Melkor "Hey, crow away - we're all due a little brag time now and then. ( Which reminds me, I should change out the runner recruitment drive with something new, so if anyone want to have a brag thread up top, make one ;) )"

So here we go.

Since starting weight lifting vs doing cardio all the time - all though I've gained weight due to poor eating and stress and stuff I've managed to drop back from a size 14 to a 12 and the 12s are getting baggier every day.

So what is your personal achievement that you want to share!!  Brag it up folks!!

I ran 10k this afternoon for the first time (6.2 miles) and got it under the hour... good for me because I'm so short!!

I've been doing some simple arm exercises with light weights for the past month or so, and the last time I went home my mom commented on how toned my arms looked. It's so nice when somebody notices! Laughing

I actually find the weights to be too light for most of the movements, so am buying some slightly heavier ones soon. No more stick-thin chicken arms for me!

I bought a wii fit and I'm having so much fun with it, I'm boxing everyday and can't believe how good I feel when I'm done.  It also weighs me and takes my BMI everyday so I can see my progress.  I've been venturing into the strength training part, I'm getting better at some of the balance excercises.  Lost 6 lbs in the last 10 days.  I still have a long way to go but I am enjoying excersise for the first time in my life.

I want the wii fit, Im getting the new one that comes out in sep... I have ea active and it help alot! I lost 8 lbs in the past few months, and I didnt even know. After having a baby 9 months ago I am 9lbs away from my start weight I gained 50lbs while I was preg.... I have more than 9lbs to lose but I am happy to see 159 on the scale instead of 187...

Im bragging cause my HS b/f I saw last night still seemed like he was interested! ahahaha! victory! that has to be the biggest confidence bost in the world!!!!

In a year and a half I've gone from torn meniscus/ACL to running again and faster than before! I just hit and sustained 7mph :D  For my 5'2 frame, I'm happy with that!

My non scale victory would have to be my flexibility! I've never been flexibile, but after a lot of stretching everyday, I am about three inches off the ground when I do the splits!

I'm thinking another  two weeks, and I should be all the way on the ground.

I just had to share because this made me so happy.

I have worked out the past twelve days in a row!

I ran 3 miles in 25:40 the other day!

My first 5K was in June and I ran 28:01 but I'm hoping to be around 25:00 at my second one in October.

So, i think this is a bragging thread Foot in mouth

So i'ma BRAG away :P

Ok, lets see

I just broke 19 inches on my Biceps, and just pushed my max curl to 145 --

I'd like to get my bench up to 300+

I'd like to drop to about 16% Bodyfat - with out losing lean mass

Currently 270 LBS ( Approx 210 Lbs of Lean Mass ) ~~ Approx 24% Body Fat.

I just discovered this post and so glad because even though the scale says I only lost 9-10 lbs within the last 2 months, the measuring tape tells me I've lost a total of 11 inches overall!

Been on CC for 2 months and also working out at least 3-5x per week.

I lost 6 inches just in my stomach/belly area and 2 inches on my waist!

Dress size went from 14 to 11/12.

I'm also on day 16 of the 30 day shred workout challenge and am able to complete 40 minutes of taebo without feeling like I'm about to die lol!

Think I've found my twin! lol

I'm 271lbs at approx 22% body fat

18inch biceps

Bench press brag: 365lbs for 2 reps

Aiming for a 400lb squat

365 on the Press - Yeah i'm a bit behind in that area rotator cuff injuries (Bursa sac is inflammed, and the Supraspinatus xD)

I'd love to be curling 225, god that would be so beast, full size olympic bar with 4 plates xD

Awesome size on your arms!

I'd like to get mine to about 21-22 inches, and stop xD

 I hear that my brother!

I used to do my rotator cuff on a regular basis benching over 300lbs.

I actually don't know how much I could bicep curl as I don't do them.

I just do pull/chin ups instead these days.

I used to curl 66lb dumbells many years ago when I was younger, but I don't do any isolation movements anymore.

Ok I don't have much to brag about ... haven't been dieting long.  BUT I actually broke a sweat in the gym two days in a row.  Dripping sweat.  I've never been able to sweat before - I just turn incredibly bright red and people think I'm about to pass out.  I'm excited because docs say that when you sweat is when you release growth hormone!  I worked out just like I had before except that this time I lowered the cardio intensity and exercised for longer duration.  I didn't turn bright red! Yay sweat!

Broke into the 150's today! Woo-hoo! It's been 2 months of CC & Working out 4-6x a day.So total weight loss is now at 12 lbs. since May 2009. Slow going but I'm getting there...Laughing

Also lost a total of 12 inches in my waist, lower abs, bust and hips!

Was also able to do 16 pushups in a row today without "cheating". When I started I could barely even do 1 push-up!

Mentally & psychologically, I'm not as depressed as I used to be a few months ago. I haven't even ha a "down": episode...when I do get down I exercise for a "pick-up". Maybe because of all the exercising and of course because my clothes are getting looser and I'm just excited with all the inches and weight loss!

Keep going everyone...this really works...just stick with it. I'm determined to stick with this lifestyle change for life.Smile

  • I can finally jog a mile on my treadmill, which I wasn't able to do 1 month ago. Laughing In fact, I ran a 12 minute mile yesterday!
  • I actually fit into a size 10 jeans now (even though they're stretch jeans). I was a size 14 before.
  • I feel like I have more energy now. yay Laughing

This is kinda random, but I got complemented today at the gym on my deadlift form. This made me feel good, not only that someone went out of their way to say something nice (rare at gyms in my experience), but also because I've been unsure about my form on the deadlift and have been reading more and watching videos. :)

Today I had my body composition tested and got 18% BF and 68.2lbs of muscle! this is my best reading ever and I'm so happy, my nutritionist thought that I could not lower my BF without losing muscle and not only have I not lost muscle I have Gained about 3lbs of it in the past 11months.

 YEYYYY!

I ran 6 times around a 400 meter track yesterday without stop and not gasping for air when I was done. That's a 2.2k run. This might not seem like alot to most people but I couldn't run 100 meters 2 months ago without clutching my heart and trying to suck up all the oxygen after the run.
