What's your Non Scale Victory ( Brag away )
Melkor "Hey, crow away - we're all due a little brag time now and then. ( Which reminds me, I should change out the runner recruitment drive with something new, so if anyone want to have a brag thread up top, make one ;) )"
So here we go.
Since starting weight lifting vs doing cardio all the time - all though I've gained weight due to poor eating and stress and stuff I've managed to drop back from a size 14 to a 12 and the 12s are getting baggier every day.
So what is your personal achievement that you want to share!! Brag it up folks!!
Reason: Stickied for well-deserved pat on the back to everyone ;)
I went to the Gym 3 times this week, I loss 1 inch off my belly and my thighs. I am happy.
I've been consistant with running almost every day and have improved my time weekly.
I also just finished my first 7K and came in 3rd place (1st female)!
My total cholesterol has dropped from 263 to 165, my triglycerides from 420 to 85, my fasting blood sugar from 108 to 95 - all without prescription meds.

NOW..that is AH-MAY-ZING! Good for you!
Today I ran my longest distance yet, 11 miles! I was watching the NYC marathon today and I got so inspired by all the personal stories from regular folks who ran for so many charities. That's just awesome! Running the NYC marathon in 2010 is now my goal.
Well, lets see:
-All of my clothes are huge on me
- Lost inches
-boobs shrank
My goal listed in my profile 1.5 years ago when I signed up for CC was to "..consistently climb a 5.9 rated climb. (sans profanity)." Yesterday we hiked in, climbed all day and hiked out by the light of the moon. Including last week and this week-outdoor climbing-I hit three 5.9 climbs and part of another one. Sans profanity. I am so psyched.

last one doesn't sound too good :)
I can fit into my brother's 34x30 jeans now. 7 months ago 42x30 was tight on me.
For the first time since we been married I'm am smaller than my husband!!!! I can't belive that. He wears a med shirt and some of shirts are too big! :)
Met and exceeded my goal for a 5K. I ran in 28':40" a 9':14" min/mile. :-D
Next goal is to run a 5K under 27' or a 10K under 60'.
My weight hasn't changed and I still wear the same size but my stomach is flat as a board! Lovin' it!
This morning I was straightening my hair and when I had my arms lifted up they didnt look as flabby as they usually do! I had to hold a pose in the mirror!!
AND I live on the 3rd floor in my apartment and dont get winded when going up them anymore!! =)
I've been relatively fit and active during most of my life and still always been very self critical about my figure. I started running a lot a few years ago which has resulted in an injury that stopped my running dead in its tracks. My accomplishment is learning ways to work around this injury while learning to accept and embrace what I look like no matter what.
About two years ago I jumped off the bed of my truck, and crushed bone in my ankle. The bone started to die, and it took almost a year to show up on any tests. Then I had surgery. The whole thing took about a year and a half. I ended up gaining about 60 lbs. When I was able to walk again I lost it all!! I decided to start going to the gym, and I got back into my highschool clothes! I have never had a flat stomach, and came to terms with that. Today I noticed a big difference with my belly! I don't know if it will ever be flat, but my belly is already smaller than it has ever been in my life! Yay!!!
I finally ran 5k in under half an hour, after being stuck on 30:15 for what was feeling like weeks.
I ran 29:58!! which is very good for me.
When I first started running I was running in 43 minutes and 47 pounds heavyer.
I'm so motivated to get faster now. ![]()
I can see my upper abs for the first time ever. Now, to work on those pesky lower abs....
I can do 9 chin ups and 44 full press ups. I can run for 60 minutes and I have lost six kgs. All slowly achieved over 5 months with a personal trainer. When I started I could do 5 full press ups and no chin ups...and my heart rate was off the chart when doing cardio.
Well I am up to 60 minutes of cardio every day! I used to get so winded after 10 minutes! Also, I managed to do squates with 35 lbs on each end of the bar...3 sets of 8!! Kinda didnt think I was going to make it all the way up on the last one! lol
I did my fastest running workout to date!
7.41 miles in 1 hour @ a pace of 8 minutes 4 secs per mile.
see it here: http://tiny.cc/NFfiO
I was running the other day, and a dog started to chase me. I Dont know what kind but it wasn't very big. The point is, I kicked into high gear and out ran it until the dog gave up.
