M the lucky one. XDD

airee,

Looking for that vegemite....oh there it is in the cupboard.

Too salty and expensive for me in the USA, so peanut butter has to do the job.

But every once in a while.....

Healthy: apples, xtra trim milk, the healthy pasta salad i made  for my mum for her lunch today, baby carrots, (a lot of salad vegetables), olivani lite spread, eggs, homemade pumpkin+potato soup, low fat chicken slices

UNhealthy: full fat milk (my mum bought it for some reason... probably for baking), butter, ham slices

i WISH we had my lite cheese slices! :( and also i wish we had green grapes.
