A healthy body mass index (BMI) is anything from 20 to 25. Over 25 health problems can start.

At 6'5", a BMI of 25 would put you at 210 pounds. That's fairly heavy, but it will work with your very tall frame. 210 pounds would be your maximum healthy weight

EDIT: PS my BMI is 33 so I can sympathise!

Second Edit: You asked how many calories to consume in another thread (please don't ask off-topic questions like that in someone else's threadP. Check out the Tools section of CC. You'll find the Burn Meter can give you some idea how many calories you burn in a day.

I tried it with your stats, assuming you're a total couch potato, and came up with 2740 calories. That's what you burn in a day. For how much to consume in you food, eat 500 to 700 calories less to lose weight. 2000 would work unless you are more active; if you exercise 2500 cal would be a better diet.

I hope this helps.

Greetings

I wold strongly urge you to see a doctor, dietition or a personal trainer as BMI is poor way to measure your state of health. You could easily have very large muscles, and bone structure and this scale does not take this into account.

Every body builder on the planet are classified as obese by this scale.

A good guide is to measure your waist, hips and chest, and then look up what a 6'5" person should have for waist measurements.

If you are very fat/large for your frame, pyschologically it's a great idea to keep doing 10% of your goal weight until you feel comfortable and happy. This is one of the methods Weight Watchers use.
