I get hungry late at night while watching tv. But I heard somewhere that in order to lose some weight you're not supposed to eat after 7pm?

It doesn't matter WHEN you eat. It's calories in vs calories out. If you consume fewer calories than your body requires to maintain, you will lose weight.
i like hot cocoa or a banana, or string cheese and crackers... or, ooo, ooo
an apple, quartered and cored, lay skin side down, sprinkle with cinnamon and microwave on high 3 1/2 - 4 mins until tender and juice pools in bowl ~ should be able to scoop off with a spoon & reminds me of apple pie :) apples & cinnamon both are good for lowering cholesterol and cinnamon is also good stabilizing bloodsugar...

That's funny, I don't go to bed until 3 in the morning. So if I didn't eat after 7 pm I'd be starving every night! I sometimes like to eat Breyer's lite yogurt or frosted mini wheats with skim milk.
Yum, I just had Strawberries & Cream Quaker instant oatmeal. I got super hungry after running on my treadmill. How do you night owls go about your sleep schedules and such? Do you guys have breakfast? I heard breakfast was really important so I've been trying to wake up early just to be able to have breakfast in the morning. But does it really matter? I too stay up late, and sleep in a couple times a week. And im not sure if it matters when I eat, supposedly its good to eat a little bit through out the day about 6 times a day to keep your metabolism going, or something. Im clueless really, but I think you get what I mean. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
Breakfast (literally, breaking the fasting done while asleep) is WHENEVER you eat your first meal after awakening. As a niteowl, my breakfast is usually around 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Awesome! I dont have to wake up early to eat, haha, Thanks guys im glad to know that the time of day in which you eat your meals doesnt really matter. Thats good to know, one more question, even though it doesnt really matter should it be about the same time everyday? Or just whenever you're feeling hungry. Hm.
It should be soon after you get up to help you have energy to get your day started. Eating only up till 7:00 is meant for those that who go to sleep around 10-12 pm. Many people recommend not eating for a couple of hours before going to bed as a full stomach makes it hard for them to sleep. But then others find it easier to sleep right after eating so it depends on which type person you are.

Are you posting your night time eating? You have to stay 500-800 calories below what you burn or you will gain weight. Especially eating at night. You burn much less calories sitting around watching TV.

slice up an apple, put it in a bowl with a little bit of water in the
bottom, and put some plastic wrap over it, microwave, then add cinnimon
and some splenda...maybe sprinkle a little granola on top. tastes like
apple pie.
A glass of lowfat milk is great. It has casein protein, which is slow to digest, so it will feed your muscles for longer, which is great when your sleeping and otherwise starving your body.
A lot of people say that a calorie is a calorie, but if you go to sleep with something that hasn't been fully digested, then there is a difference. Some things are more likely to be turned into fat than others. There's a reason why many bodybuilders decrease their carbohydrate intake later in the day.

One of my favorites is frozen cherries (unsweetened, packed in water). Let them partially thaw and munch away. The freezing seems to concentrate the sweetness. Although they have carbohydrates, they also have a lot of fiber, so don't eat too many at once (I eat a cereal bowl full).
Another favorite is a bowl of frosted shredded wheat with skim milk. Yeah, that's ~500 calories, but again, it has lots of fiber, about 16g of protein, and 300mg of calcium. I just budget for it.
I round things out with a large mug of tea (usually one teabag black, one mint), sweetened with Splenda.
