What's the most embarrassing thing in your closet?
For me, it's not something that's currently in my closet but something that almost was. I'm cleaning out my fabric bin and found the most horrendous pink net-looking fabric with white solid geometrical shapes that look like they should be on the Flintstones' clothing. I don't know what I ever thought I'd use this for, though old sketches suggest a really short dress. Thank goodness my sewing machine broke around the time I bought this fabric.
You're talking about articles of clothing, right?
:)
I see no reason to be embarrassed about my articles of clothing.
*seeds of doubt are planted*
Well, the only thing that comes to mind is the mini-skirt covered in nickel-sized silver sequins... that was a mistake. I don't care who you are, that will make your butt look big.
:)
*runs to slam her closet door*
Nothing of interest in there!
Oh wait...there is that one particular jacket...I thought it would go well with some jeans. It does not.
Clothes-wise: almost everything I wear is embaressing because it's all size 22 or 24 and I wear a 12 or a 14 now. Oops.
I hate shopping. Someone want to do it for me???
For every day wearing, I'm assuming... let's see... I have a "80s Party Outfit" that consists of skin tight black leggings and a huge oversize shirt that is a shiny gold and black...one side large black dots, the other, thick black stripes. I wear it with my big huge plastic jewelery and rock the look. Oooh yeah.
Funny you should ask, cleaning out my closet last week I found the once coveted and often worn moon-boots.
For those of you who are too young to remember or have never lived in a snow state they were huge white clunky boots with massive plastic tread that looked exactly like the boots that walked on the moon.
That's right I was some SEXY in a lunar landing kind of way.
Put them on with great glee and almost died from laughing.
Non-clothing related, I have both a Backstreet Boys and a 98* CD in a box in my closet. I didn't buy them, they were a gift and I can't bring myself to chuck 'em or give them away.
I guess I would have to say my ball gown is the most embarrassing thing in my closet. Yes, a full on purple taffeta princess of Wales style ball gown that makes me look like a formally dressed grape from the '80s. I can't get rid of it because it was passed on to me with great love by my BF's grandmother who has very fond memories of wearing it to formal dinners.
That thing takes up a LOT of space, too.

What's so embarrassing about the Backstreet Boys?
Probably wouldn't be for most people. They're just really not my usual listening material and therefore rather difficult to explain. I do know several songs from them, but that's mostly because they were on the radio every other second when I was in high school. :)
Hmmm....
well lets see...probably size 24 MATERNATY PANTS! LOL...in sky blue....Hahahaha!
I know I was fat, but they have this HUGE thick waistband and that blue....OMG...what was I thinking!!! I've never even been pregnant. HA!

Pfft. Everyone thinks the Backstreet Boys are awesome.
Ha :) Of course! I apologize for forgetting this and will endeavor to remember it in the future and make amends :)
The closest I can get to an embarrassing moment (one that was recent and clothes related) was when I was in a rush and put on a pair of tweed pants that I had forgotten were hemmed to be worn only with flats. I threw on my heeled boots and left without checking the mirror. I was shopping in the mall, and every mirror mocked me ... I felt soooo conspicuous with my socks showing!!!
Then this woman took a photo of me with her cell phone... pointed at my ankles... I just knew she must've been planning to post my photo on Glamour's Do's and Don'ts site!!! So then I obsessively checked that site for days... LOL...
It was just really weird, this woman snapping a photo then rushing away...
