just wanted to know what your fave, healthiest, low-cal most filling food?

home made veggie soup

red beans and rice, especially zatarain's reduced sodium mix. 200 calories for a very filling meal.

TOFU WITH REFRIED BEANS AND ARUGULA/SPINACH. I've been very obsessed with this combination the past couple of weeks. I slice the tofu really thin and it kind of resembles egg whites.

Oatmeal!! 150 Cal  for a 1/2 cup dry - add a little Stevia and and a sprinkling of cinnamon - Yum! that fills me up for hours

Also - egg white omellete on ww toast (my combo is 120 Cal), and tuna on ww toast (160 Cal).  In this case - the trick is a mix of carbs and protein that keeps you full longer..

I've been eating a ton of Healthy Life bread lately. It's only 35 calories per slice. Add a little bit of low cal jam and you're golden! 50 calories tops for a slice of bread and a bit of jam. You can't beat that.

Apples

Celery sticks with hummus...3 tbsp of the hummus I use is 75 calories and then about 12 celery sticks is another 25 or so...and that fills me up for a while for only about 100 calories.

potatoes

Birdseye steamfresh select whole green beans, steamed in the microwave, and sprinkled with pepper.  I eat the whole bag as a filling snack!

Apples with peanut butter.

Eggs!

A salad with tons of fresh veggies and next to no dressing ( I use that spray stuff that has 10 calories a spray).  I like a little crunch to go along with my veggies so I will either crush up 2 tortilla chips or add some bacos.  YUMMY....and filling..Only about 200 calories

I eat this when i'm hungry and want something sweet. It's 2 pieces of demster's bread (same as w.w.) 1egg white and sweetner of choice , make french toast and than i put a tsp. of maple syurp on each. yum. I really like them I tried to use egg sub. but need more of it cause it doesn't go as far.

Sorry I forgot that I add cinn. to my egg and sweetner too.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Power Bar, 250 cal, full serving of whole grain, 10g of protein, and 5g of fiber! keeps me FULL. I eat one almost every day and i love how they taste :)

Last night I made something really good.

Sauted a bunch of brocolli, squash and onion (all cut up real small) and then threw in 4 egg white with some salt and pepper.  Heaping portion for less then 100 calories, and was SUPER tasty too!

PS - any veggies would do. :)

When in season, I love to eat broiled asparagus with a little sea salt!  Otherwise, a couple cups of mixed veggies steamed with seasoning & a bowl of soup will fill you up.

I like the Campbell's Select Healthy Request line because it's lower fat & sodium.  ;-)

Homemade three bean soup.  High in fiber, low in calories, fat, and sodium.  A cup keeps me full for at least 3-4 hours.

Edamame

It is the most amazing stuff ever, it's the japanese "bean" like thing. It's like a green bean but so so much better

I'd rather have a cup of edamame then a cup of chips( and I love chips!)

Try it, you can find it if you go out for sushi or in the frozen section of your grocery store

Ya i agree with the edamame! with a little salt theyre delicious.

but my fav is dannon light nfit yogurt. 60 calories per little yogurt cup, seriously SOOOO filling. oh and two eggwhites with ketchup=50 cal

Seconded on the apples.

Have an apple and a bottle of water and your good to go.
