What's YOUR next fitness goal?!

Quote  |  Reply

Everyone has different fitness goals in life - you may want to be able to dunk in basketball, run a marathon, etc.... I thought it would be neat for people to share what their next fitness goal is!!

Mine is to be able to do a chin-up! This will obviously take time to accomplish seeing as how right now I can only hang in the air from the bars looking like a clueless monkey. It is quite embarassing to do at the gym when people are around! :P

mine is to run a 10k in under 55 this spring.

I'm working on doing 15 minutes of full on HIIT: 30 seconds sprinting, 30 seconds jogging. Right now I do 6 cycles with four of the six jogging segments being more like 30 seconds of "barely surviving"

40k Time Trial in under an hour.

Tonight for the first time im doing some kind of exercise with a giant rubberband, so, i hope i wont hurt myself! That's my goal.. XD

Two parts:

1. Get my single rep bench max up to 250lbs (while keeping my weight under 170)

2. Get my mile time back to 4:40 or less

Hahaha! Well be careful and good luck! :)

I just started training for a 5 km race.  Today I did the 5 in 35 minutes.  This is the first time I did the full thing.  I am happy that I did it in this amount of time.

I was ready to stop at the half way point but pushed through it.  Normally I would have given up.  This is a good week for me.

well to get better fitness goals I just upped my calories from 2200-2400 to 2750 range, I wasnt really losing any more weight, however, I want to build more muscle and burn fat, so upping my calories at a perfect time.

go from 10 chins up in a row to 20

do about 30 pushups in a row, can do about 15 in a row

start bench pressing my weight (174) 8 times, I can do about 135 8 times, however, stopped lifting weigths and concentrated on pushups and chinsups and other body exercises, so I dont really know what I can do at this momement. I would hope near 145.

I just ran my first half marathon, which was a big goal for me that I've been training for for over a year. Now that I've accomplished that my next big goal is a triathelon next summer ... half ironman distance ...  I think I've lost my marbles!!! Surprised

Wow! You guys all have impressive goals! I am motivated by your motivation! :)

I agree Vidoloca

Impressive goals! You guys are amazing!

My next fitness goal is to go to the gym tomorrow for the first time in a week and a half (have been away on vacation then lazy to get back into it)

:)

to compete in the next ottawa figure competition (in july)

workin' my butt off to get there.

A clueless monkey, haha!  :P  Chin-ups are hard, though- I feel your pain.  Best of luck accomplishing that goal!

My next fitness goal... hm... well, I'd just like to continue to stay active while I'm at college, and try to go to the gym as often as I can.  Not nearly as specific (nor as ambitious) as the others here, but there you go.

Hi,

My fitness goal is to get back to New Rules of Lifting and get my body in better shape and also run a 50K ultra trail marathon early next year.  I just want to have that experience.  I have been running 20 miles every month or so. It's hard but not impossible.

Good Luck to everyone on their pursuits!!

One of my fitness goals was a really good push up  now I can do 50 of them!! So it does happen.

Now there's some dedication! I don't think I'd ever be willing to put the effort into being able to compete. That's awesome!

break 27 in a 5K race.  in my last two i got 27:01 and 27:02.  SO FRUSTRATING >=[ =P

to be able to do 100 pushups straight up within the next four weeks

Climb a 5.8 route... and go outdoors for the first time!!!Laughing

I want to get my VO2 back into the "elite" catagory.  Currently its dipped down into "good"  so more cardio for me and more pushing it cardio.

I also want to be able to fit back into my size 10's with a little wiggle room -

up mileage to 10k and sign up for a 10k sometime early next year
