Melkor "Hey, crow away - we're all due a little brag time now and then. ( Which reminds me, I should change out the runner recruitment drive with something new, so if anyone want to have a brag thread up top, make one ;) )"

So here we go.

Since starting weight lifting vs doing cardio all the time - all though I've gained weight due to poor eating and stress and stuff I've managed to drop back from a size 14 to a 12 and the 12s are getting baggier every day.

So what is your personal achievement that you want to share!!  Brag it up folks!!

I noticed 2-pack abs this morning! It was definitely defined, and a lot of fat is covering the other 4, but hey, I'm officially 1/3 of the way to my 6-pack! I can't wait to show my boyfriend when I get home!

Incredible progress.  Congratulations.

I began working out and calories restricting 6 days ago and already my middle has shrunk! I have made it to the gym and eaten healthy EVERY day (except my one rest day) and I feel so much better! My attitude and outlook has improved and I have more energy and sleep better!

I ran a 15k--ran it, no walking! I ran for one and a half hours straight! If you'd told me that three years ago, I would have thought you were crazy.

Ooh, that was like two months ago, but I didn't have anyone to brag to then, and now, even just writing it, I feel great all over again. I'm going out for a run. Bye, y'all.

Yesterday I did an 80 lb lat pulldown! when I started doing this in mid april I could only do 50 lb. I'm so proud of myself. Laughing

EVEN THOUGH- I am just now getting back into shape,  I attempted and succeeded in doing all three splits!!  I am proud to say i still got it! (at least with flexibility)!!!!  Yay!Wink

I've run 6 marathons and have done a full Ironman ( Ironman az) and was the youngest female to ever do it. I finished as Wonderwoman, woot.

gymgirlx and chelle5787- both of your accomplishments are really impressive!

I want to brag about dropping the 2x off all of my shirts and 6 inches off my jeans. When I was at 220 I had to wear XXL shirts (almost XXXL) to be comfortable and have a little room to move. Now at 190 I can wear all those L shirts I have and have the exact same room to move that I did with the XXL shirts. Also my jean that I work in are like super baggy now. Dropping from a 42 inch waist to a 36 inch waist is the cause tho. (Not that I'm complaining.)

I wanna go to that bank manager I know that was talking to me about weight lost the other day and said I will never be able to shed the pounds cause weight lost is the hardest thing anybody can do and I won't be able to dedicate myself to it.

Two victories to share in the same week!  I used to HATE running, but I'm loving the results of now being a regular jogger and getting into shape...

Went 4th of July shopping - and I'm a consistent size small!  I had to keep reminding myself to move down a notch when looking at the clothes racks.

And even better than the weight loss was my doctor's appointment this morning.  The nurse asked if I was an athlete after taking my blood pressure (102/64) and ambient pulse (57).  yeay!

I'd love bragging about this one.... I ran a 5k on forth of July. I've never been a 'runner.'

I ran the 5k here last year and did good. I finished it and wasn't last (that was my goal. lol.) So, despite a crazy shedule of moving and such and not keeping up with my regular workouts, I ran the 5k again this year. My goal was to finish with a better time than last year. Since I am in much better shape now and much lighter.

Well, I did it! My time was about 4 minutes better and I won 3rd place in my age division for women! I can't believe it! I image if I had been training for it, I would have placed better but I'm not complaining. I'm very happy with my results!

I ran 15 minutes straight on my treadmill!

I've dropped 18 lbs. since I started tracking my weight loss. I think in total, it has been 35 lbs. lost!

My 'fat' belt is on its tightest hook.

Most of my work pants had to be taken in.

An old acquaintance looked me up and down when I saw her after years of not running into her. She's way bigger (hope she gets fit), but it did motivate me to go home and work out some more! I'm thinner than when she last saw me. (Catty, I know. Sorry!)

I think my boobs are shrinking! A huge "yay" for me. Definitely.

I now only rarely feel a tingle down my middle back (Associated, I think, to the boobs.)

I LOVE THIS POST! GONNA GO WORK OUT NOW!

Yesterday at the grocery store I resisted a major dietbreaker......I picked up the bag of salt and vinegar chips thinking of how I have been so good with my eating lately.  Put them in the basket..walked a foot away, and turned around and put them back on the shelf, picked them up again, looked at them for like 10 seconds, and then left them there and walked away as fast as possible. hehe.  SOO glad I didn't buy them =)

Into the fifth week of P90X and I was able to get my first unassisted pull-up!  I haven't been able to do a pull-up since high school, woot!

I did 18 pull-ups/chin-ups in a row! AND I'm a teenage girl!

I can do "Thighsolator" (lol) exercises on 15 lbs more than I weigh. Dip machine on this weight also. Also, I am only one clothing size away from my goal.

I got another one:

Yesterday while doing my road run the girl that braids my hair drove straight pass me cause she didn't recognise me.

5 months post-op knee surgery (debridement & microfracture to patella-femoral joint) -

Finally being able to walk without limping

Being able to climb the stairs without pain

Being able to cycle for 30-40 minutes without my knee collapsing.

Its been a long road but I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel!

I had my second baby 7 months ago. After losing 18 lbs in the past 6 weeks, and running on a treadmill and having taken 5 out of 18 kickboxing classes:

- I now have cuts in arms resembling triceps!

- I can run for 3 minutes without stopping on my treadmill..slow but positive progression to running my second half-marathon!

- I can still feel the pain in my abs a day after a strenuous ab workout!

- My size small tank top fits me once again!

- The size 12 jeans I bought in May need a belt!

- I can do at least 6 perfect pushups! Getting back to my record 26!

- My posture is much better...my back doesn't hurt as much!

- I can breathe much deeper these days!

2 years ago my heart rate after a quarter-mile jog was 110...which probably correlates to about an 80 bpm resting?  Anyway, now my heart rate is anywhere from 45-55 bpm in the morning.  Yay! =]
