what's the most tasty light ranch out there?
I'm a ranch lover. I have found that Ken's steakhouse light ranch is pretty darn close to regular ranch as far as taste goes and it's only 80 cals per serving. My favorite regular ranch is that thick restaurant style ranch but it's too high in calories. Does anyone have a favorite light ranch that is as close to the real thing as possible?
I like to use fat free sour cream, a bit of milk to thin it out, and some powdered Hidden Valley Ranch mix. It's really the only light Ranch I can stand to eat. The rest is sugary or plasticy or tasteless. Ew.
My favorite dressing is the Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch Dressing -- without the mayo. Yep, that's right. Just buttermilk and the packet. Most people think its too runny that way, but I absolutely love it. Make it with nonfat buttermilk and it's pretty much guilt-free.
I keep a shaker full of it in the fridge at all times. I marinate my chicken with it, my pork chops, dip vegetables in it, put in on my salad, use it to wash windows....(okay, well, you get my point).
Instead of milk you can use a little fat free mayo with the fat free sour cream to make a thicker veggie dip.
Its yum.
